A very clean and well-stocked store from sports apparel, sports equipment, and so much more! My sister is really into badminton right now, so we had a reason to explore the venue. The only issue was that there weren't enough or not enough staff to be seen on the floor to help us out. We managed to find badminton rackets after wandering for about 5 minutes, and they had a great deal for $25 for 4 racquets and 2 birdies. Good experience! read more

Always one of the sporting stores to stop by and grab the kid his gear. Store is always clean and things are neatly put in its place. Service is always friendly, but at times hard to find in the store. But always willing to assist with what you need help with. Value can sometimes be higher priced than other locations, but very competitive in most of items in the baseball department. read more

It's so sad that the Dick's sporting goods located at the Pacific Common has been closed early this year. . It just so happens that i have to return an item which i bought online. Now i have to drive extra 10 miles to go to their other store located at the Great Mall in Milpitas. Good, online shopping is better and good value too. Bad? On these location employees ate not at all accommodating, you got their frustrated face cause there are two of us returning an item. I came in around 6:05 PM to purchase a pair of steel toe shoes. I had checked online beforehand and saw there was one pair left in stock. I asked a staff member for help, a Hispanic girl with long nails, black hair, and gold jewelry. She said she'd check the back for the shoes, but after going through a back door, she never came back. I waited for about 15 minutes with no update. Thankfully, the cashier, Jaymein, was super kind and helpful. When I asked him about the shoes, he said it was strange because they don't even store those shoes in the back. He apologized and called for someone else to assist since he had a long line at the register. That's when Christine stepped in, she was amazing. Very apologetic and quick to help. She ran to the correct area and found the shoes right away. Her attitude and service completely turned the situation around. Ian provided excellent customer service! I needed shoes with lots of cushion to walk extensively on my vacation this summer, and unfortunately the Asics Gel-Nimbus' quality (poor sole) and comfort (scratchy tongue underside instead of the padded tongue) have gone downhill after the Gel-Nimbus 23. Apparently, 24 and 25 are an "improvement," although I think that Asics ruined a perfectly good shoe after decades of selling a superior product. If a perfectly good shoe isn't broken, please stop trying to fix it. I was sitting there in the shoe area just waiting for some service. Ian who is studying Social Work in college came up to me, listened to my concerns, and found the perfect shoe for me - Brooks Glycerin 20. Not as good as the Asics Gel-Nimbus 23, however, that shoe is dead and not available anywhere any longer. So, I have to move on and make do with the next best alternative. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I don't know the name of the old man there but he's balding and looks like he doesn't wanna work there. We went in to buy a +$300 Olympic weight set and they took an hour to get that out, didn't even ring us up, had us bring our car and we were just there waiting They saw us standing and waiting and didn't even think to ring us up to at least pay! We were looking at the gym equipment to buy some weights for me and my friend, and as we put down the weights very gently we were being kicked out by the manager for making too much "noise" when we weren't anything at ALL. I know DICK's have many bad reviews, but I guess I was the only exception LOL. We were shopping for an elliptical machine and had one of the worst experience/service with Sears which ending up returning their poor performance elliptical machine. I did some research and DICK's had a few elliptical machines that I was interested in. While looking at the store, an employee name Bryce approached us with any help or questions. With his help and expertise, the Bowflex M3 was our number one choice! He advised if we want to deliver ourselves, we should ask Home Depot across from the store. Home Depot provided cheaper rental than UHaul which I didn't know! Finally, he booked our schedule for the assembly. The delivery I called Home Depot and they had one pickup truck rental available. They hold it for me til I arrive. The cost was $19 for the first 75 minutes, but they do charge an additional every 15 minutes you go over. It shouldn't take me that long to return the truck and this pickup truck came with a ramp with no charge compared to UHaul. I drove to DICK's and the elliptical was ready for pickup. The assembly The assembler arrived early and only took him 15 minutes for the installation. He made sure the machine was installed properly so he asked us to give it a try before he left. We were so happy with the Bowflex M3 and it was worth it. read more

I am giving DICK's 5 stars because they have come through for us during the pandemic in completing our home gym. Yes, they sell out faster than they get weights in, but they're helpful in letting us know what delivery days are and we go when they open and over a few visits, we're able to get everything that needed - hexagon weights (most of the weights), olympic weights, and then bosu ball, and power chair for abs, pull-ups and triceps. In the beginning, one of the store managers in south SJ wasn't great whatsoever with customer service, but the Milpitas and Concord store have been helpful and made up for it in providing information and in us being able to buy what we need. The prices are good per weight as well, which is great because everywhere else is charging double. We'll keep coming to visit and see what else we can buy. read more

