Currently if you want to book reservation for tea group it would be $65 per person. Parking: Good luck finding parking on the top floor, cause this plaza gets busy. Most of the time you'll be able to find a parking spot on the underground parking structure. Tie Guan Yin soft serve: texture was nutty like black sesame. It had a slight roasted taste to it with tea underlining. Definitely, would recommend getting their soft serve here. SGV boba passport book: I got to try their 913 King Oolongs Tea with 50% sweetness. They really hit it right on the mark with the sweetness. It was still sweet but not too sweet. Tea mix was inbetween light. Not much seating inside if there are a lot of tea serving reservations booked on the day of. Very spacious, and very beautiful if you're a tea lover like looking at tea pots, tea cups, and different tea bags to buy this is your place to drop by.

#124 in my Teaholic Diaries. Located on the second floor of the plaza, Chaffee is an elegant tea house that incorporates traditional Chinese tea culture into a modern tea experience. Their tea rooms are exquisite, and are inspired by traditional Chinese tea houses. I felt like I was in a high end jade shop, and interestingly enough, they have a teapot museum in the middle of the large establishment. In addition to selling loose leaf teas and tea ceremony cupware, they also offer afternoon tea service as well as a few select individual teas/milk teas that are brewed-to-order. I opted for the 913 King's oolong tea and the Cassia milk tea from their iced tea collection. Both drinks were smooth and mellow. The 913 king oolong tea is a signature blend of oolong with ginseng. It was vibrant in color and had a lovely sweet floral taste. My favorite of the two was the cassia milk tea, which was a little on the richer side with a malty flavor profile. Overall, I enjoyed the two drinks and would be interested in trying their other iced teas. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Average. Might return if others drag me. 4 Stars: Yum! Likely to return. 5 Stars: Amazing! Would plan my day around it.

Came last week to hang out with a friend and finally try the tea experience at Chaffee | Ten Fu's & Ten Ren's Tea Boutique. It's located upstairs in Camellia Square Shopping Plaza, right by the iconic floating teapot fountain. Walking inside felt like stepping into a traditional Chinese tea house. The space is beautifully designed with elegant décor, display cases filled with various teapots, and an impressive wall of teas available for purchase. We were led to a quiet semi-private room featuring gorgeous mahogany and cherry elm wood tables and chairs, intricate carvings, abalone inlays, and beautifully crafted wooden partition panels separating the rooms. Our room also had views overlooking a portion of Rosemead Blvd. and a nearby side street. I did have to wait a little before being greeted, but it appeared the staff member was assisting other guests in the back, so it was understandable. The menu offered a wide variety of teas to choose from, and we each selected our own pot. Alongside the tea came a beautifully presented assortment of traditional Chinese tea snacks. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the staff explained the proper steeping times for the first, second, and third infusions. An electric kettle maintained the perfect water temperature throughout our visit, allowing us to fully enjoy each subsequent brew. The entire experience felt relaxing, elegant, and unhurried--an excellent way to spend an afternoon catching up with a friend. The teas were enjoyable, the setting was stunning, and the service provided a nice introduction to traditional tea appreciation. My only downside was the price. At about $65 per person, I felt the tea snacks didn't quite match the premium cost of the experience. Overall, it was a fun and unique experience to try at least once, especially if you enjoy tea culture, beautiful surroundings, and a slower-paced afternoon with friends.

Chaffee tea house offers such a unique Chinese high tea experience. The set comes with 10-11 small bites with your choice of tea. The treats are quite small but cute. Their presentation is so adorable. One tip: try your tea before diving into the treats because the sweets will overpower your tea. Mine at least. I ordered Bai Hai Oolong. The interior of this tea house is also so beautifully designed. I visited on a Friday afternoon and peaceful and quiet which I love. Our server was wonderful and helped recommended options. At a $65 per person, is definitely a splurge, but for the presentation and overall experience. It's worth giving it a try!

The place has such a peaceful and zen atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for meetings, studying, or simply relaxing. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and our drinks came out quickly, which made the whole experience even better. I tried the 913 Kings Oolong Milk Tea with regular sweetness, and it was delicious! The aroma was amazing, and the flavor had the perfect balance of sweetness with a subtle hint of bitterness from the oolong tea. I also love that they use agave, which makes it feel like a healthier choice.

