Finally tried out Texas Roadhouse after passing by it on Interstate 80 throughout the years. I will confess this restaurant is the place to try out. The restaurant allows you to pick your meat before being seated. The choice of beef is amazing that it looks like you're picking it from a butcher. This restaurant can be packed with people dinning inside. The wait to being seated is less than five minutes. The BBQ Chicken Sandwich can be messy. I was able to finish my entire sandwich and still be full from it. I was able to substitute the fries with green beans. Will I try this place again...perhaps!

Tables never got cleared. The closer one was like this when we arrived and never changed.

Clearly this is a popular place full of happy people. The staff was really friendly which made up the just ok food. Medium rare steak came out medium well. Ribs were mushy from being overcooked. We ate outside which may have been a mistake. The tables were dirty and the staff never cleared anything after guests left. It is obvious that the staff uses this as a break room. So, everyone seemed happy but I'd suggest inside seating even if it is loud since we're guessing the tables will be cleaner.

I quit counting all my reviews on TRH in Fairfield, cause the there's so many! Usually a Big 5 Stars. Tonight's experience was slightly disappointing. ( Sad Face) Today my husband and I celebrated our 15th Wedding Anniversary. I'm 70 and he's 74. Our "Second Time Around" has been amazing. We always have an excellent and affordable meal every time. We like to arrive early and miss all the craziness, so we got there at 3:30 and were immediately seated next to the bar. Ok. That's fine. We wait. Finally our server arrives, takes order and leaves. We wait. No bread. No utensils and where's our drinks? Long story short...I ordered a salad, 6oz filet with grilled shrimp and loaded mashed potatoes. We finally got the bread and drinks. Salads came flying in a short time later and before we even had a chance to enjoy it, here comes the Entree? It was crazy and something we've never experienced here? Ok and now for the food review. My filet was absolutely cooked to perfection! However....Potatoes were lukewarm at best. Sour Cream made them cold. I questioned the Grilled Shrimp from first bite. They seemed a bit shy of done and opaque? I did mention this daboggle to the GM. She was very apologetic. I told her "if you don't know you can't fix it". Well we still had a wonderful day together. We all have off days..right?

Tried and true steakhouse with plenty of alternatives! The food here is always good and can't go wrong with anything honestly! Love the appetizers and smaller bites they offer The steaks are always great, and can tell the food is quality and fresh When you go make sure to ask for another round of bread because the butter is to die for! Dinner time is usually always pretty busy so you may be waiting for a bit depending on your party size. The staff is always very nice and welcoming But yeah any time I've gone for dinner the place is just about as packed as it can get and not any awkward silence at all. They offer surprisingly more cocktail drinks than you'd expect and for a very reasonable price! Cheaper than most restaurants for a basic margarita or Long Island ice tea, and very good at that! So recommend checking that out! All in all it's always a good time here and can't go wrong with anything food or drinks Highly recommend!

Was not impressed at all . 1 they allowed a dog to come in and it was sitting right across from us by the bathrooms, and the dog was licking the plate and it grossed us out. 2 we spent $400 in there and we had a party of six they messed up our whole order 3 we had three full racks of ribs and they were overcooked 4 we had fully loaded potatoes for some reason they had salt all on the outside of the potatoes. They were very edible. There was no fixings inside.. 5 . Then we were celebrating two birthdays there they bring us out brown brownies and you could've used them for hockey pucks. I don't understand what's going on with this Texas Roadhouse but for $400 it should've been better food.. very very disappointed.

The service was amazing. The ribs were tasty and tender. Their rolls were light, fluffy, fresh, and warm like always. Absolutely, divine! Most of the time I go, the food is ln point, but today, the bone-in rib eye steak tasted really over seasoned and salty. The baked potatoes were also overly salty. The mac and cheese were delicious. It had a bite to the pasta; and I know this is a preference thing. I would prefer it fully cooked. The steamed veggies were also quite crunchy. The corn was nice and sweet. The place was full of customers and there was a wait to get in. I know that the staff tried their best. They had an amazing attitude. They were positive. I would still return. Nothing to truly complain about. It was still a special day out.

