Craving tapas in Napa, I found La Taberna on Yelp. Food are exceptional, even with no liquor license, it's still worthy!

I love a date night with tapas because let's be real, I want to try everything on the table! La Taberna is such a fun spot along Main St.! Aesthetic - 9/10 Quaint, unassuming, but perfectly cozy with a view of the river and in perfect walking distance to the rest of downtown. Staff - 10/10 We loved our waitress! She really helped guide our choices throughout our meal and had great knowledge of the menu! Our Order: - Seasonal cocktails (10/10) - Light and refreshing and even better, low ABV! - Tetilla empanada (10/10... maybe a 15/10) - I would eat this everyday, forever! Seriously, don't think about it, just order it. - Croqueta del dia (10/10) - Delicious and leaves you craving more. - Seleccion de Queso (10/10) - I LOVE a good cheese board and their selections were *chef's kiss*. - Patatas Bravas (7/10) - Sadly, these were the least exciting part of our meal. They were pretty dry and lackluster. I'd trade these out for something else to try. - Crispy Pork Belly (10/10) - I definitely could've crushed more of these! Perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. - Beef Cheek Empanada (8/10) - The empanada dough was so beautifully light and airy but the meat was too chopped for my liking, it felt almost like ground beef. - Tortilla (omelette) (8/10) - Flavorful, just not my favorite dish of the night. If you've made it this far then you know, you should try this place! It has so many delicious options for all palates!

OMG! Tapas was so good!! That Ms is he reason we drove here. Everything was so good! Nathalia is so attentive, very friendly. She suggested what were going to have for next order. Hooray!! For Nathalia! You are the best best from the start recommending us the best wines. Thank you much!!! This place have a nice bar.

Incredible. What an amazing tapas restaurant on the strip. This place is dark and dim with great music, medium soft voice levels, quick service and freshly made dishes from scratch. We ordered a lot here which is the only way to do it at a Tapas joint. We started off with sardine platter with crunchy toast and peppers. This starter was a great kick off. The tomato sauce and olives provided great taste with the Portuguese sardines. The flounder ceviche was fresh; chunky bits of flounder and cilantro lime sauce! The pig ears were crispy and had a nice spicy oil to it. The pork belly was sweet and savory; it was rich and had a nice glaze to it for texture. The oxtail empanada was just ok but the sweet cheesy-honey empanada was definitely the winner! I looove this item so much I can order 3 orders just for myself. I want it again! Their cocktail selection is unique but you might want to go for something strong and more of a tequila based cocktail. I love this spot and is such a huge hit! It's definitely a must try when going to Napa. We will be back for sure!

Came by here while waiting to grab dinner at Zuzu's (La Taberna's sister store). Zuzu's gives you a poker card to lay out on your table so they can come find you once your table is ready. Really nice :) The bartenders here are friendly and attentive. Food comes out relatively quickly. The menu has many interesting dishes -- I wanted to also try the lamb paté, but guess that'll be next to try when I'm back in the area. Saison Du Pont || $13 Smooth and lightly hoppy at the end. Cheese and Honey Empanadas || $8 Deliciously light and fluffy dough with an ooey gooey cheese center. Definitely worth trying!

This was a nice resto recommended by a friend, great service, very interesting menu and so much to choose from! Very good food, we shared all the orders - empanadas, bocadillos, lamb tartare, patatas, pig ears, and dessert! The facility is very clean which is very much appreciated. Extensive drinks menu, however, the cocktails could be better. I liked my drink which has tequila and citrus but the sherry cobbler didn't set the bar high for us. Great experience here and would definitely recommend.

The food is very good. We had the special sea bass, savory cheesecake, pig ears, empanadas, jamon, basque cake. We are very happy with all of them. The taste of these tapas surprises us and is very pleasant. We will definitely come again.

People never post bathroom photos but it was very calming and pretty!