When we first came in we were given a sample of one of their teas. Once you order your drink, you go to the back and wait as that is where the drinks come out. there are chairs. The milk tea here taste so healthy. But i guess its a good thing. You can taste the 3 ingredients they add to the drink. The only bad thing was 1 of the teas ran out and it wouldve taken 30 minutes to brew up more. You can also buy from their tea selection and i suppose the many types of pots and cups then have for the tea. They have pretty cute ones. It looks like they also do afternoon tea which is a cute event with friends since you might get a private room.

My friend saw this afternoon tea option and it was located in the Temple City and named Chaffee so we decided to check it out. It is located in the same plaza that has many tasty food options and also a beauty store on the bottom. This place is located on the second floor and it has a super cute interior. The place is quiet and also very Asian oriented. We sat down on these traditional Chinese chairs that are made with wood and look handcrafted. We were sitting in a nice spot and then our tea service started. Each person gets to decide which tea they would like to have and there is a list. I picked a black tea that was full of boldness. Then came the dessert and cakes. It was super cute and overall each one was a different taste and flavor! I like the setup of it and it was very nicely displayed. Overall we both had a fun time here and it was good to be able to catch up with your friends here! Perfect spot to do so.

The afternoon tea service at Chaffee isn't bad, but for its price, it's very disappointing. This service is priced at $65 per person, and with tax and tip, will run you closer to $80. Although the snacks are plentiful and presented nicely, their quality seemed like the treats were taken from packaging and simply placed on the tray. I did like some items like the custard taiyaki, but some items such as the spicy peanuts and spicy bean curd were not very good at all. The bean curd in particular was hard and not palatable. The tea selection was good. Each member of your party gets to choose their own tea. I chose the pearl jasmine oolong for myself, but my favorite was the Bai Hao Oolong (Oriental Beauty). The seating area is pretty, and you'll get some nice pictures, but I believe this tea service is overpriced as none of the tea accompaniments felt freshly made.

I love their oolong soft serve but I usually come for the Chaffee tea latte, which is an iced oolong tea with espresso and agave. Delicious! Came in today and it seems like they are finally getting more business. The main appeal is the vast collection of teas and you can even relax in one of the many rooms with a nice aerial view of temple city, haha. Very good, quick and friendly service! 5 stars.

This is such a cute spot for an Asian afternoon tea. There's a great selection of well-known Chinese and Taiwanese teas to try and they're legit. The snacks themselves were pretty, fun to try, and nicely presented. But...they weren't that special if I'm being honest. For the price point, I expected something handmade but most, if not all, tasted store-bought / pre-packaged. Food composition also lacks thought. Nevertheless, the ambiance stood out to me and made the experience relaxing and peaceful. Just don't expect too much from the food.

Great staff and atmosphere. Very relaxing. Their food is Asian style which pairs with the tea but don't expect the sandwiches (like most other afternoon "high" tea). If you're familiar with the Asian snacks these may not be new. Would recommend for the experience altogether!

This is one of my favorite tea spots, it's not like your typical boba shops. This is more for a place to sit down and enjoy sips of tea. Each drink is made fresh and straight from their own tea leaves. Here you can really enjoy a nice afternoon conversation with plenty of seats. Ordered a jasmine green milk tea. What I received was a cup of iced water pretending it once met milk and tea somewhere in its past life. No flavor, no richness, no sweetness, just cold disappointment. I genuinely couldn't tell if this was a drink or a practical joke. Maybe management should actually taste what their staff is serving before charging customers for it. I managed one courtesy sip; the remaining 99% was promptly introduced to the nearest trash can before I even left the parking lot. Giving 2 stars for the decor tho ;) read more

