    Chicken Parm

Wow what a great place for tapas. Came right when they opened and the line was very long. Though there were a ton of people ordering we order so much food and the food came out within 20 minutes. It was amazing. Service was great even though they were slammed. I had gotten the chicken parm and it was great. Don't forget to try their garlic dip with bread. Amazing! The vibe of the restaurant was great and reminds me of a Spanish/Italian dining. Food was cheap for the amount of items purchased. Though pricing is not listed on the menu. Great place to go with friends or family.

This unassuming little casual tapas place is worth a visit if in Winters. You order at the counter and keep your tab open until you are done. We enjoyed the variation of dishes. A small indoors dining room and bar seats for 4 is in a modern air conditioned room. There are some tables outdoors.

We had an amazing experience! The place was busy and so we sat at the counter, but our food and drink were out very quickly. The staff was exceptionally kind and friendly. The quality of the food was exceptional and we were impressed by the prices. It is a bit loud inside, but that was part of the charm. Absolutely check them out if you're in the area!

This is like fine dining in a fast food type setting, you. Order or get a table number then order but the food is amazing, sort of a Spanish and European menu, put your number they give in your table and then they bring the food to you. Wine & beer beverages, plus their home made Sangria. My favorite dish was the Chile Relleno which pairs well with the Sangria.

We ordered Ficelle to-go during our stay in downtown Winters and overall we thought the food was pretty good. From the items we ordered, I'll say that Ficelle is truly a fusion of flavors across Italian, Mexican, and Asian cuisines. Beef skewers: Korean inspired flavors since it had a more sweet flavor profile. Meat was tender and had great smoky flavor from the char. I liked how bite-sized the skewers were. Relleno: Mole sauce was good, but this dish was too spicy for my tastes. The cherry tomato salsa provided was great for cutting the spiciness and added a refreshing note to the dish. Eggplant stacks: Eggplant was breaded, so it provided a nice crunch on the outside. The dish had the flavor profile of a caprese salad with the balsamic vinegar, tomato, and cheese. This was pretty good. Canelone: We really enjoyed this. It was like a crab and shrimp crepe sitting in a savory creamy sauce. Crostini: Can't say anything bad about a cheesy and garlicky bread! Take-out was ready surprisingly fast (15ish minutes), but they also have a cute patio for outdoor dining if you choose that option.

I came because, fortunately, I had a $12.00 birthday reward (powered by Toast Local) that was applied to the bill at the end. On the menu, I noticed that there was a lunch special called "Menu Del Almuerzo" that included a soup, an entree, and a dessert, priced at $24.00. For the entree, I requested the seafood stew. I must say that the soup and entree were both deliciously satisfying. The scoop of vanilla ice cream served at the end was a nice ending to the meal. As far as a beverage, I got the Nitty's Cider. It was a decent hard cider drink to enjoy. The server during my dining experience was Yolanda. I was appreciative of her hospitality, as it was beyond amiable and attentive. The service totally enhanced my visit. The restaurant had a lovely, inviting ambiance. It was a colorful, vibrant atmosphere met with amazing Spanish music playing. Overall, the entire experience was extremely positive from the food to the service. I highly recommend stopping by.

Well let's just say it wasn't two minutes. Many more minutes one of our dishes arrives. One of us tells him the service has been very slow and he walks off in a huff. Our other three dishes arrive in a couple more minutes. Only reason for two stars is the food is tasty. Super disappointed the Octopus and scallop dishes are super small. Two scallops and the skimpy octopus pieces were very disappointing for the prices. But they were good flavors. We can appreciate things happen they were busy when we arrived but the restaurant cleared out and it is obvious our meals were forgotten. To make zero attempt to say anything or apologize or offer anything is not professional. It appeared to us the waiter just does not care. He sent another very nice waitress to check on us after we were done and he disappeared once again. Will not ever be back!