My girlfriend and I tried to come here for an early dinner on a Sunday and it was PACKED! So we left. Today we took our chances for an early lunch (11:30 AM) on a Saturday. It is definitely the time to go as there were empty tables! We were greeted as soon as we came in and seated pretty quickly. Our hostess grabbed us a basket of bread (looked shiny like señorita bread, but it didn't end up being that sweet. The butter was a honey butter and it was yummy!). We thought it was a little weird, but even though they had open 4-seater booths, they sat us at a 6-seater booth that had chairs on the end with an extended table. We didn't mind, we just thought it was weird. The menus are already at the table so we grabbed them and started to decide what to eat. She is on a carnivore diet, so she just wanted some meat! Hahaha. Our server, JaneMarie was awesome. She was very attentive and super helpful. She was super friendly! We settled on the 6 oz steak and grilled shrimp plate that came with 2 sides (house salad/sweet potato with caramel and mushrooms and green beans and "fresh vegetables"). My house salad came out first. I ordered dressing on the side. It was a basic salad - nothing to write home about. The entrees came out in about 20 minutes. The shrimp was laying on 2 slices of bread/toast. The steak was smaller than I thought it would be but it was very well cooked (medium well). The broccoli was cooked in something that did not make me think "fresh". The green beans were smothered in a sauce a with bacon and onion bits. I got the broccoli and green bean to take home since she didn't eat her sides. The sweet potato was the highlight of the meal!! The shrimp were well cooked and flavored nicely. The tops were a bit salty, but not horribly. The steak was easy to cut and tasty. The sweet potato was delicious. I ended up taking my steak home with the sides and the leftover bread. We both LOVED the convenience of being able to pay at the table. We were even able to split the bill in half and pay separately. That is a feature that I appreciate so much! As we finished up, JaneMarie came over and said that her manager had a little something for us. We were excited! She came back and said it was a coupon for a free-something. The manager came over and checked in but didn't give us or say anything special. We got up to leave and I told her Jane had said she had something for us. She asked if it was our first time and we said yes and she gave us a coupon for next time and some informational papers. I took home the bag of peanuts they gave us and it reminded me that I had heard the floor was covered in peanut shells. It was not. Overall it was a nice meal (2 for me since I had the leftovers for dinner).

We ordered food for pickup. We had Road Kill, baked potatoes, chicken fried steak, and green beans. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. Only problems were we didn't receive one order of green beans, and had to wait an extraordinary amount of time for the delicious rolls. After the togo order was finally ready we waited an extra 10 mins for our bread. Could have been 5 stars for this visit otherwise.

This restaurant has been around since I was in high school. I've never really had a bad experience here. I remember back then every hour they use to stop and do a line dance. Wonder why that stopped but now on birthdays sometimes I see them bring out a prop to celebrate. Their steaks are good, I usually get medium rare. Peanuts as well as cinnamon butter with rolls are complementary. We were out for a friend's Birthday and I got the steak with shrimp with a loaded baked potato. It was really good! The day we went it was a Friday night so it was pretty busy. The restaurant's interior is nice, tables aren't overly lit and atmosphere is upbeat. I usually go on occasion but if you're craving steak and don't want to dine in, their to go is convenient. Overall, not a bad spot for a fair priced steakhouse.

This place always has a crowd but worth dining here. The menu has many choices and it comes out hot and fresh. We picked out our steaks before we sat down and the server had hot bread ready to eat. She took our drink order and after a few moments of being settled in we placed our order. The service was good, she always checked in with us. The steak was a bit over medium rare but still enjoyable with the side dishes of sweet potato, Caesar salad and corn. Overall experience was good and we would continue to come back.

