Overall, this is our go-to choice of restaurant when we do visit Cache creek. We enjoy the seafood options that are available. We recently had our thanksgiving meal from here which worked in our favor. As to no meal prepping and no dish washing. The per person charge was $55 and a cap of 2 hour window to be a guest. This worked perfectly for the two of us. Nice. Meat options this time around with turkey, lamb ham and a couple Other options. The location will normally ensure To have the seafood bar, salad bar, Mexican food, then some soups and pastas, American food, meat bar and then a little bit of Asian food choices. Once seated there are assigned hostesses per section that assist you during your visit. The decor was very festive this time around for the holidays. There is not a restroom inside this location but you can get a stamp to leave to use the facilities and then return for your initial meal visit. I think the most popular bar of all would be the dessert bar, especially for the kids. Overall the location is set to accommodate a large amount of guests. During the holidays their times do change so be sure to look into before visiting. We have always had a good visit and we look forward to our next one. read more

The Harvest Dining Hall at Cache Creek Casino was a fun tradition to visit when it was a beautiful sunny day, and I felt like a scenic drive on the weekend. We would visit in the afternoon for a tasty brunch experience before trying our hand at gambling a bit. We are not high rollers - haha. It was just something fun and different to do a few times a year. Before the pandemic, the buffet was double the size and half the price. There was always a line, and you felt like the food quality was always worth the trip. I'm glad they brought back the buffet after the pandemic, but the issues they have now are not pandemic recovery related. Now, the buffet has far fewer options. The last two times we visited, the buffet was almost empty. The brunch, BBQ, and Asian sections are cut to 1/3 of the previous variety, and honestly, it's not worth visiting anymore. If the management just brought back half of the walled-down buffet selection, it would have been a much better experience, even if they had kept the same pricing. The still good dishes are the fried shrimp, the carving station, the salad bar, and the desserts. But that does not make it worth $27+ or the hour-long drive for us. There are closer casinos near us if that's all we were after. The buffet atmosphere is borderline depressing. And that's before we lost any money at the slots. read more

The highlights for me were in this order: prime rib station, they will sear the meat on the grill, NY steak, snow crab legs, ribs, easy peel shrimps, clam chowder soup, fried shrimps and ice cream. One of my friends saw a long time buffet waiter. He said the buffet actually re-opened two years ago. All this time, we thought it was closed. Service was excellent. I was really full already. Pretty decent buffet. Not many came back after the pandemic so this is a nice option to have. Just wish the casino wasn't so smokey, and I felt a little out of place bringing my kids. My eyes were definitely stinging the whole time. Lots of cuisines to choose from. Food was pretty fresh and the buffet was clean. I enjoyed the prime rib and stuffing and the cioppino with crab. I liked. the warm crab in the cioppino much better than the cold plain crab. The warm crab was easy to get out of the shell. Sauce was tasty and spicy. Had peach cobbler a la mode for dessert. Staff were very attentive and overall felt like it was okay value for the quality. We come to the buffet when the kids come for a stay at Cache Creek with us. Overall, everyone at the hotel and restaurants are so nice and friendly! All except one, who everytime we have encountered her, she is so aggressive, unwelcoming and rude when she interacts with us at the buffet - Julia, who we've seen a few times at the register there. This is probably the worst place to put someone who is rude because we instantly don't want to go in anymore. My neice, who is 9, asked why is she so mean. Please put people there who want to be there and make people feel welcomed. There have been other people at the register who have been so nice and pleasant. But everytime I see her, I'm reminded of how rude she is. It ruins the experience from the beginning. If the kids didn't want to go to the buffet so much, I would never go there again to avoid a negative encounter with her. Please place nicer people there. Otherwise, all the food and other servers who work there are wonderful and friendly. One person really ruins the experience. read more

