If you like seafood then CajunLand in the West Bank area of New Orleans is a treat. A multitude of different options to choose from. When you walk in you're warmly greeted by the staff. The place is set up like a market and the food is more buffet "ready to serve" style. I believe they have a menu for you to order additional things (fried fish, shrimp etc) that might require a wait if you so choose. My reason for stopping in was because I had a craving for crawfish. Crawfish still isn't yet in season, but $5.99/lb for pre-frozen in 2024 isn't all that bad. I ordered two pounds w/sausage, potato and an egg. I also had to get an everfresh (if you know you know if not, find out lol). Everything was good. I will say the flavor of their boil is a bit on the sweeter side compared to some of my fave spots out in the Shreveport area, but good nonetheless. read more

On 05/13/2024, I went to this business to purchase crawfish.. When I walked in, I noticed the crawfish were a lil more pricey than other businesses. SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SIGN.... I asked the guy was the crawfish "FRESH LOUISIANA" in which he gave a facial expression and said "YEA"... SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SIGN... I ordered 6lbs and went home... When I attempted to eat the crawfish I immediately notice the most of the crawfish were very light colored and not running the size of crawfish for around this time of year..... As I ate one, I immediately realized that the crawfish were not fresh but that were possibly imported, frozen, or redipped.... My wife tried them as well and we noticed that the crawfish were basically a mixture of imported, frozen, and Redipped..... TRASH TRASH TRASH ... Lil quick eat spot in Terrytown, Cajunland Seafood! Tasty bites for cheap! My favorites here are the wings, shrimp plate and fried rice with extra duck sauce. I love that the shrimp are tail on! My only reason for taking a star is the odd color of the rice. I started to not eat it when I first found out about this place, but I went ahead and it's pretty good. The price of crawfish is ridiculous! $7.69 when I got crawfish last week for $5 something from somewhere else. 2. Its alot of COVID going on and only 1 person had on gloves! 1 out of the 10 people working in there. 3. They selling FROZEN crawfish! 4. Its not worth the money! 5. They have a good selection of drinks ‍ thats why I gave them 2 stars. 6. They cook hot food there but if the workers serving the seafood not wearing gloves then I KNOW the cooks not. *Listen we as a community have to put an end to things like this. I randomly found this place while driving on the Westbank and it turns out they have some of the best boiled crawfish I have ever had. The boil was more of a salty and flavorful taste. Crawfish bouls are definitely a classic experience of New Orleans. They live up to the name of Cajunland here. They had everything I expect for the boil-- spice, flavor, some sweetness. The price was right. I was in and out of there with 3 lbs between a friend and I. We should've gotten more for sure. My husband found this place through a friend and I've since then have been hooked!! I've only had their handmade hot sausage on a bun and guys...it's so good!!! First time here to say that crawfish isn't in season, so these was previously frozen I must say they was still tasty with the garlic butter sauce. The boiled shrimp was good, but some was way to mushy/soft the corn was okay. I would definitely try here again once crawfish are in season. read more

I ordered a 12pc buffalo wings with shrimp fr. Rice. And a regular wings with fries. The fries were good, like cant eat just one good. The regular wings were ok. The buffalo wings were not what I expected. I thought they would be battered as well but they are naked. I dipped one of the battered wings in the buffalo sauce and it was a really good combo.
