Dragon decor

This restaurant is in the Cache Creek Casino. We have been wanting to try it out for a while but it was either too packed and didn't want to wait for a table or too late. The decor was nice and all the staff were friendly and I can tell they enjoy being there. We tried a few different dishes and they did not disappoint! Great flavor! Spicy and just the way we like. Pad Thai noodles Shrimp fried rice Spicy garlic beef These plates went great together.! We had the pad Thai noodles, mild flavor, and I'm glad we did because the spicy garlic beef was really spicy, but had all the flavor.

We eat a lot of Cantonese food and throughout all of our years of donating our paychecks to Cache Creek Casino we have never dined at Chang Shou. Why? Cantonese Snobbery and other good non-Chinese CCC restaurants to choose from like the Buffet, the Sports Bar, the Deli with its great Garlic Fries, and the fast food Mexican Restaurant with its decent street tacos. So we dined for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. They ask you if you want tea or water and we opted for the not-free, they don't tell you, Hot Tea. Ugh! Not a good start. We perused the fairly extensive menu and opted for: - Peking Porklets - Salted Fish and Minced Chicken Fried Rice - Sautéed Seafood with Asparagus - Dry Fried Beef Chow Fun All the dishes were tasty, hot, and decently priced. Enough food for four people. We also asked about the lobster and crab and both were priced over a Benjamin Franklin, next time or if we hit a jackpot... Overall, we'd go back. Service is decent.

One of my favorite restaurants at the Casino. Food is fresh, hot, and tasty. I saw hanging ducks at the Hanging Duck Noodle Station, and found that to be cool. I also got visual tips on how to crimp potsticker edges from a sous chef who was preparing them in bulk. Had a good dining experience but wasn't a fan of staff hovering at my booth during the meal. I guess it was their break or they just didn't have customers at the moment. Either way they should have a dedicated place they can gather/wait and customers should be able to dine without groups of staff congregating.

Whenever we are at cache creek, we always have dinner here at least once. The food is tasty and service is always extra friendly! Our go to order is the garlic egg plant, beef chow fun, kung pao chicken and Thai roasted chicken. Their spare ribs are also very tasty. Prices are reasonable since their portions are somewhat generous. They stopped accepting reservations and now it's first come first serve.

A PANCIT FOR ONCE I LIKED I arrived at Cache Creek Casino on Juneteenth via the bus from Union City. Before gambling I needed something to eat as I took the bus from Union City at 11:45 AM and arrived at Cache Creek Casino past 3:00 PM. I looked at certain restaurants at Cache Creek Casino. Not wasting too much of my time I ended up at Chang Shou. One item that stood out was beef pancit. As a Filipino I never liked pancit because the noodles tasted too dry. Since I came to Cache Creek Casino to gamble I decided "to roll the dice" and order beef pancit. For appetizers I ordered har gow. For the har gow there are two dipping sauces. One of sauces was slightly spicy. The har gow was a nice, light appetizer to start off. The har gow was tasty in either the spicy or regular dipping sauces. The next dish was the beef pancit. Because of not liking pancit I set low expectations. From the appearance the beef pancit didn't look dry because was a shine on the noodles. When took a bite of the beef pancit the noodles were moist as they were soaking in some gravy. I didn't have to relive of eating dry pancit at Chang Shou. Also having beef in the pancit was different than I'm used to because I've eaten only eaten pancit with chicken. As a Filipino who hates pancit the beef pancit at Chang Shou is the best pancit I've ever eaten. I don't know when I will go to Chang Shou anytime soon. From my experience of eating the beef pancit I'm excited to taste other items from Chang Shou.

Reservations are no longer taken, it's walk in only. The food here is so good and service is fast! The Chicago fried rice and the fried shrimp with skin is my favorite!

So tasty. Best Chinese food I've had during my 20+ years in NorCal. My husband and I make it a date night once a month. So good. Highly recommend.

Had lunch here with 3 ladies and they knew what they wanted. Food had great flavor and reasonably priced, considering its inside a casino. Staff were friendly and attentive. Place was clean, now I know why the ladies wanted to have lunch here.

