STORE: located in the Great Mall. Overall everything was organized. I like how bright the store is. SHOES: came into the store to pick-up for shoes ordered online. Nice that they offer in store pick up for online orders. Showed the email confirmation and ID. Got the black Jordan Flight shoes. STAFF: nobody asked me or my fiancé if we needed help as we looked at the shoes on the wall on the right when you first walk in. Nobody was at the register counter. We had to find someone toward the middle of the floor who was chit chatting with another worker to go to the register and help us. OVERALL: They sell Warriors gear! Jerseys, beanies, T-shirts. Super colorful socks and some crazy looking shoes (refer to my photos). It's not a bad store in general, and I assume it gets boring working there especially when it's not busy, but when a customer walks in that's when they should at least ask if we need help, THEN go back to chit chatting with each other after we say no. read more

Bought a pair of nike panda dunk shoes from Footlocker online and they shipped me a wrong color and some what used shoes in a beat up box. The customer service rep on phone told me I can return at local champs. So I went and the store manager "Anthony" who wouldn't give me his last name accused me of lying because I told him I used guest checked out and don't have account log in... but he said the email says it's "FREE SHIPPING" so why did you lie to me. Free shipping is only available to account members... and the shoes is used... I told him the order was placed almost 2 weeks ago and I m not sure if I used account log in or guest... He refused the return and saying its used and I was not honest... But it is what foot locker sent me what am I supposed to do... I went home and tried checked out as guest footlocker website online and it is "FREE SHIPPING" for guest check out... I am okay with not being able to return at store but I really don't appreciate being accused of something that I did not do based on false assumptions. He implies that I am trying to fraud the company with different shoes and get a refund... Why would I do that it's only 110 shoes... Jesus... This review is from my recent experience at this location with the manager, I think is named Andre, and his staff. Andre especially was awesome!! Very patient, listened to the problem we had from ordering a pair of shoes that we tried rush delivered from the champs website last Tuesday 12/18. We had already tried calling Champs customer service (0 stars to champs.com) with no success after never receiving a confirmation email or tracking update. The number plastered all over champs.com is a disconnected number. So Friday 12/21, we decided to see if anyone from the store could help us. We first spoke to the cashiers for help, and Andre over heard our situation and walked us over to the side. After listening to our problem he called someone he knew from customer service but no one was answering. Andre wasn't sure how long the call would go for but he assured us he'd make sure to get a hold of someone, so we continued our shopping and stopped by Champs before leaving Great Mall. When we came back Andre was still on the phone waiting to speak to someone, but even then he assured us that he'd continue to try the number until one of us heard back from Champs customer service. Later on that night, I finally got a status update email. My order was cancelled and was refunded. I doubt if we didn't get any of Andre's help we'd still be up in the air about this order. The worst experience I have ever had in my entire life bad service bad customer service. I bought a pair of Jordan slides. Jasmine told me they didn't have them in the store but they were going to order them. They ordered them supposedly they were going to arrive at my house in two weeks. WHAT IS THE POINT of having price stickers on the display shoes if they are going to charge a different price at the register?!?! About 3 1/2 weeks ago my fiancé and I were at Great Mall and I saw a pair of Jordan's that I wanted. After looking in a couple different stores, Champs had the best deal. (Sticker said $75. Everywhere else was $100) I mentioned to my fiancé that I wanted them and Christmas was coming up. Fast forward to 12/17. He goes to Champs to buy me the shoes. The sticker on the display shoe STILL says $75 but when he gets to the front of the line they charge him $100. When he mentioned that the sticker said a different price they made excuses and told him there was nothing they could do EVEN THOUGH THE STICKER CLEARLY SAYS $75 AND ITS BEEN THAT WAY FOR WEEKS. He still bought them for me of course, and I love them BUT I'm seriously thinking about returning them because I can't stand when stores do crap like that! Your products cant just SAY one price and then charge something else at the register! (FYI if I return them I'll just walk literally across the hall and buy them again at Sheikh because at least the price they advertise will be the price you pay.) I purchased some shoes in October and I only used them once. But I never realized that they were the wrong size , after 4 months I received a call from Yashika J. Telling me that they noticed that I had got two wrong sizes when I purchased the shoes in October. The fact that she called me for that showed me how she actually cares about the customers that come to shop at their store ! She was so nice and really chill about everything! I was able to get a whole new pair of shoes after all that. Yashika deserves a raise or a promotion or something! Adam P. helped me choose the cool, in-style items for my teenage son and it looks great on him. As a mom, I know which brands are in style, but I can't tell which items are in style or how the boys wear them and what they wear together. He went into the storage room to find the right size Nike jacket for my son. He did not try to upsell me even though it was obvious that he could have. I came here to get shoes since school is right around the corner and I wanted to treat myself. But knowing that I'm very indecisive I wasn't sure with what I wanted. All I knew was that I wanted a new pair of shoes. As I came into the store, one of the employees had greeted me right away and approached me with what they have on sell and the deals that are going on at the moment. She had actually helped me chose shoes while going back and fourth with other customers but had stayed with me till i found the shoes I wanted even though I kept switching back. I can say she was very patient with me. She was super friendly and not other that she was easy to talk to which we kept our conversation going on and on. Even though I took long, she still stayed with me throughout the process. I even got new pairs on Nike socks, a bought insole, and a pair of huaraches. I came into Great Mall looking for some casual Nike shoes and since it was lunch I did not think it would be crowded. There are probably eight to ten stores selling athletic shoes so the selection is fairly large. I went into one shoe store and the sales associate be-rated my old school adidas (casual Friday at work). Not cool I thought and I said to myself I'm not buying anything from you. I went into Champs which is well laid-out, very organized and saw they had a nice selection of shoes. The sales associate Miles helped me check out 3 different pairs which I tried on. I did not find the right selection but I did find a pair of after workout slide sandals. What impressed me was his salesmanship. He talked about the sales of the shorts, socks and baseball caps. Doing the up-sell and being professional about it. Great customer service with a smile get repeat business with me. read more