I have been going to Dick's Sporting Goods (Great Mall) for years. It's convenient as it is close to my neighborhood, not the cheapest but they price match. All is well until the incident this evening. To Dick's Sporting Goods Senior Management: I trust that you will look into this case of a terrible store manager. You may check your video cameras (recording) inside the premises to verify and investigate this incident (Dick's Sporting Goods Great Mall). You can also check the receipt to verify the purchase I made (Btw, your cash register is 1 hour off. My receipt says 5:42 pm. It should've been 6:42 pm). Staff get reprimanded for hostility and arguing with a customer. Nick (manager) was ARGUMENTATIVE, HOSTILE, DISRESPECTFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL to me and my son. Staff can even get suspended for hostile act. Managers set the tone and influence the attitude of their staff. This type of TERRIBLE attitude must be stopped. If Nick is indeed a manager, Dick's Sporting Goods needs to address his TERRIBLE behavior. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. To be hostile and aggressive to customers especially with kids is NEVER acceptable. Nick will continue to spread this type of TERRIBLE ATTITUDE to his staff and other customers. How many customers has Nick treated this way? How many more customers is he going to treat this way? BAD managers will ruin your business. Managers who are hostile to customers should get fired. Nick should get fired. Here is the sequence of events of my encounter with Nick (manager): - Around 6:20pm tonight June 7, 2022, I took my son to Dick's Sporting Goods (Great mall) to buy rubber tees (golf). - We looked around but couldn't find the item. I decided to get help and found Nick. - Nick looked around, couldn't find it so he checked the back room. - He came out and said the item is sold out. - My kid and I were about to head out when I decided to check Dickssportinggoods.com and found that the store should have it. I went to the cashier to verify if the store indeed had the item. He took us again to the golf aisles and went around the aisles "not here, not here, not here" as we followed him. - He then turned to me and said "I wasn't lying when I told you we don't have it" - I replied "I did not say you were lying, it's just that Ian (cashier) verified that you have 11 of them listed in stock". - Nick says "the inventory is wrong" - I asked him "Can you help check the back again?" - He raised his voice and said "I ALREADY CHECKED THE BACK FOR YOU!" - We continued to walk around and he found the item on the shelf in front of the junior clubs. - He was very upset when he handed me the item. - I checked if there were more of the same item and said to myself ok I thought it was out. - He must have heard me and so he exclaimed "WE WALKED HERE! YOU MISSED IT TOO!" - I said "I thought it was out", He said "why are you calling me a liar" - He then came up to my face and accused me that I was being aggressive. - He came in front of me and so I sensed that I had to escalate to a manager. - I asked him "Who's your manager?" He said "I am the manager". I told him "This is bad customer service. Who's next after you?" He again said "I am the manager". - Nick said "Ok, I am going to have to escort you out!" - I walked away with my son to avoid further escalation. I just wanted to pay for the item and be done with it. I told him "Dick's sporting goods is going to hear about this". - After that, I decided I was not talking anymore. He followed me and my kid and wanted to escort us out. - I lined up to the cashier. Nick said "Ok, but we're not going to ring you out with that item." - He then went behind the cashier while I waited for my turn. - He again came out and said I owed him an apology and that I should apologize to him. UNBELIEVABLE! This is the WORST treatment I have ever gotten. I refused to talk to avoid further escalation. At that point, another guy (Anthony) came in and went behind the cashier on the other side. While I was paying, I took a glance of the supposedly manager's name tag and made sure I got it right. Nick again talked and said, "My name is NICK, do you want me to write my name in there?! (He was referring to the receipt) I told him "No, I got it Nick" then headed to the exit. read more

I always try to go to this store due to proximity however there is no one available to assist or even if they are they seem to just ignore you. I don't think the workers even care about customers. Online shows availability of the product and if you go to the store they just point you to where it is and tell you that if it's not there it might have been stolen. Worst Customer Service ever! I am a regular at the Fremont Dicks sporting goods and their online shopping. I came to the Milpitas store because they had a order online and pick up in store item I wanted last minute for Christmas. I walk in and the store looks decent for it being the last minute Christmas rush. Not too messy and we'll stocked. I had came in here a few weeks before, because I was doing Christmas shopping. They didn't have what I was looking for but I walked out with something good either way. So today, I come in to pick up my online pick up. I walk all the way to the other end of the store and the employee in the front let's me know online pick up is in the back, the place I entered. So I'm a bit annoyed but not mad. I get to the back and there is no visible sign letting people know where online pick-up happens. So after doing a little walk around I ask the cashier, her name was Amanda. She snarkly tells me the sign is right there! There is a small sign, where a scanner is that says online pick-up. I mean how could I miss the 10x12inch sign tucked away behind a screen?! I then mentioned they should have a bigger sign, maybe something hanging at the entrance? She then tells me in a snarky tone, "Or you could've just asked me?!" ugh! what?! Yes, how did I not think of asking her, she looks like a person that has answers to EVERYTHING! So then eye roll and all, she calls another employee to get the item I ordered online. The other lady shows up, doesn't acknowledge me or anything, puts the item on the counter and they turn and start having a personal conversation. She looked annoyed that she had to bring the item to me. I mean who knows, she may have been in the middle of brain surgery in the back. I then don't get told I'm ready to go, or have a good day or nothing. They proceeded to have a conversation like I was completely invisible. I walked out not just annoyed but offended.