There were many four-top tables and long tables for larger groups. Our server was friendly and attentive. I immediately gravitated toward the tapas menu. We tried the Patatas Bravas, Wagyu Empanadas, and an off-the-menu Croqueta made with squid ink. The picturesque dishes tasted just as good as they looked. My favorite was the Patatas Bravas. We also ordered the Telerific Sangria and Barceloneta Sangria which paired perfectly with all the food. We opted for the Paella Mixta which had pork belly, chicken, shrimp, and peppers. Even though the paellas are made to order, the wait wasn't long at all. Munching on the tapas definitely help the time pass. Our meal ended with the Trio Selection dessert. I'm a sucker for churros and these were filled with chocolate. So good! I also really enjoyed the Torrija which is paired with ice cream. I can't wait to come back!

Got their lunch special which is a decent deal that includes either an app and main course for $28 or both of those plus a dessert for $34 Started with the tuna tacos and got the paella negra. I liked the tuna tacos which had raw ahi and avocado. I was disappointed with the amount of seafood on the paella however. There were only three tiny scallops the size of my pinky nail and the clams were grainy. I had to spit them out. There were also two tiny broccolini pieces. The shrimp and the flavor of the rice was good though. My friend got the burrata and prime Wellington which was an extra $6. The burrata was filling and had tons of cheese with it. We couldn't finish it. The prime Wellington was kinda small but had a beautiful presentation. The gravy on the side was greasy. The Nutella filled churros were delicious! It was served with a caramel sauce, made fresh, was warm and we loved it. It wasn't that busy and service was great. We also like the modern decor.

Yelp Elite Review: A Taste of Home…read more I'm Puerto Rican and Italian, and I grew up with a Puerto Rican grandmother who owned three Puerto Rican restaurants called the Latin Barn back in the day. So when I tell you I know and LOVE Puerto Rican food, I'm not just talking--I've got childhood credentials! I came here with my oldest son and his wife for her birthday, and then something unexpected happened: I started crying. The flavors, aromas, and atmosphere brought a flood of childhood memories rushing back. Food can do that--and this place absolutely nailed it. I ordered the Puerto Rican Special with shredded pork, arroz con gandules, sweet plantains, and beans. AWESOME! I also tried the empanadas with both chicken and beef, and they were incredible. And portions? Let's just say they apparently believed we were feeding the entire extended family. We were given so much food that I had leftovers for the next day--which meant I got to have an encore performance! The Caribbean atmosphere combined with Ashland's unique vibe creates a warm, welcoming place where people actually seem to enjoy being there. The staff was friendly, helpful, and loved to laugh--which is definitely a Puerto Rican thing to do...right after making sure you have nice shoes. The dessert selection was fantastic, too. From the beef stew to the pork, the rice, the plantains, and everything in between, you are going to fall in love with this food. This is officially my new favorite place. And in the immortal words of General MacArthur: "I SHALL RETURN!" Do yourself a favor and put this place on your must-visit list. Come hungry, bring your appetite, and prepare to leave saying, "I'm Puerto Rican!" We had a large party and I think the service could have possibly been more attentive, but that's always a hit or miss for a large group. Our waiter was super kind and despite so many of us getting there at different times the spacing between entrees was excellent. I had a pina colada coquito fusion cocktail and it was delicious. My friend tried their take on the espresso martini and it was also balanced really nicely. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and it had a good selection! Honorable mention is the patio. I didn't even know they had a patio?? Such colorful outdoor decor paired with plants made me feel like I could spend hours with my friends here. I'd easily see myself going there alone for lunch someday just to relax outside, especially during the summer. Very decent amount of shade as well. Everyone really enjoyed their food and I got the paella again. This time it wasn't mushy rice and packed full of seafood, however the dish holding the food was very shallow and not an enormous portion. I'd think the portion would maybe be split between three people easily? But any large groups would need additional orders. The empanadas were tasty as well and I'm excited to try the different options next time I come. Worth checking out and an amazing food spot for summertime to enjoy outside. Also tip for parking - it isn't too bad if you just go a block further down Broadway heading east. You'll find street spots easily!

The prices, though are a little bit higher than I expected . For instance, there was an heirloom tomato salad on the menu for $24. Once you throw in tax and tip, you're looking at over $10 for a half glass of wine. Walking out, I was talking to one of the neighbors here and asked if he had been. He said that it seemed a bit pricey for him and that he'd rather have a glass at home. I did see the table next to us order a carrot dish that looked quite interesting. I think this place would be great for a date night rather than a casual night out for instance or if you're just tired of sitting at home solo drinking lol.