It's great to see that they re-opened half of the buffet. It's almost the same setup as pre-pandemic but everything right of the turkey and ham station is still closed. Not sure if they intend on re-opening the other side. Price definitely went up, but this place is a closer option for me than going to other more expensive casino buffets in the Sacramento region. This review is for the buffet on Thanksgiving Day. No lobster included. The highlights were the prime rib and ribeye - both were great but my favorite was the ribeye. Ham was a bit salty and dry but very flavorful. The mashed potatoes were chunky, big pieces of potato wedged in there but tasted okay with the gravy. I loved the seasoning on the stuffing. I personally had a very satisfying meal even though the selection was limited. All drinks including soda were included since you pay at the desk before entering the buffet area. read more

We seem to arrive here when they've raised raised the price to $55.00 for her Ladyship and myself. That's a bit too much for what they offer. We happened to be here on Dad's day, big mistake. Received a piece of Un prime leather. It was so tough, it was absolutely inedible. The fried chicken just plain sucked. Not sure what the spices were, totally yuck, and tasted slightly burned. Roast turkey is good, with mash potatoes and gravy. Rolls are nice, with pats of butter usually, not always. The shrimp in the seafood area is my favorite. Crab legs are impossible to deal with if you don't have your own cracker for the shells. You'll pay extra for a beer or wine. Unbelievably, they were serving neither that evening. Kidding me!? On a holiday? Seriously!? Also, there was a large bowl of salad around the seafood area, but I'll damned, if I could get anyone to lead me to some dressing. Her Ladyship, tried the minute steak. Harvest Dining Buffet is definitely not Vegas Buffet, but it was palatable. Let me point out the good stuff: chips and pico de gallo, some of the seafood and Mexican station also not bad. Everything else was just ok. The crab legs run on the skinny side and somewhat overcooked. The It was our first time and prob won't return. About 40bucks/person. The server assigned to our table was nice and refilled our drinks a couple of times. I always hear good things about the Chinese food, maybe we can try there. I enjoyed the prime rib the most. They had turkey and ham. All were delicious. There was also seafood oysters and shrimp. Salads, fruits and desserts. They continue to charge $27 for dinner, and it's shocking how a place can do such a 180 in regards to value and quality. The Manager must feel so proud, to ruin something that was just right and turn it into S#it. We had $26 dollars in comps ready to use on a Sunday. We were expecting the buffet to be over $20 dollars since it was the weekend. But if you are a Cache Creek card holder you save $3 dollars a meal. The total comes up to $17 dollars. So get a card if you are out there to get 15% off the buffet. They call it the harvest buffet because the main theme is Thanksgiving. We came at 12:45 pm and they were serving breakfast till for another hour we were there. They split the buffet into sections and the buffet has a lot of variety. I will start from left to right as I can remember it 1. Cold Seafood (Shrimp, Mussel and Crayfish) 2. Salad bar (Not much selection) Reminds me of the one where you go to the pizza joint, but you can make your crab Louie. Lettuce look really old 3. Mexican 4. Breakfast 5. Thanksgiving section 6. Chinese 7. Italian 8. American 9. Fruits 10. Dessert (in the middle) Now what surprised me the most is how good the fast food Chinese food was and probably the best I have tasted. The Orange Chicken needs some work as it was soggy and not crispy like Panda Express. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was actually really good. They serve also rice porridge as well and the typical sweet and sour pork. The Mexican station, I fell in love with the chips and salsa. They had sour cream and guacamole as it was not the package kind and the ones where they made fresh. I had the birra and the meat was dry and some moist. They had enchiladas as well, but did not give them a try. I was a little disappointed in the seafood part as I wish they had more selection, but then the buffet was $17 dollars so could not complain, but it was old tasting though and need some sauce to it. The salad selection was small which they made more to choose from though. The breakfast station was good. You can create your own omelet and they make it for you. I wanted to try one, but