Always a good time at C2! I don't always make the trek here, but when I do, I make sure to visit C2. The service is superb. The staff is courteous and friendly, and they check on you during almost every course to get feedback. The dim lighting, personal lamp on every table, and white tablecloths give it the classic steakhouse feel. They used to have these cool light-up menus that illuminated as you opened them. I'm a little sad they don't have those anymore due to vendor issues--it was a small, thoughtful detail that really made a mark on me. The food is great. The steak is always perfectly seasoned--not overly salty or overdone, just right to the point where I don't need to add anything else. Even the roasted bulb of garlic that comes with the steak is perfect for adding extra flavor if I want to. The sides are what you'd expect from a classic steakhouse. One thing that sets them apart, though, is the bread. They always have a great variety, plus a huge helping of butter on the side. If this place were closer to home, I'd probably be here every other month. So it's probably a good thing that it's far away. read more

Walking through the doors, we were greeted with a smile and walked to our table immediately. The service started off great with the hostess, to the server assistant, to our main server, Elias. We were asked if we celebrating anything special and we told them we were in fact celebrating my graduation. The cocktail I ordered came promptly a side our apps. As we enjoyed our first course, we were entertained by the piano music in the background. The table service was spot on, as if they were watching our every move and no dish was left on the table that was not being consumed. The entrees were well sized and met or should I say, exceeded our expectations. The filet was so tender I could cut it with my fork. 061625 My mom made reservations for a combined belated Father's Day and birthday celebration for my dad (via Sebastian). Upon walking in, Sebastian told us they were setting up our table and that it would be a few minutes. We told him, "Great!" He came back momentarily, and my brother asked if there would be space for a stroller for our toddler. Sebastian was giddy as he replied, "There's plenty of space." We didn't think much of it--until we followed him directly into a room... that's right, a private room. We were all like, "What...?" It felt like a conference room because it had a TV mounted on the wall and a door with windows. Honestly, it was very surprising. My family and I were all in awe and a bit shocked. The table was presented professionally, and it looked great. Once we got over the surprise, we opened the menu (be warned--it's a super bright LCD screen. From a UX/UI perspective, it would be nice if there were a way to make the brightness less torturous on the eyes). That was honestly my only con for the night. My mom and sister-in-law shared the oysters, and--I'm sorry--but they had foie gras, so I had to order it... and it was DELICIOUS. The orange and the way it was put together--so good. It wasn't very liver-y in taste; the combination of the entire dish with our wine was superb. Our servers (Taylor, assisted by Zach?) were phenomenal. They made the whole experience wonderful, and we felt very well taken care of. I wanted to get a bottle of their Tenuta Il Poggione "Brunello di Montalcino," but they had just sold it to someone else (broken-hearted by that!), so we opted for the Silver Oak "Alexander Valley" 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon instead. I don't remember what the rest of the family ordered, but I had the Delmonico (medium) with truffle butter and asparagus on the side. My steak was cooked perfectly. It was juicy, well-seasoned, and paired wonderfully with the wine. I, of course, didn't finish it (because it was gigantic), so it made for great leftovers! My dad enjoyed his shrimp and crab scampi (he didn't even offer to share!). The restaurant also offered jasmine rice as a side, so my brother ordered that with his steak. We didn't have room for dessert, but they gave my dad a birthday cake, and it was delicious. Overall--I really wasn't expecting much from a restaurant in a casino in the middle of kinda nowhere, but oh boy... was I proven wrong! Their pricing for wagyu meats is definitely cheaper than at Niku or anywhere in SF. I told my folks I'd be interested in trying their wagyu selection next time. Impressed. Honestly didn't expect such a solid dining experience from a casino steakhouse but the food and service genuinely surprised us, in a good way! My husband and I shared the 24oz Prime Angus Ribeye, cooked perfectly medium rare. It was juicy, tender and seasoned well. We paired it with a side of chimichurri, which was just okay and didn't add much to the steak. The day boat scallops were also beautifully cooked, though I found the pineapple emulsion a bit too sweet for my taste. For sides, the cheesy risotto was a standout. It was creamy, rich, and full of flavor. The roasted asparagus was a great complement to the steak, nicely seasoned with a good bite. Appetizer-wise, the Caesar salad with real anchovies was a hit. I personally loved how heavily dressed it was. The soup of the day, a seafood chowder, was a bit of a miss. I would've given it a