What a fun place! We have never been to a Texas Roadhouse and thought we'd stop in on our way back from Reno. It was MLK day and the place was packed with people. We got there just before 4pm so I was a bit surprised for a Monday. They wait wasn't long and the way the haw it set up to get people seated seemed to work great. Kendyl was our server and she took the time to explain the menu to us. She's super bubbly and made the experience even better. For the price point this food was fantastic! My steak was a 9/10 and husband la aid for a cheap pork chop it was great! I think we will be stopping in here on out from our Reno trips home!!

Decided to give the roadhouse another shot, not disappointed, but also not impressed. A girl at the door when we walked in was quick to tell my wife that we couldn't sit at the bar tables, and it's not that big of a deal because we just sat at the bar. It wasn't that busy, she just wasn't a very friendly person to be greeting patrons. The bar tender was nice but not very attentive, just the bare minimum I guess, she did her job but that was it. Both our steaks were beyond the point of medium rare, but delicious nonetheless. That salad was actually my favorite part. The ambience is bright and noisy, very family friendly but for a mediocre steakhouse experience, Texas Roadhouse is the place for you. Prices aren't bad either.

Texas Roadhouse Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Texas Roadhouse

Do they have a room for a private party? Say, for about 15 people?

Yes but it won't be private. No closed door

Is there an outside dog friendly eating area?

    No they do not.

Do you still allow peanuts to be thrown on the floor?

    No, not any more.

Do they accept reservations or only walking wait list?

If you call ahead, yes. If you have the app you can join waitlist from your phone.

Does Texas Roadhouse still have fried fish?

Yes they do. They are smaller pieces than before.

I know this restaurant no longer does the peanuts and there are no shells on the ground anymore, but would someone who is deathly allergic to nuts be able to dine here safely?

I assume since they don't do peanuts anymore it would be safe unless you have other allergies

Do you require proof of vaccination?

    No they don't (so far).

Are they open for Xmas Eve ? If so what are the hours?

Yes!! from 11am-11pm hours may differ

Why doesn't anyone pick up the phone? How can I get on the waitlist for 8 people if nobody picks up the phone?

Like many restaurants since the governor finally decided to open the state, there's been a shortage of people wanting to work since the government is paying so much in unemployment and other free cash incentives.

How can I get reservations for 9 persons?

They don't accept reservations in Fairfield CA. But you can call for "Waitlist." Which means basically the same thing. Not sure if they are dining in yet but they should be with social distancing.

    Is reservation needed?

    No. First come....

Are we able to eat outside or inside 6ft apart?

    Outdoor dining

Do they serve prime rib for lunch?

Sometimes they will just call and ask usually they run out during 7pm

    Hours of operation?

Varies by location. Can call or go online for their website

Can you help us identify the seasoning used in the ground beef in the hamburgers they served us? Any ideas?

You can buy the seasoning. Just ask the server!

Any option to make online reservations? If so, I can't find it.

If your on the standard website on your phone it wont pop up the option. But once you press on full website itll be clear. Add your name your number and theyll give you an estimated time.

What time does Happy Hour start?

You would do best by calling them. Only been there a couple of times and am not a "happy hour" kinda person!!!

How much is a steak meal r estimate price range?

$15 to $20 depending on the cut..sans any libation!

About how much is happy hour margarita?

    2.50 on certain margaritas.

Is there a wait right now?

