    Chicken Parm

Wow what a great place for tapas. Came right when they opened and the line was very long. Though there were a ton of people ordering we order so much food and the food came out within 20 minutes. It was amazing. Service was great even though they were slammed. I had gotten the chicken parm and it was great. Don't forget to try their garlic dip with bread. Amazing! The vibe of the restaurant was great and reminds me of a Spanish/Italian dining. Food was cheap for the amount of items purchased. Though pricing is not listed on the menu. Great place to go with friends or family.

This unassuming little casual tapas place is worth a visit if in Winters. You order at the counter and keep your tab open until you are done. We enjoyed the variation of dishes. A small indoors dining room and bar seats for 4 is in a modern air conditioned room. There are some tables outdoors.

We had an amazing experience! The place was busy and so we sat at the counter, but our food and drink were out very quickly. The staff was exceptionally kind and friendly. The quality of the food was exceptional and we were impressed by the prices. It is a bit loud inside, but that was part of the charm. Absolutely check them out if you're in the area!

This is like fine dining in a fast food type setting, you. Order or get a table number then order but the food is amazing, sort of a Spanish and European menu, put your number they give in your table and then they bring the food to you. Wine & beer beverages, plus their home made Sangria. My favorite dish was the Chile Relleno which pairs well with the Sangria.

We ordered Ficelle to-go during our stay in downtown Winters and overall we thought the food was pretty good. From the items we ordered, I'll say that Ficelle is truly a fusion of flavors across Italian, Mexican, and Asian cuisines. Beef skewers: Korean inspired flavors since it had a more sweet flavor profile. Meat was tender and had great smoky flavor from the char. I liked how bite-sized the skewers were. Relleno: Mole sauce was good, but this dish was too spicy for my tastes. The cherry tomato salsa provided was great for cutting the spiciness and added a refreshing note to the dish. Eggplant stacks: Eggplant was breaded, so it provided a nice crunch on the outside. The dish had the flavor profile of a caprese salad with the balsamic vinegar, tomato, and cheese. This was pretty good. Canelone: We really enjoyed this. It was like a crab and shrimp crepe sitting in a savory creamy sauce. Crostini: Can't say anything bad about a cheesy and garlicky bread! Take-out was ready surprisingly fast (15ish minutes), but they also have a cute patio for outdoor dining if you choose that option.

It was early, around 4:00 p.m., and there were only two people dining inside. They agreed and eventually placed two tables together indoors. My thought was, why was this not offered from the beginning, especially given the heat and how empty the restaurant was? The ambiance was great, but unfortunately, the food was not. I ordered a salad with chicken. The salad was very skimpy, with only two thin slices of apple, two small orange slices, very little feta, and mostly lettuce. The chicken portion was extremely small and was served separately on a plate rather than sliced and placed on the salad as ordered. The other dishes were also small and underwhelming. The burger and fries were nothing special, and the spaghetti was plain and lacked flavor. If you are looking for great ambiance, this may be a nice place to visit. But if you are looking for great food, you may want to consider other options. For a great burger, I would recommend Buckhorn instead. It costs less and is much better.

We decided that we were just going to order a variety of tapas and share them, which is exactly why I picked this restaurant. All in all, we ended up ordering the croquettes, the garlic shrimp, the empanadas of the day (which were potato and cheese), the patatas bravas, and a pork dish that I don't remember the name. We had different servers who attended to us and they're both friendly and looked cheerful. We got there towards the end of Happy Hour and was presented with their Happy Hour menu. The menu is small, easy to read and has almost everything we'd want for that time of day - including the drinks. The food is a 'hit' or 'miss'. Here's my review: Drinks: Both the Arnold Palmer and the Cadillac Margarita were good. My lemonade tea wasn't overly sweet and I could definitely taste the lemonade. The pitcher of Cadillac Margarita looks innocent but may give someone a slow and powerful buzz if you're not used to the drink. (4.75 of 5) Charcuterie: This a complete appetizer board. Overall, there were some hits and misses, however, we agreed this is a well thought out appetizer board. (4 of 5) Crispy Brussels Sprouts: This is the best dish here, featuring deeply caramelized, dark golden-brown edges and a nutty, earthy flavor. Their Crispy Brussels Sprouts is also the best we've had. The seasoning is on-point, allowing the texture to show off its crackling, crunchy bite on the outside, contrasted by a tender, melt-in-your-mouth interior. (5 of 5) Seasonal Tacos: "Oh WOW!" The explosion of spicy and tangy flavours balanced by contrasting textures makes this dish "pop". (4.75 of 5) Beet Salad: The colours were lovely, but this beet salad was over-salted. The vibrant dish featuring beets as the main ingredient, balances the earthy sweetness with contrasting textures and flavours. If this wasn't too salty, it would have been more refreshing. (3.75 of 5) Coconut Lime Bouillabaisse (halibut, jasmine rice, spinach, snap pea, pickled shiitake mushroom, coconut lime broth, basil oil): Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Bouillabaisse means seafood. The only seafood we noticed were chunks of halibut, which were delicious. This dish looks and tastes more like an elevated Thai soup dish that cost too much. (3.5 of 5) After walking in, we decided to sit outdoors because of the loud music that was playing. We're glad we did. The overhang on the veranda was well positioned with plants and flowers softening the cement walkway. The weather was pleasant - with a gentle breeze blowing down the corridor. Parking is easy if you arrive early enough. One last note: Back Door Bistro in Vacaville was featured on "Check, Please! Bay Area"
