No courtesy call before having me drive there and rearrange my day. What made the situation especially frustrating was that I had an important appointment afterward and specifically made time for this service because one of my nails was broken and painful. Instead, I was left scrambling last minute to find another salon after my confirmed appointment was essentially canceled in person. As a long time paying client, the way this was handled felt dismissive, disrespectful, and incredibly poorly managed. If a nail tech does not wish to take a client, that should be communicated before the client arrives not after changing their appointment time and having them sit in the salon. I remained respectful and calm when I left, but I genuinely have never experienced something handled this unprofessionally at a salon before. I believe it was Helen that worked on my daughters nails & she was very gentle with my daughter. she double checked to make sure she was comfortable & even brought out an extra cushion to help her relax in the pedicure chair. I really appreciated that since she can't actually lean back into the chair. Tina did my pedicure & Gel-X set. she noticed my heels were looking a bit rough & she stood up....and freaking polished the hell out of my heel. my heels are so incredibly soft now, it's not even funny! once the pedicure was complete, she took me to her station to do my gel-x set. she let me pick out the colors I wanted from the design picture I sent her. whenever I had any issues with the manicure, she would stop & fix it so I would be happy. her attention to detail was phenomenal. she free handed the little vines and leaves I wanted on my nail perfectly. my only issue was that her spray paint gun wasn't working so she had to do my ombre by hand. this wasn't even her fault, but the white powder she mixed into the white nail polish was a bit clumpy. she did her best to get rid of them, but it's still a bit noticeable. She was super gentle and operated with precision, which I absolutely value. Things to notate and are nice to know are: they operate by appointment only. However, once I was seated, the entire pedicure was rushed and finished in under 30 minutes, even though the salon's website states that a regular pedicure takes about 30 minutes. I understand being busy, but I don't think that should mean rushing through a service. My nails were not filed evenly, and the cuticles were barely trimmed. After the pedicure was finished, there were still quite a few cuticles left, and honestly, my feet didn't look or feel like they had just received a pedicure. I will say that the technician was very nice and did a good job polishing my nails, the color was applied nicely. I didn't get her name, but she was sitting at the first station as you walk into the salon. I'm giving 2 stars because I felt the quality of the service was sacrificed because they were busy.