Authentic tea place and 5-star customer service! We ordered a Ten Lu Oolong tea with no ice and less sweetener and a green tea with less ice and full sweetener. TikTok brought me here and I will say this is one of the rare times TikTok did not disappoint LOL We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and it was relatively calm inside. I ordered the chaffogato which consisted of their signature tea ice cream with shot of espresso. Don't be fooled by the store front, the actual store is HUGE with two back rooms for you to sit and hang with friends. We were lucky to get a whole room to ourselves and it was indeed an awesome way to spend the hot afternoon. As for the dessert, it really hit the spot but it was very very VERY strong. I would not recommend if you're sensitive to caffeine, otherwise, have in the early early afternoon. Will be back!! read more

Chaffee is an excellent place for high quality tea. The nice environment is suitable for afternoon tea, chat, and business talk. Furthermore, they display lots of tea set and tea antiques, so this place is like a mini tea museum. I specifically recommend pick-a-tea. They will use Expresso Machine to extract the tea leaves, which gives special aroma to the pure tea. Highly recommend and be aware that this place will raise your bar for the tea quality. read more

One of those places that instantly transports you to Asia's finest tearooms. From the kind service and hospitality to the richly brewed teas, I've never felt so welcomed in a space. Don't expect your typical milk tea offerings, Chaffee focuses on freshly brewed oolong and green teas. I loved sampling their signature 913 King's Oolong tea, it was deeply roasted and strong. My favorite was their Tie Yuan Kin Oolong Ice Cream and their 913 King Oolong tea, served cold. I've never had an oolong ice cream before, but I absolutely loved the homemade rich grainy-ness of the tea flavor. I also had the opportunity to try their afternoon tea experience ($65 per), usually they have online reservations, but were able to host my group later that day. The cost is pretty affordable given the amount of items provided with the immaculate service. With an assortment of fun snacks and unlimited refills for our choice of Taiwan or Chinese teas, we had a blast. Their tea menu is sourced from Ten Ren's (Taiwanese) and Ten Fu Tea (Chinese). We got their Pearl Jasmine Green Tea and Bai Hao Oolong (Oriental Beauty) tea. How the staff describe each tea is pure skill, capturing the essence of the smell, leaf coloring, and general awe. My favorite part of this place is exploring the rooms and decor, everything from the plating to presentation is thought out and holds a purpose. Service was well. Went for afternoon tea with some friends and they explained everything perfectly. Although some of the afternoon tea snack were not my cup of tea, it was a very peaceful and pleasant experience. The Jinxuan Oolong tea was a good mix of floral and tea. I tried their afternoon tea set for $65, and it isn't like your traditional afternoon tea set. All flavors are Taiwanese based/inspired and there were no savory options. The entire set was on the sweet side and was not for me, however it may be great for someone else. The service was incredible as they walked us through the teas and how to properly drink it. You are secluded to a semi private room. Although I won't be back for the afternoon tea, I say it's definitely worth a try if you want to try something different from your typically afternoon teas. read more

honestly wasnt a big fan of their milk tea but im leaving a five star review because the staff is very kind and the store itself is so interesting and such a great ambiance. it is a bit awkward because its not really obvious where to go and i was afraid id be intruding into spaces im not supposed to be in ( some rooms look reserved and some tables look like art pieces). the ice cream though was delicious! i got a matcha soft serve with a cone and found it to be similar to the green tea masters shop in LA -but- it is a bit grainier? i enjoyed it a lot. the cone i could probably skip but there is no extra charge to have it in the cone so that's really nice! the milk tea i ordered, i thought was just not my cup of tea. also the outside of the store, the second level feels slanted. i actually hated that , but that's more so an issue with the building itself and not really chaffee's fault. read more

Cleanliness is the bare minimum for any food or beverage business, so this was really disappointing. I'm hoping this was an isolated incident, but I wanted to share my experience so the owner can take a closer look at their sanitation and food handling practices. I really hope they address the issue because no customer should have to worry about finding insects in their drink.

Tea-cube Special (5/5) This is a simple, yet, satisfying cup of traditional milk tea. It's made from a black tea base + milk + tea-cube topping. The tea-cube is made from fresh tea then made into a jelly cubes. Super creative, yet delicious. It pairs well with almost any milk tea based drinks. 3. Mango Pomelo Sago (4/5) If you like mangos and like fruity drinks, then this is a good choice. It comes with sago toppings, which pairs well with the drink.