I didn't realize that there was a good Chinese restaurant right inside Cache Creek Casino. We had a 6 pm sit-down reservation and we were called right away at that time. Our server, Saule, walked us to our table and took our orders. We were a party of 4 and decided to order a la carte so that everybody could share. There are so many choices but we ended up getting the following: Spring Roll, Pot Stickers, Shrimp Fried Rice, Thai Salad1 Beef, Pancit, Thai Crispy Chicken, SN Pale Ale, Tea Green and Eggplant. Since we ordered 8 items, we thought that we had to wait for the food to come to our table. However, within 10 mins, some of our menu started coming. Within another 10 mins, all items are served. Their service was fast. Saule had been a good server and she made sure that our orders were correct. The eggplant was delicious and not soggy. It's firm and cut at the right size. The pot sticker and spring roll are perfect and everybody had a portion to enjoy. The Thai salad is highly recommendable. The Thai crispy chicken is crispy outside and tender inside. We thought we would take home some leftovers but all of them were so good that we finished them. If you're looking for Chinese food at the casino, this place is a winner both in quality and value.

Authentic chinese dish 5 star. Everything is delicious and served fresh. Roast duck- juicy, aromatic, tender to perfection. Buddha's delight- is a mixed vegetable dish with tofu, and it's very tasty and delicious. Congee- a thousand century eggs is one of my favorite here. Must try, highly recommend. Fresh vegetable spring roll. Too much rice noodle inside the roll but it's good. Service is fast, wont take long to wait. Friendly staff. We made a reservation thru Open table.

This teriyaki steak with vegetables excellent it left a good taste in my mouth can't wait to go back I just went there yesterday

This is the go-to restaurant at Cache Creek and all dishes seem to taste great! Even better if you get food comps!

How do I make a reservation for this restaurant?

I don't know if they take advance reservations. We've always had to walk in. You could always call Cache Creek for help. +1 (530) 796-3118

Great meal last night but wondering if I'm having a mild reaction to MSG today. Know if Chang Shou uses msg in Bao and chow fun?

They do not! It's stated in their menu they don't use MSG

Surprisingly, this place is extremely good! He's a big gambler so we never had to pay and had ALOT of comps to use. The last time we came and check it out..he had like $1200 worth of comps...that must mean he spent ALOT of money gambling. Anyways..we spent like $900 buying random stuff at the gift shop..like some tshirt, 2 oakley sunglasses, and like a Dooney n Bourke bag for my grandma since it's Mother's day . So afterwards, we had like $200 left and wanted to spend it all since we aren't planning to come back anytime soon, so we decided to go get some food here. We ordered $150 worth of food and they were all soooooo good! My faves here are: Thai seafood plate: Lots of seafood, including clams, in like a sweet n sour sauce Mongolian Beef: Definitely the best Mongolian beef I've ever had..the beef is really soft and they make it better than all the other chinese restaurant I got it from Steamed Lobster in XO Sauce: This plate was just mediocore..really nothing special about it Hong Kong Chow Mein: Kinda bland to me Beef Chow fun: I would not recommend this because it was really bland..not worth it Fish Porridge: Extremely good...totally recommend this on a cold day..you'll love it! BBQ duck with the steamed buns: This was surprisingly good..I didn't think a casino in the middle of nowhere would have good BBQ duck. We also ordered their fried rice, I can't remember what it's called but it was just okay...nothing really great. Overall, this is a good place to eat if you ever go to Cache Creel..but it's pretty pricy. Each plates ranges like 14+, so play a few hands and make some money first before you go in here to eat.

The place was well decorated and clean. Wait time was quick, which we ate after 10pm. Our waiter was quick and helpful. Helped me decide on appetizers, which were the pot stickers and those were pretty filling =) The mainland eggplants were extremely good!! Def recommend. The pad thai was ok. Not as sweet as usually. We ordered it spicy so that could be why it was pretty tangy. The portions were a good size. And our waiter always made sure our drinks were full.