I wanted to love it since there are small plates for someone who likes to dine solo... Not my favorite, I'm sad to say. The food was all very oily (even the ones that weren't fried) and the bread was so rock hard I couldn't eat most of it. I tried maybe 5 dishes/bites and the tortilla/omelet is the only thing I'd get again so, realistically, I likely wouldn't go back.

Excellent on every level. The staff are delightful, the food is interesting and delicious. The wine selections are excellent. We love this place for a full meal or for some tapas before going to hear a performance at the Blue Note just down the street. Vale!!!

Ahhh, I LOVE this place!!! If you have never checked this place out, well, you MUST! The place has a casual yet relaxing vibe. I have tried other placed that served tapas style dishes and this is my top #1 spot. This place is closest to the real deal. They got great drink and food selection that changes. You may have a dish and be back and they have something else. Don't be afraid to try ALL of their dishes. You won't be disappointed. This time we ordered: Patatas Bravas - crunchy on the outside and tender and hot in the inside with a side of their mayo/paprika sauce Pan Con Tomate (Bread with tomato) - Good to eat with the rest of your tapas Squid ala plantxa- the best and fresh. Their flavors just merry well together. Delectable! Spring Mussels- Fresh mussels and great tasting including the broth. Perfect match to dip the grilled bread served with it. Crispy pig ears- Oh, this one...crunchy, flavorful with a hint of like balsamic type flavors. Very good! Idiazabal Flan- OMG, you must order this one! I always get an extra one to go. It's flavors is not like your typical flan where is jiggles or custard type. But, it has a texture more of like a cream cheese but richer and a cross in flavors of a cream cheese and flan blended together with real vanilla beans. The best way to end your meal! Our service with Dominica is the best! She is very friendly. This place makes me feel like family and I like that feeling and appreciation every time we come here. This is always my favorite spot to relax and enjoy some great tapas, drinks and friendly service. Yes we can

As soon as we approached the venue, there was a long line of people waiting to get inside. We arrived a bit later (around 8pm), and the crowd had already started to fill the venue. Mind you, it's a decent sized venue but not a massive space -- enough to accommodate at minimum 100 and likely max of 200 while still staying within code. There were several people coming in and out of the door, where the GM and bouncer for the night , appeared extremely stressed due to the amount of people in line and inside. A woman, who happened to be the wife of the DJ, stepped out to make a phone call and when she attempted to get back inside, proceeded to get yelled at by the bouncer saying she needed to go to the back of the line and wait like everyone else. The woman attempted to tell the bouncer her husband, who was the guest DJ for the night and is a historical, world renowned DJ (again using big names to draw crowds, and appropriating vinyl culture, but not respecting the very people in attendance), needed to tell him she'd be outside and would sit in the car. The GM started to yell and disrespect the DJs wife, and she ended up staying outside. Apparently this GM and venue are not used to larger crowds, and she essentially cracked under pressure. She went on to tell us the capacity was 67, and that they "were already at 200", which is a lie because there was a ton of space between people inside the venue (we have photos to prove it). She kept yelling and pushing people back. Girlfriend, this was not a Vegas club night. This crowd is 40+ (age) crowd, so it's not like people were out of control and acting debaucherous -- everyone was respecting the rules. If you couldn't handle the crowd, which btw you agreed prior to the 80-100 people expected for the party, then why was it such a hassle for your venue to handle the capacity. You knew a larger crowd was expected that night, it's your responsibility as a business owner to adequately staff the bar, door, etc. Yes; we needed to respect the door and the rules -- and everyone did. I won't get into further detail, but a physical altercation took place after the woman tried to return a second time (to again get her husband and tell him what was going on given she was being harassed at the door), putting hands on her in the process. Just completely out of line. Overall, this venue wants to appropriate the music and DJ culture, yet when the actual music and DJ community show up, there is no respect. Let alone for loyal patrons who have frequented your business and brought tons of revenue to the bar that night (which btw was extremely slow). Don't fall for the dog and pony show here. Go somewhere else that touts respects for their patrons, and for all walks of life -- not just the pretentious kind.