    Yes but not too long

TLDR: Best BBQ in Napa, hands down. Brisket and burnt ends…read moreare killer, mac n cheese surprised me, the owners are absolute gems, and the space is gorgeous. Cornbread and sauces missed the mark for me, but the meat more than made up for it. Definitely going back! The full story: Finally! A BBQ joint that knows how to season meat! Stateline Road Smokehouse in Napa is the spot. We rolled in on Mother's Day and got hit with a line almost out the door -- always a good sign! Turned out the wait wasn't bad though, because they've got a slick assembly line going. I watched the girl slicing my brisket right next to the order-taker, then just followed my tray as it moved down the line. The space is gorgeous -- big, bright, and airy, with clear garage doors and windows across the front and a domed ceiling overhead. We ordered the brisket, burnt ends, BBQ chicken, mac n cheese, and hot water cornbread. Plates come with their house-made pickles, onions, and peppers. They even have stuff for non-carnivores -- the Cherry Wood-smoked Maitake & Greens (maitake mushrooms, lettuce, heirloom rice, marinated garbanzo beans, lemon vinaigrette) and the 18th & Vine Grain Bowl (barley, quinoa, sweet potato, arugula, parsnip, saffron egg, pickled onion, burnt orange vinaigrette) both looked fantastic. Maybe I'll grab one next time -- right next to a pile of brisket! On the drink side they've got wines by the glass, boozy slushies, draft beer, and batch cocktails. We stuck with water this round. Prices were a notch above what I'm used to in Sacramento, but for Napa they felt totally fair -- especially since this is probably the best BBQ around. The brisket was a steal at $19 for a half pound. The chicken at the same price for a half bird felt a bit steep, but I could be off on what's normal up there. The brisket was seasoned beautifully from the very first bite -- smoked to perfection, fall-apart tender. No knife needed. The burnt ends were my favorite of the whole spread. They had a splash of sauce on them but it wasn't needed -- those rubs hold their own. The BBQ chicken had a totally different vibe -- hard to describe, but it gave off Asian-influenced flavors. Solid on its own, but pairing it with the brisket and burnt ends was a misfire. The flavors just didn't play nice together. The mac n cheese was great. It wasn't baked, but it also wasn't mushy or overcooked like most places -- the noodles still had bite and the cheese was flavorful. Sadly, the cornbread was the weak link. A little dry, kinda bland, and not as thick as I like. About the size of a thin 6" pancake -- not really worth the price. The other miss for me was the BBQ sauces. Just not my thing flavor-wise. To be fair though, the owner built his whole business on those sauces and apparently ships them out by the pallet, so plenty of people clearly love them! It was awesome seeing Darryl Bell, the owner, back in the kitchen working his magic -- and get this, he's reportedly the first Black restaurateur in Napa since the 1800s! That made the warm welcome hit even harder. Even with the rush going on, he popped out to snap a picture with us and thank us for coming in. His business partner Jeremy was also working the floor, checking in on every table, and he stuck around to talk us up about Darryl's BBQ skills and how their partnership came together. Then during a lull, Darryl came back out and gave us the whole tour -- the cultural and historical design choices throughout the space (the building used to be a Quonset hut, which explains that cool domed ceiling) plus the murals on the back patio. Dinner AND a show! Wishing these guys all the best. Can't wait to get back and work through more of the menu.

I ordered a rack of ribs, 1/2 lbs of brisket, a sausage, pulled pork and a side of Mac and cheese. I would say the best thing I order was the Mac and cheese. Flavorful and cheesy, Mac spirals right texture. Not too firm or soggy. Sausage was good. Flavorful. Brisket was solid as far as cook. My rib rack was dried out. lil tough. Smothered in the bbq sauce. Pulled pork not outstanding, tasted like the sauce. So the sauce itself I wasn't very fond of. Was really salty. Made the pulled pork inedible. And I didn't want another serving of the ribs after eating two. Maybe an off day.