five as everyone else loved their dinners, but I didn't love my cheese tray. The jicama was a little too spicy for me and the pineapple was too spicy too. I loved one of the cheeses, but didn't like the other two so maybe it's just me. The crackers were good as were the pecans and it was beautifully presented. The service was impeccable and our waiter was informative and fun. If you go there have the steak, it's a steakhouse. I'm sure the other appetizers were far superior than the one I chose. Tried this spot yesterday with my mom & boyfriend! We all enjoyed our meals, I got the surf & turf while my mom & boyfriend got steaks. We also tried their bone marrow appetizer, tomato soup, lobster bisque, and trio of sides. I could happily say we left very content. But I think what really made our visit great was our server Elias. He was very attentive and made sure we were pleased with our meals, even went out his way to let my mom try a drink or two to make sure she was happy with her beverage. I will definitely come back, but I'd recommend others to make sure to get reservations as this place packs up quick. Didn't know what I was expecting dining at a cache creek casino restaurant, but it sure exceeded my expectations. We had ordered so many appetizers including the foie gras, caviar, seafood tower, and calamari, that but the time we got our steak we were underwhelmed. Not because the steaks weren't good, we had just ate so much that our stomachs were already full. This was my first time dining here so it was nice to have tried all those appetizers. Steak, as you can imagine, is pretty much the same throughout all steakhouses (in my opinion). So we took our leftovers to go. The service was great. Our glasses were never empty. The waiter was very patient with us throughout the whole night, and made good suggestions like when it came to dessert. Unfortunately we had a nut allergy in our party so I didn't get to try the toffee stout pudding. (I think the foie gras has nuts for garnish also). But it was cool to see the sphere chocolate and crème brûlée on fire. C2 was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday and a wedding anniversary. The aesthetic was nice. I stayed at the hotel and noticed they had a steakhouse right downstairs. I came during the week. When I was walking down they were about to open and the gentleman allowed me to make a reservation. He was really nice. There is no dress code but you can tell this is fine dining. We arrived early to our reservation and was seated immediately. The decor is really nice the restaurant is dim and moody. Our servers Veridiana and Eric were amazing. To start they give you bread about 4 different type and let me tell you I will come for the bread alone. You also can ask for more. Im not drinking at the moment but would like to feel as though I am. I ordered a virgin mojito it was so good refreshing and the glassware was really cute. Food: caesar salad- was good but for $12 a small portion cajun salmon -was good but i subbed the grits for rice and the rice was a bit hard crab and shrimp scampi- was great just needed red pepper flakes for a little more flavor Small but over the top things I enjoyed, the dinnerware was really nice. The menus were digital I loved that. At the end they gave us a orange shortbread cookie. When my salad came I handed over my menu. When my steak came I gave over my dirty dishes. Wasn't offered desert or anything just gave me my tab. I sat there for ever and a day. This restaurant is on the list for return. We did have a short wait of about 40 minutes but this was New Year's 2025. The staff was very friendly. The bathroom was very clean. I do have some pictures included. The restaurant is beautiful inside from the decor to wine tower! Our server Viri was amazing along with Zach! These two 10 out of 10! Both of them were very attentive! We also were impressed to have another person come to our table and make sure everything was okay. I assume it was a leader or manager. We were served a variety of bread that was soooo delicious served with butter! I ordered the whole Lobster and my favorite fried calamari. Oh how the mighty have fallen. To be clear, C2 restaurant has always been an expensive dining experience and for that reason my expectations are higher. In the past, I felt it exceeded my expectations for a restaurant in this price range - but for over a year now, it has not. I am just catching up on my reviews and this is based on four dining experiences beginning in January 2025 until recently. Two times eating at the bar and the last two times in the main dining room. This alone should tell you something considering the fact that we used to eat at C2 at least 12-times a year. I would rate the food now at a 3 and the service at a 1 (hence the 2-star average). There has been a large turn-over of staff at the front half (FOH) of C2 restaurant including manager, servers and bartender (and I assume in the kitchen as well) and these turn-overs appear to be directly related to a significant decline in the over-all dining experience. The food has declined from exceptional to good - but when you factor in the price increases, it is no longer a destination that I would recommend. Unfortunately, the Casino has a captive audience with few other good choices of where to eat. The service is way off the previous mark with the staff giving off the vibe that they would rather be somewhere else. We used to know many of their names and some are still there, but they appear to be just going through the motions - not happy, not attentive, and not what you would expect from a high-end dining experience. Previously, the bar was our favorite place to eat and mingle with other regulars, but because the current bartenders are so bad, we avoid it like the plague. My girlfriend has a special birthday coming up and we will be staying at the Casino, but for her birthday dinner we will be trying a restaurant in Winters - I recommend you do the same. read more

