The crawfish had good flavor. The shrimp seemed over cooked cause I had a real hard time taking the shell off. The snow crabs weren't warmed up long enough but my family still enjoyed them. Area is a little sketchy but overall my experience was great! I had snow crabs, crawfish, potatoes, and corn. Let me just start with the potatoes as that is my favorite side. PERFECTION. A huge pet peeve of mine is delicious seafood and terrible potatoes. These were seasoned throughout and cooked perfectly. The snow crabs and crawfish were nicely seasoned. Tried out Read Seafood today while in town for work. The overall quality of the food was good. I have the boiled shrimp, corn and potatoes. The flavor and seasoning was near perfection with all of my dinner. Not too much and not to little. I would have to say that the shrimp were a little tough but not unbearable. I have been coming here for years, actually since I was a child. I enjoy the crawfish (when they are in season, not a fan of frozen crawfish). I am not too fond of the boiled shrimp but I think that is a personal preference. The fried shrimp plate the other day tasted bland which isn't usually the case. Wasn't sure if it was because it was close to closing. I enjoy their ooey gooey cake. Occasionally the boudin is a hit or miss. Not sure what happened but this is certainly not the same restaurant that I enjoyed several years back. I ordered shrimp fried rice and a fish/oyster sandwich and they were both bland as can be. I couldn't even finish it. Customer service is non existent. I asked for an empty Styrofoam bowl to portion out the rice and was curtly told by the cashier that it would cost 50 cents. Never again. Usually awesome! We get fried shrimp and fries or crawfish from here. The shrimp are good, great value. The fries are always fried too long. The crawfish changes sometimes. Sometimes too spicy or too bland but they are still our go to for the price and we don't have wait in super long lines like other places. They aren't reliable with phone orders though. What drew our attention was the active/busy line of locals going in and out, some licking their fingers (no joke.) So we had to pull over and try it. For seafood - this place is our absolute favorite! The Gumbo, the boiled variety of seafood, the PoBoys - my mouth is watering thinking about it. I had the roast beef the first time, mostly because I'm new to seafood and dont love it yet, but someone else in my group had the shrimp and I had a bite and LOVED it, so that's what I got the second time.