I knew that once I had one I was done eating. They had the sausage, pancakes, wife loved them), bacon, eggs and the fried chicken. I have to say the fried chicken was awesome to have and had 2 pieces. Wanted to have more though as probably one of the best I had. I had some of the turkey and it was moist and the skin was good as well. They also serve stuffing and cranberry sauce as well. They had the American station which had the hamburger and hot dogs, but did not give these a shot though as I was full from sampling the other food. I did not have much of the Italian food The only thing I was really disappointed was the dessert though. I did like the rice pudding though, but the cakes were dry and tasted gross. The selection of ice cream was not good. They serve some pies and small dessert, but nothing really stood out. Customer service was good. We were so excited to discover that the buffet was open. My husband loves buffets!! We got there for the lunchtime meal. They had all of our favorites. We had salad, Mexican food (Chile verde, beans, chile rellenos were delicious). Turkey, mashed potatoes & crazy. Ham & breakfast items. Chinese food, Italian food, we tried it all and everything was fresh. The staff were checking periodically to make sure what need to just stay cold was cold and what needed to stay hot was hot. They brought out fresh food the whole time. The dessert bar was amazing. I love bread pudding and they had that peach cobbler, cherry pie, lemon bars, just about anything your heart desires and ice cream with all the toppings. Wouldn't recommend the Sat $27 lunch buffet. It's not worth it. Food was either overcooked, bland, or salty. I picked the lightest colored fried fish fillet, and even then, the fish was rubbery. The worst casino buffet by far and I have been to all the casino buffets in Northern CA. I wish I took pictures of how bad the food was. $40 to dine and the best thing about the buffet was the salad. The meat was so rock hard including the steak and chicken. All the dishes were barely palatable. I was excited to see the chile verde but the meat was also tough. The most disappointing thing was the dessert bar. The selection was a joke. Tiny morsels served. A few tarts, bread pudding, and basic chocolate, vanilla and strawberry icecream. No cakes at all!!!!!! They did have a sugar free chocolate cake and sugar free cheesecake but it was behind the counter in the glass display and u had to ask for it as if it was something special. I got talked into coming to this Indian Casino buffet, cause my friend wanted to give it a try. It's Easter Sunday, so we got there when it opened, otherwise the lines would be like forever. $32.00 a person for Easter, which is more than I normally pay for a buffet, unless it's one of those high end ones in Reno on holidays with all you can eat real King Crab legs. Some complain about the smoke ... people ... this is a friggin casino, of course there's smoke you might have to walk through! CA smoking laws don't apply in Indian nation land. Yes, it's a good sized buffet with American, Mexican and Asian foods, oh Italian if you call any pasta dish Italian. The quality of the buffet food was decent but sort of institutional. Fried chicken was good, the lamb for Easter was sort of over cooked and sort of dry. Salads were salads, no biggie and the desserts were normal casino buffet quality. I realize you can only give so much for a certain price level and make a profit, but I'll say this buffet wasn't really worth $32.00, maybe regular day prices it might be OK, but the lines are long. It was $80 for my 13 yr old daughter and I,no crab the peel & eat shrimp are almost the size of salad shrimp and the raw oysters were room temp and dry. The prime rib was always good and still is as long as I get it med rare. I was really surprised by how good the food in the Mexican station was,Chile Colorado,Chile Verde,and Chile relleno. In my opinion not worth $40 for dinner also since half the buffet is closed off,I'll go back for lunch and see if it's worth $22. Hopefully they bring back breakfast buffet. read more

