North Broad Seafood was recommended by the staff of the hotel we are staying at. It is basically a convenience store. There are soft drinks, chips, others snack, cigarettes and then a hot food bar. We ordered a few items off the hot food bar. We got the Beans and Rice, Gumbo, a couple of boiled eggs and a sausage link. Everything was very flavorful and a good portion for the price. A corner store that sell bomb crawfish??? Wow was not expecting this, we got a lb of crawfish for $4.99 perfectly spicy, half lb of shrimp, gumbo and a side of potatoes. Everything was amazing! The line was wrapped around the store and I see why. This isn't a sit down spot, grab and go sit and the nearest park.

This spot has it all. It has pretty good crawfish when its in season, good poboys, etc. It is also one of the most acclaimed spots for turkey necks, if that's your jam. But this review isn't about those things. This review is about the FRIED RICE. North Broad Seafood has the best fried rice in the city. My boyfriend and I frequently go out of our way for this fried rice. Do yourself a favor and try it out for yourself.

Wanted some real NOLA crawfish and was not disappointed! It's nice and flavorful much better then the crawfish in MD. We were directed here by many NOLA Residents. This is not in a tourist area by the way. They sell soul food as well.

Lovingly referred to as the "Blue Store," the Seafood Store on N Broad is a New Orleans gem. This was my first time getting crawfish from them, and they did not disappoint. I ordered 3lbs of crawfish with sausage and potatoes. The crawfish was well seasoned with a spicy kick. And the staff was very friendly and helpful when I was deciding what to order.

Crawfish that was my leftovers it was too good to take a pic before

New Orleans food can't be beat. I only go here for their red beans and rice. There's are the best I've ever had.

Food was very mediocre and they had run out of crawfish before dinner. I was excited to go here and left disappointed.

The blue sto is definitely a must anytime we're in NOLA! The lines are long but they move quick and the food and prices are worth the wait.

Hot N Cajun With no seated tables available when I arrived…read moreat Hot'n Cajun Boil House on Iberville Street in New Orleans, I happily accepted a seat at the bar. Behind the bar, Sandy mixed me a Summer Peach (Absolute Vodka, real peach, sweet tea, fresh lemon, $14) and provided the bib and gloves I likely would need if in fact I wanted to enjoy a crawfish boil. Of the dozens of restaurants I've visited in New Orleans, rare is the menu that includes a crawfish boil. Hot'n Cajun has it. I asked the barkeep Sandy B. if it was still crawfish season, and she assured me that it was. So I ordered 3 pounds of boiled crawfish (including potatoes and corn on the cob, $25.99), asked that the seasoning be "medium", and Sandy brought me a Model ($9) with a neat Maker's Mark ($12). The experience was pretty close to what I remember we'd find if invited to a neighbor's crawfish boil. Three pounds sounds like a lot, but the yield is more like half a pound, at most. So I put the gloves and bib on and started in on the crawfish. Nice presentation, and very good, fresh crawfish.

For the crawfish we chose the house cajun blend + mild spice, and for the crab we chose the Louisiana style dry rub + mild spice. It was absolutely delicious, and reasonably priced. Our server was even kind enough to demonstrate the proper way to eat the crawfish. I'd highly recommend this place.
