Legit cajun seafood boil in a sketch area. If you're looking for ambiance or an experience, this isn't the place (unless the experience you want is an adventure). Tourists be warned. It is takeout only - there is no seating available. I saw a few pictures and reviews on Yelp that mentioned seating but that is not the case, at least not at the Broad location. It's small inside and you get in line to order and then pay at the register. There are some free parking spots around the corner on Washington Ave in front of the beauty supply store. Don't bother trying to park in the restaurant's parking lot, it's a mess with everyone double parked so even if you find a spot you might get blocked in. Honestly we were a little concerned about leaving the car around the corner where we couldn't see it, but it was fine and we weren't there for too long. You can definitely tell this place is a local's favorite. It was packed and had a long line to order when we walked inside. The staff was very efficient though and the line moved quickly. The service was expedient, about what I would expect from a seafood market type of establishment. Courteous enough but definitely no nonsense as they are very busy and have to run a tight ship to keep things moving along. They mistakenly overcharged me for something and when I pointed it out they refunded the difference without any issues. As for the food, everything we tried was on point. 10/10. Crawfish was super tasty. The cajun seasoning was flavorful and spicy. I don't know what they did to the corn but it was amazing. They must have boiled it in butter or something. Potatoes were perfect and had great flavor. We also ordered the shrimp fried rice and shrimp po-boy, both were great. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. If this place was near me I would probably be going every week to get my crawfish fix. I'll be checking out their other location and will definitely be back here again.

Wow... my friend recommended me to this place for seafood boil. First off .. apparently it's in the hood per my Uber drivers. They don't have anywhere for you to sit, so you purchase & bring it back to your place. It's super spicy if you can't handle spice. I could handle it, but was struggling. The sauce is really flavorful & it doesn't taste oily like other places I've had. I'm Asian and the rice isn't what I'm used to (hard long grain). The crawfish was fresh and I probably paid the cheapest ever for 3lbs of seafood. Definitely recommend.

Found this place first on Yelp and then when talking to our Uber driver he mentioned this place without being prompted so I knew it was going to be great. At first was thinking of getting a shrimp poboy but Uber driver mentioned to try a hot sausage poboy dressed with cheese; "order it like that!"... so that's what I got! I ordered a small which is a foot long. I can't imagine grabbing the large! I barely finished my food because it was so filling. Service was good; there's 2 spots to order from (boil vs. fried food side) but since it wasn't busy, they only had one line open. You walk up to place your order, pay, and get your number that they call out once ready. Place is very spacious and clean. We ended up coming again the day we were leaving for a quick bite. A local hot spot!

This is the place to GO for some bomb ass crawfish boil! Line is always out the door, but well worth the wait. The vibe is super casual, people are here to FEAST! We got 5 lbs. of spicy crawfish and a few corn, plus spicy garlic butter on the side. You can order your seafood boil regular or spicy. We chose spicy because we knew they would bring the heat. The spice level had us teary eyed. Don't order spicy if you're in between spice tolerances, just get the spicy garlic butter to dip into. The crawfish were succulent and juicy, so flavorful with spicy Cajun seasoning. First, you have to separate the head from the tail. Next pinch off the head and suck it, getting all the succulence. Then, peel the tail, dip it into the spicy garlic butter which makes it literally out of this world. Imagine little, tiny lobster tails. The spicy garlic butter was house-made and an extra $4 for each little 2 oz. sauce container. Well worth it, this stuff was liquid heaven. The crawfish was $5.99/lb, an unbeatable price for the quality and quantity. Ended our feast with a slice of Ooey Gooey Red Velvet Cake. Every bite was a soft, buttery, melt in your mouth delight. We had a wonderful time here and highly recommend coming here for a seafood boil when you find yourself in New Orleans. Best crawfish boil, hands down!