This is now one of our favorite spots. As a vegetarian married to an omni, it's sometimes challenging to find a place where we're both satisfied. This is by far the best buffet I've been to. The salad section is fresh and clean with lots to choose from. Their ranch is the good kind, too. If you like ranch, you know what I mean. Along with salads, they have American food, Asian food, and Italian food. The garlic bread and the mashed potatoes are some of my favorites and my husband is obsessed with the fried shrimp. He also had the cioppino and won't stop talking about how good it was. Our 18 year old's favorite was the huge dessert section. They have little mousse cups, flan, cakes, cookies, pies, rice pudding, bread pudding, cobblers, ice cream, and even more. The customer service is great, too. Came here for the crab buffet on Friday. It included prime rib along with an assortment of other things. The staff was very attentive and came by to clear plates, refill water, etc very frequently. Snow crab was hot and piping, they refilled that pretty regularly, as the tray emptied. Dungeness crab was served chill. Plenty of crawfish and clams. Well worth the $4 I spent (after the $25 free credit for signing up). Not sure if I would pay full price, maybe if I had the stomach to eat my weight in crab. Definitely recommend if you're a good eater. read more

Their dessert selection is huge. However, their seafood selection is non existent (except for fried fish sticks and popcorn shrimp). This buffet is located inside Cache Creek Casino. I have been here 2 times and I must say it is pretty good. I really like the fact that we normally play enough that we can use our credits to get an almost free meal. They have plenty of choices, such as, a full salad bar, pizza, Italian, Chinese, breakfast served all day including an Omelet station, carvery station, full dessert bar and much more. The food itself is pretty tasty, especially the omelets and carvery foods. However, the dessert table is a little disappointing. The desserts look like little works of art, but they are pretty bland in taste. I definitely will be coming back because, hello, it is a buffet that we get for next to nothing. They have Friday Lobster dinner but not a fan of crowds. Perhaps, when I'm more up to the idea I'll give it a try. Food is decent. I didn't see anything neglected as I see often in other buffets. Few things I've tried that I enjoyed were salmon poke, cocktail shrimp, and coconut chicken. They had desserts but only tried their begnets and bread pudding. Disliked their begnets but hey they had many options to try. Service was great. Our used dishes were removed promptly and our drinks kept coming. Regular lunch with cards are $10, but our bill was $4 total! Food quality was surprisingly high for a buffet - they don't have much seafood but the meats were all cooked perfectly and they had a good variety of Mexican, Chinese, and American BBQ. The carving station had this enormous turkey. Memorable items: - Fried chicken was really good - hot and crispy skin with a hint of spice and really soft meat inside. Literally fall apart and minimal chewiness. My dad got this huge turkey leg and he really liked it. - Braised pork in chili verde was also good - meat was juicy and the spiciness was just about right. - The BBQ ribs were meaty but a bit sweeter than I liked. It beats dry though. - Chinese options were good too - Mongolian Beef with heat, and fried rice that's solid. - For desserts, the Boston Cream Pie stood out but the fruit tarts were a little dry. The buffet opens at around 10:30 am, so we probably got reasonably fresh food by having lunch at 11:30. Took my Family here for Thanksgiving. We had a large party of 11 Adults and 3 children. The food selection was very minimal. There was turkey but it was not very good. It's cost $39.99 per adult. The bill was almost $500. Then we were charged 18% on top of that for tip. Other than them clearing the plates and getting us a drink the service was just ok. Almost a $90 tip for a Buffet is too much in my opinion unless the service was spectacular which it wasn't. If you plan to come here for Thanksgiving you may want to consider the other restaurants. This is a special place to eat. Yes, tonight they have an ice sculpture up of an eagle. Where do you see extavagence like that these days without having to pay $50 or more per person? I gaze for a moment careful not to breathe to heavily next to it and melt it sooner than its time. It's been years since I've been here. I came back here for thanksgiving today and the reopening of the buffet. The turkey was cold and very Very dry. Literally every single turkey that they brought out was cold and dry. Assuming 30 turkeys were precooked from last night is the only possibility. And for $40 per person, the items were very limited. Just your typical sides such as mash and gravy, stuffing, Mac n cheese and then the deep fried section, chicken strips, fish n chip, fried chicken. The only thing I'd like was the prime rib, it just came out so it was nice, tender and juicy. If the buffet continues to overcharge with limited items, $40 isn't worth it.
