Second Update: So I decided to give this place another go since the owner said they would address those issues but my visit today has just really reinforced how awful this place is. I wish I could give zero stars. First of all, the nail tech never asked me any questions (about how short I wanted my nails or what shape I would like) so he just went at it however he thought was best. Thats not a huge issue with me because Im not that particular about those aspects of my pedicure but its the attention to detail that makes a place great in my opinion. Next, when he did the scrub on my legs, he never fully rinsed it off and a huge chunk was just chillen on my ankle even after he rinsed my legs with running water. He then went on to oil/lotion up my legs with that blob of scrub eventually getting mixed into the massage and it wasn't very pleasant. But okay, thats forgivable. He wasnt looking at my feet when he was massaging. He missed it. Human error. But then, I saw what he did with the tools after my pedicure once again. He took them to the sink at the back and rinsed them off which is exactly what put me off about this place last time. But to make matters worse, he then put them into a sanitizer bag (the little clear blue bags you see most salons take their tools out of) to make it look like those tools were sanitized when they were not! And just for the cherry on top, he put them at the pedicure station next to mine, took the next customer there, and took those tools out and used them on her. I cant even imagine how many feet those tools have touched without being properly sanitized. I gave them another chance but clearly the owner just worked hard to cover up the issues rather than addressing them. Its cheaper than other places but just not worth it. I'd rather pay the $5 more and get a quality pedicure but thats just because I feel strongly about proper sanitization. UPDATE: I feel the service has gotten worse and worse since my first visit and today will officially be my last visit. I went to get a regular pedicure and my nail technician pulled out this tin box (in the picture) with her seemingly unsanitized tools. I was very disappointed but I still got my last pedicure there since Im not one to cause a scene. Of course there is not guarantee that they did not sanitize their tools but they didnt look clean to me and thats enough to make me steer clear next time. Additionally, my nails were crooked last time and the man who did my nails was very rough so it was more unpleasant than relaxing. Overall, i think I've reached my last straw with this establishment. Its such a shame because I thought this was a hidden gem at first. ******************************************** FIRST REVIEW (used to be a 5 star to me): I am so glad I found this gem! This place is very clean and tidy which is a big thing for me. They also take walk-ins which is great for nail emergencies. I came in and was greeted immediately. They asked what I needed and after I picked out a color for my pedicure, I was seated to soak my feet immediately. The nail technician did not come around until maybe 15 minutes after that, but I was a walk-in and all their techs were occupied at the time so I don't think it was too bad. I only got a basic pedicure, but this was probably one of the most intricate basic pedicures I've received. They did the normal pedicure procedures and also gave me an exfoliating scrub and a lotion massage. My legs and feet are baby soft right now. Not only that, but I payed special attention to how to treated my pinky toe since I stubbed it recently and the nail was a bit of a mess, but they were so gentle and my nails still turned out fantastic. I admittedly did not expect much as I was walking from the parking lot, but the ambiance inside is splendid. Very relaxing and in inviting. I will definitely be coming by again! read more