OMG! The best Cajun Seafood and Po Boys ever!!! The gumbo is the best I've ever had- a deep rich seafood stock full of of shrimp, chicken, andouille and crab. Soft shell crab Po Boy and hamburger Po Boys were fresh and delicious on soft yummy bread. Wings are fabulous, I had the Dungeness crab was spicy and delicious, $19 for a lb of these babies, seasoned delicacies! Service was awesome! These ladies and gentlemen really are very hospitable and friendly. The only thing that scared me was the security guard with an AK 40, I guess it's the neighborhood....Ambiance - no tables so everything is to go, they also sell their fresh seafood by the lb. The best!

Cajun Seafood is a popular takeout spot for seafood lovers in search of bold flavors and unique seasonings. Specializing in boiled crawfish, shrimp, and crab, the menu also features a variety of fresh seafood options. Along with the seafood, Cajun Seafood also offers a variety of sides such as fried rice, pasta, boiled corn, and potatoes. What sets Cajun Seafood apart from other seafood takeout places is the unique blend of flavors and seasonings used in their dishes. The spice level of their seafood can vary, but they are known for being quite spicy, particularly their crawfish, so it's worth noting that those who are not accustomed to Cajun food may want to proceed with caution. For those who love a good kick in their food, this place is a must-try. As a regular customer, I can attest to the quality of the seafood and the excellent service. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, making it an excellent value for the money. The local community seems to share my opinion, as it is a local favorite and a must-visit destination for seafood lovers. In conclusion, Cajun Seafood is a great destination for those looking for a unique and flavorful seafood experience. Also don't forget crawfish pies if that's your thing ( how can it not be ?)

Located right at St. Charles & Carrollton on the streetcar line, it's super easy to get to and always buzzing in the best way. The drink options are endless--great cocktails, frozen margaritas, beer by the glass or pitcher, and a huge variety of beers to choose from. TVs are everywhere, making it a perfect spot to catch sporting events, meet up with friends, or just hang out solo. The vibe is low-key, casual, and welcoming--no frills, just a consistently good time. I also love that they're open 11 AM to 1 AM, seven days a week, which is clutch no matter the day or occasion. And finding out they've been around since 1977 just adds to the charm and legacy. If you're looking for great happy hour options, strong cocktails, classic New Orleans eats, and an Uptown spot where you can relax and connect with friends, Cooter Brown's always delivers. Definitely one of those places that never goes out of style. A true NOLA staple.

We came for their happy hour and sat outside on their patio. Despite it being November, it was considered their Summer Happy Hour which is available daily from 4 pm to 6 pm. This is what our party of four ordered - oysters and all the house snacks: * Whipped Feta HH $10 - Toasted sourdough was quite enjoyable with the hot honey topped whipped feta. I may need to get more whipped feta in my life. * Marinated Olives HH $5 - Yummy collection of olives. * G & T Mussels $10 - Mussels were nicely cooked and the fried saltines a nice touch! Yum! * Ishmael Fries HH $5 - Crispy and light with an enjoyable aioli. * Shucker's Dozen Oysters HH $24 - We got two dozen of these. They came with mignonette, cocktail sauce, horseradish, and something else. So fresh! Not only was the food great, but the service was wonderful as well. Despite being outside, we never felt neglected and our server along with the rest of the staff were on it. At one point, our waiter had to go to the back to help shuck oysters to help with the demand. There was no lapse of service as the staff stepped up to support his absence. They worked amazingly as a team here and it was well noted. Pigeon and Whale was one of our most enjoyable happy hour oyster experiences in New Orleans!

I went with a large group so we decided to get a variety of appetizers: seafood dumpling, roasted cauliflower, ceviche, chargrilled mussels, and grilled octopus. I liked it so much I had to order another one. We decided to try taste the rainbow, which is a 1/2 oz taste of 10 Negronis. I highly recommend this if you like Negronis. For my entree I had the swordfish schnitzel, which was delicious. For dessert I had the lemon cheesecake, it was perfection. I would definitely come back to this place, my only complaint was that the service was slow, our wait staff were very nice but we had to tell them multiple times we were ready to place our order. Great location on Feret St.