Crunchy, saucy and juicy chicken. All are boneless, too. Comes with a side of daikon and shredded cabbage for dat fiber tho. My boo and I tried their galbi jjim with cheese. It came out in a fancy stone pot. It was loaded with pumpkin, carrots, rice cakes, glass noodles and their beef short ribs. The beef was tender and the veggies and rice cakes were tasty in the savory sweet sauce. We ordered a side of corn with cheese torched on top. It was pretty filling for 2 people. We had leftovers so the waitress took it to the back and had it sealed in a box for us to take. Their bbq chicken was surprisingly good! My SIL really liked it! The chicken wasn't dry and it was nicely seasoned and had a bit of char from their sizzling stone plate and tasted great with their rice and banchan side dishes. I like their kimchi, broccoli, macaroni and bean sprout sides. You can get them replenished, too! My mom tried their bulgogi bibimbap and she didn't have any complaints. My bro tried their brisket seolleongtang soup and he seemed to enjoy it because he finished the whole bowl without sharing. My lil' (under 2yo) nephew approved of anything that landed on his plate. Maru is located in a shopping plaza and tucked in the corner near Raley's. The restaurant is small, but modern. It's definitely not a place you would expect in Fairfield. Both times that I've come here we didn't have an issue with waiting for a table despite it being a small shop. You can order from a waiter, or you can order from their tablet screen at the table. Overall, good korean food for a reasonable price. Service was quick and the vibes were right. They were playing some kpop music! I'd definitely come back to get more fried chicken and try their soft tofu stew. Check them out if you're in the area. They should have Badtz Maru as their mascot lol

Slices are a little thin imo but I don't mind layering two pieces together to make a pretty solid wrap with the radish wraps and sauce they give you. The braised pork belly is pretty flavorful and well cooked itself and the complimentary sides, like kimchi and radish kimchi, added to it-- Wow. Definitely try this dish. Combo Soft Tofu Soup -- not a big fan of the spam added, but otherwise great flavor and comforting on a rainy day. It was relatively empty when we arrived which was around a couple minutes after opening, but quickly filled up with patrons. It's pretty casual and cozy inside and I like how quick the check is given to you after the end of your meal so you don't have to worry about flagging down a server. They're really attentive ! This is such a hidden gem, I lowk would gate keep this restaurant but... they deserve recognition and business for their great food and service! ^o^ Definitely stop by here if you're craving Korean cuisine in Fairfield.

Ambiance- the containers were labeled, and easy to identify Food- no you don't need to grab the salt and pepper- they seasoned everything well. Amazing! I was skeptical at first with the eggs.. after the first bite, it was soft and pillowy ... I believe they use REAL FRESHLY Cracked eggs! It doesn't have the plastic texture you would get from a cartoon egg. I prefer my potatoes a little bitty- but theirs were on the soft side. The flavor is on point! The fruit was so pretty and fresh. Definitely yes! Book them in your next event.

We had asked them for a keep-warm set up and the burner set up worked great! The food was hot/warm for hours! The food itself was amazing. We had ordered the veggie and bacon burritos, along with country potatoes and scrambled eggs and cheese. Literally every item was delicious and full of flavor. The burritos were super well made and easy to eat even one handed. They were full-sized burritos, which surprised me because of how reasonably they were priced! Eggs were nicely cooked and cheesy. The potatoes were delicious and nicely spiced. Excellent service, polite and nice caterers, punctual, and delicious food. What more can you want? Definitely recommend!

The service was great, we went around 2pm, so there were only a couple other diners and folks getting take away, but the food came out quick and hot. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. We had the brisket, ribs, hot links (not pictured), catfish, and shrimp for mains. For sides we had the slaw, mac & cheese, fried okra, green beans, and hush puppies (also left those out). We grabbed some desserts to go, but they were delicious as well. Green beans still had a snap to them, so they did a quick simmer and weren't completely sogged out. I would have preferred a touch more salt, but they were great when you snagged a bit of bacon in the bite! Okra was good, a bit over cooked, but I would order again tomorrow. Cole slaw was great! It had bits of apple that added a touch of sweetness in a well balanced, creamy sauce. Mac and cheese was perfect! Tried my kid's hushpuppies and they were amazing dipped in the bbq garnish on the plate! Brisket was hands down the best brisket I've ever had, falling apart and absolutely mouth watering. The ribs were tender while still having bite to them. Again, well balanced and sauce was lite enough that it complimented the meat. Shrimp and catfish breading was the perfect blend of crispy and crumbly, while being perfectly spiced! We can't wait to go back and visit again, felt like we made friends and definitely found a new BBQ mainstay! Only thing I can't speak to personally are the hot links, but my kid said they were great, guess I'll find out on the next trip!