I was searching for a new nail salon to get a pedicure and I chose this place based on the Yelp reviews. I had a day off and decided to go on a Thursday mid morning. When I reached the salon, there was only one other customer there but I was greeted warmly and led to my chair. This was probably one of the best pedicures I've had (not counting the very fancy one I splurged on at Red Door Spa. I had a small cut on my toe that I didn't realize had happen before I arrived but my technician wasn't phased out even though I was highly embarrassed. She disinfected it and then wrapped a bandage and went on with the pedicure. During the entire procedure, I kept waiting and waiting for the upsell to happen, and it never did! I had actually decided in advance that I would have upgraded to a spa pedicure if asked but I was extremely pleased with the classic pedicure. The massage was very relaxing and I never felt rushed. I found everything clean and my technician and I had just the right amount of conversation. I never once felt uncomfortable during the entire procedure. I was offered a bottle of water as soon as I was seated. The price is very reasonable. To top it off it's been several weeks since my pedicure and the polish hasn't chipped at all! Not bad. I can tell it's under new management. Decor and everything is the same, only that services are more of "spa" like. I used to go here when old management was there. I got pedicure, full set acrylic and brows done for $80 +tip. They guy's are not so talkative. I wish I got a lady because they were always talking with their clients. Kinda wish I had that so that I wasn't so bored the 2 hours I was there. But overall it wasn't bad and I'd like to come back and give it another try. I am devastated about the unclean environment of the spa and the damage done to my natural nails, I have no idea what the name of my technician was but she seemed newer and she was extremely nail drill happy. This technician left my nails looking alright but it's just a cover to the painful mess she left underneath. I have litteral HOLES straight to the meat of my nail underneath these acrylic gel nails. On 4 of my nails she drilled all the way through my natural nails and cuticle to the point of bleeding and pain throughout the entire nail session. I asked many times for her to be gentle and i was told "this is the way it needs to be done" after asking why she drilled through my natural nails. The more I think about the damage the sadder I get because not only did I pay 55 not including tip but I believe they are very prone to infection now seeing how mid way through my appointment me and the friend i went with witnessed A mouse or rat or some kind of small rodent run across the floor and not only did we see it but so did the manager so this place is not only unclean and probably dangerous but also At least 1 of the technicians here will semi-permenently ruin your natural nails. I've come here several times and have always been happy.... but today, not so much. I waited over an hour to get a basic pedicure. I sat next to the front desk for over 20 minutes before anyone even greeted me and asked me what I wanted. They asked me if I could wait 10 more minutes and I agreed, but it ended up being 30! Then when they finally pulled me back to the chair, I sat for another 20 minutes with my feet in lukewarm water. The pedicure itself was ok- but felt a bit rushed and only lasted about 30 minutes (the woman next to me got about 50 for the same level of pedicure service). Not the best customer service today.... I had a wonderful experience here the other day. I wanted a pedicure and I was accommodated right away as a walk-in customer. While I eventually ended up using my own color from home (I've got a tried and true essie polish that I love), they have a good selection. I was escorted to my massage chair/pedicure station and asked if I wanted anything to drink. That's kind of rare from the places I frequent, so bonus points for Chantilly Nail Spa for that nice touch! As a little note, if you are planning on coming with a friend, the pedicure chairs are kind of far apart, so talking to each other would not be discreet. I personally prefer the added space between chairs because it feels more private. Tara did an excellent job with everything--clean up, massage, polish, etc. I was so relaxed at the end, my legs felt a little like jelly! She Constantly pinched my skin while filing without apologizing. Polishing is messy as hell. I still paid and tipped her. But I will not let Kathy do my nails ever again. read more

I was looking through yelp for a nail salon to stop by after work and stumbled across Chantilly Nail Spa. Upon reading good reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I'm really glad I did because....... this place is amazing! The place is very spacious and clean and the decor is very up to date. The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well. I highly recommend Andy, especially if you are getting gel/acrylic nails! He was very professional, friendly, and paid close attention to detail. I went in for acrylic fill in/broken acrylic nail and he did an excellent job making sure my nails ended up looking perfect. Also,extremely sanitary as well, which is very important in nail salons. Every time I get acrylic nails done in other nail salons, i felt rushed. I end up with uneven, bumpy acrylic nails and most don't really pay close attention to detail. Acrylic nails usually last 2 weeks until i need another fill, but its been about 2 weeks and a half and it still looks great! I was greeted promptly and had no wait for my gel manicure. The gentleman who did my gel manicure took his time and did a wonderful job. He even assisted me in picking out a good color for my accent nail. The gel manicure was $30 and that included removing my old gel. I would recommend this salon to anyone and only wish I lived closer cause I would make this my new salon! read more

I've been here a few times and I've been unimpressed most times. I come here more for convenience because it's close by but every time I've come in there's been a long wait at least 20 minutes. Today was no different the technician said it would be 15-20 minutes for a polish change for me and my friend. After about 25 minutes they begin to help my friend and tell me to wait. Then 40 minutes go by and I realize the same technician who's doing my friends toes is going to do mines. There's at least 5 other nail technicians and I understand they're all busy but every time I come(more than 5 times) it's like this they either should change their policy to not accept walk-ins or hire more staff. Besides that the work is pretty mediocre I've gotten acrylics, pedicures, and polish changes done here and I've never been impressed by the work which explains why I don't come regularly but this visit was the last straw and the reason why I feel compelled to leave a bad review. I won't be returning back and I would never recommend anyone to come here after getting great service at other salons nearby it's a shame this place hasn't stepped their game up for the prices they charge. Getting your nails done in northern Virginia is pricey. So finding an affordable and quality place can be daunting. However super grateful I found this place. The gel manicure is about 25? Dollars and I have found other places to be 30 dollars and above but that doesn't mean you will love it. I have come here many times and have been happy with what I paid and the attention I have received. I usually do just a gel and pedi so I'm not sure about nail art but they do have matte top coat for a $5 charge. Just an FYI and I would bring a cash tip! read more

As soon as I came in, I was attended. I've gone to other nail salons and I must say, this is my favorite. It's not noisy, rather calm and tranquil.