So I came here last night 30 minutes before they closed trying to kill some time before watching Batman V Superman at the theaters adjacent to the mall and with the sole intention of only looking at the Curry 2 shoes that recently came out. I came out instead with like 7 other items to boot, but only because the salesmanship and the help here was above and beyond what I was expecting. I went to CHAMPS at the Great Mall and it was "f'd - up!" to say the least. I am a Veteran and went in with my id and everything else to prove I was a Vet to get the discount they were advertising. This is my first time writing a review for a store but I had to do it. I've been looking for a specific shoe for some time now, Adidas ZX Flux. Apparently some designs are practically impossible to find in stores so I've been searching and searching online for some time now for these shoes. A couple weeks ago it showed up on the Champs website that it was available, but when I checked again later and it was gone. I talked to Melissa at Champs and she helped me out. It was lunch time and pretty busy so she had her hands full with a lot of customers. She looked online along with her manager and after some time they found the "impossible to find" shoe! I was able to try on the right size (sizing was a little off so I wanted to make sure) in a similar shoe to be sure. She ordered it and 2 days later...I got it! The employees at this store are some of the best I've experienced. When I walked in, Christian greeted me and answered my questions about what I was looking for. When they didn't have what I wanted in store he happily offered to order it for me and get it shipped directly to me. My girlfriend purchased a couple of hoodies for me. She paid cash. Unfortunately, she got the wrong size. I went in this morning to exchange the hoodies WITH THE RECEIPT, and was told that I had to provide my ID. When I explained repeatedly that she purchased them less than a week ago, and I had the receipt and all I wanted to do was exchange them - the representative stated that unfortunately that's the store policy and he couldn't do anything about it. Thankfully I can. My girlfriend will return them tonight for a refund and I will never shop at Champs again. read more

We bought a pair of Nike shoes at this Champ store at great mall because it seemed the attendants were so energetic but soon we found the shoes were not suitable, this time, they were so criticism that the shoes has worn and could not be returned or even exchanged. So I came to champs this morning as I usually do because it's my favorite store to buy anything from, however my experience at this great mall location was terrible. I walked in looking to do a simple return and was "helped" by a white guy with a bold head. Instead of helping me with my return, he kept finding every excuse not to do it for me. I simply wanted to return my jersey that I purchased last month back onto a gift card. I even had the tags still on it and the receipt. It took me having to leave and then come back to have to finally get him to do it and even then he did so in the least customer service oriented way (leaving me to think people at this location have no training in how to engage customers and help them). I was planning on returning my jersey and using the credit toward some even more expensive lebrons but the guys rude attitude completely killed mine and I didn't even feel like getting them anymore. All in all, this is probably the last time Ill visit this location and am probably gonna stick to the Fremont store where customer service is great and people are always willing to help. read more