As part of our short get-away to Cache Creek, the hunny & I had a wonderful dining experience at C2 Steakhouse. We dined here several years ago before their hotel expansion, and if I remember correctly, it was just as good back then. We started out with fresh oysters for appetizers, then dove right in to our main courses. I had the surf & turf, while the hunny had the grilled rack of lamb & truffle mac & cheese. Everything was fabulous & cooked to perfection. We ordered a bottle of champagne, but our server admitted she was a little inexperienced & intimidated to open the bottle. After we showed her the easiest way to open it without fear of an explosion, she was very impressed and grateful.. I won't mention her name, but she was stellar in making our dining experience very enjoyable. The only difference I can recall between our first experience several years ago to more recent is the ambiance. The first time, it felt as if we were dining in a more open environment. This time was much more intimate. If you're lucky enough to hit a small jackpot in the casino, consider trying C2 Steakhouse before you put your winnings back in the machine. At least you'll get a fine dining experience out of it. read more

Servers was great at the bar but the fact that we paid $155 for two crab legs cut in half is an absolute rip off. I knew I should've asked what the market price was. So you're telling me $75 for each crab leg and they weren't even that big. Anytime it says market price you better ask what it is or you will definitely get ripped off by this place. The chicken breast is incredibly moist and the flavor of the sauce was amazing. It came with their house made handkerchief pasta and topped with ricotta. The strawberry rhubarb dessert is delicious. The crumbles on top are so good and their vanilla ice cream is the best. We also had the trio of sides. They've rotated out the Brussel sprouts for their spring menu and now have the spinach. All of them were very good. My husband got the 10oz filet cooked medium rare and he said it was cooked perfect. Their bread basket no longer has the olive bread which was our absolute favorite. It was disappointing that they got rid of that. Hopefully they'll bring it back. We asked the manager on duty when she stopped by our table and she said it was due to supply issues. The shrimp and crab salad is always good. It's very filling and their dressing is the best. I tried the wedge salad again and it was even better than last time. The service was on point and our server was very helpful and friendly. She even took the time to show us one of the rooms that can be reserved for parties when we told her that we're coming back in June for a birthday. Everything in the restaurant is clean and nice. We can't wait to go back and we're really hoping they have the olive bread again. The fruit bread is our least favorite. read more

Unfortunately meatballs were spicy, so couldn't eat. Couldn't come up with replacement, so just sides. Cake for dessert, was surprised charged for it. Never been charged before for Birthday. I can't believe this was my first time trying out Cache Creek's steakhouse after coming here for years. We came here on a Sunday and I made reservations for the evening with my parents for a party of 3 and early birthday dinner for myself. I was pleased with the ambiance and service, our server was great, had great interpersonal skills and my parents enjoyed all of his recommendations and conversation. We started off with a salad, and we decided to share a large cut of steak, forgive me because I forgot which special we got del monico or something? My dad chose it and we got a 10 oz piece to share along with sides. We could have gotten the smaller portion sides. We loved the bread plate, we got Mac and cheese, and some greens, and my parents wanted some rice. I like my steak medium rare but my parents like it well done so we got it well. It was a huge portion and my parents don't eat much. I got a cocktail and we ended it with crème brûlée dessert. I will definitely come back and even if you're in a hurry, you can just eat and order at the bar or if you're staying over with kids you can order take out. I ordered the porterhouse steak which was perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly the way I want it medium well. Another dish that is my favorite is the Alaskan crab and prawns pasta. The assortment of breads and butter was warm. The flourless chocolate cake was moist and velvety smooth chocolate, just the right amount of sweetness. The C2 Margarita was really refreshing.
