This is a new place that recently opened. We stopped by and tried both the chai and the food and were wowed by both. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions. I believe that drinks can be made with alternative milks but I did not confirm if they have fully nondairy options. There are plenty of vegetarian options and different sized food from snacks to meals. The vibe is very modern bohemian with lots of plants and natural lighting and comfy chairs that seat groups of mostly 2-4. We were really impressed and excited to find this spot and will be back. Highly recommend the chai flight if you're not sure which to get - try them all!

Chai Sutra is a lovely new addition to Seattle, especially on a cold day! The Ginger Cardamom Chai was incredibly soul-warming, and the Kebab Burger was surprisingly yum. The ambiance is very cute, and while the service was a bit slow, the staff was so kind, they're clearly just finding their rhythm as a new business. A huge plus is their all-inclusive pricing; they don't accept tips and build it right into the menu, which we absolutely loved. Definitely a cozy spot worth checking out!

Flight pf masala chai (8 spice, ginger cardamom, saffron, rose)

Found this gem while traveling for business. I selected a flight of masala chai (8 spice, ginger-cardamom, saffron and rose). The chai's are milk forward but the Malala's are distinctive. I absolutely enjoyed my experience.

I've previously had HeyTea in their Bellevue location, so I expected more or less the same when I…read moregot to this one on a hot, sweaty Tuesday evening around 5:40pm. Because it was hot and sweaty, a big sea of people were waiting both outside and inside this place, and I saw only about 5 or so staff members making all the drinks. There's only two tables and two benches to sit at on the right-hand side of the place; otherwise, the rest of the space is behind the counter where all the drinks are made and the strong aromatic aroma of tea fills the interior. From my visit here, I think you can only place orders either through their lone kiosk to the left-hand side of the entrance near a corner, or by scanning the QR code at the front of the entrance and following prompts on your phone. Staff was too busy making drinks to take orders at the front counter when I was inside. Either way, you have to use the HeyTea app to scan a QR code (on the receipt you get after placing your order) if you want to see an estimate on when your drink(s) will be ready. By the time I signed up for an account and downloaded the app using the slow 5G, my estimated time was 25 minutes; however, the wait for my triple supreme matcha latte (with extra matcha, less sugar and all other things in their recommended settings) ended up being more than 45 minutes as I walked around the perimeter and waited inside and outside this location as well. It was really chaotic trying to get my drink once it was ready; people were cutting in front of me and others to show staff their receipt and pick up their orders even though I was in front of the line. Taste wise though, the matcha is a strong ceremonial blend with grassy tones that actually caught me by surprise. That's because they have a matcha cheese cloud which I thought would have dulled the matcha taste but it didn't! There's also matcha mochi and what tasted like matcha jelly on the bottom which further strengthened the earthy tones. Probably because it was really hot as of this writing, the ice melted much fasted than usual so that's out of this place's control and therefor doesn't detract from my experience itself. Wait here was really long for just one drink but I'm thankful there's something you can use to see when your drinks are ready - in this case, their HeyTea app. I would probably only come back if I was around the area, though wait times for drinks might deter me from doing so altogether.

I can't recommend both of these enough, and I would definitely order them again. Recommend starting with light sweetness, it was the perfect ratio. There are a few counter seats and a bench inside, but that's about it. You'll want to take it to-go. The wait time after ordering is quite long at this location, so be prepared for that.

I liked the sandwich, it just wasn't quite worth the price imo. Like I'd still go if it was payday or something but probably not on a regular day tbhhh. I did like the bread of the sandwich though! It threw me for a loop since I didn't expect it to be so crunchy and thin, but it really grew on me.

The bread surprised me as being a new type of sandwich bread - it was really crispy, and the grill marks were pretty cool to see. The crunch on it was actually quite nice. Honestly was very surprised the bread was this good. The steak was decent enough. Nothing special, but also they don't do the thing where they call it a steak sandwich or bowl and give you a few pieces of skirt steak. The meat was actually spread apart well throughout the sandwich. The cheese and sauces gave this a good moisture level to prevent it from being too dry. This contributed to the pretty good taste Only issue is the price - it's quite a small sandwich, and yet you're paying 15 bucks for it. That's just insane prices. This is hardly filling enough for a single person for lunch. Overall, I was expecting this to be expensive and bad, and at least it was just expensive. 7.5/10
