I did an internet search for holistic dentists because I desperately wanted to get my amalgam fillings out of my mouth. But I wanted it done safely and holistically. I'd gotten silver fillings out before (with a regular dentist) and I remember bits of the filling going to the back of my throat as he was drilling it out. I gagged and probably swallowed some of the hazardous material. All I got from that dentist was, "Sorry about that...want to spit?" Duh. The fillings contain mercury. Yes! So, I wanted someone who could remove the amalgams using a safe technique. Thank you, Yelp, for helping me find Dr. Tomazin. His office is very far from me, but the reviews gave me confidence that Dr. Tomazin was the office I should commit to. I worked with Jennifer (who was great) on the price. I got an appt 6-8 weeks out (because Dr. T's so busy) but there was a cancellation, so she called me to offer it to me. I was elated. I can honestly say that Dr. Tomazin is probably the best dentist I've ever been to...and I've been to a lot of dentists. I have major dental-anxiety, but Dr. Tomazin's silver filling removal was so amazing (and his tech is state-of-the-art,) that I barely felt anything during the procedure. The best part of it all was that he protected my mouth, my face, my other teeth, and my throat. I never gagged on water or bits of filling. He had this rubber "plate" that caught all the excess. Besides keeping my mouth open for the procedure, (which was obviously necessary,) there was no discomfort at all. Also, Dr. Tomazin and his dental assistant, Crystal, were light-hearted, funny, and nice, so the mood overall was pleasant and stress-free. I also felt confident thathe replaced the fillings with safe material - another reason why I chose him and not a bargain basement dentist. Dr. Tomazin very easily answered questions I've long had but wasn't able to get answered by other doctors. Even though his office is far from me, I think I will not trust my dental work with anyone else. He is definitely worth the drive. He's great at what he does, he has excellent bedside manner, and he's so honest and only recommends what's necessary. If fixing is not required, he tells you that you can wait. My 12 year old daughter was in so much pain from a infection cause from a cavity and we are so thankful that we found Chad Tomazin. He was so kind, gentle and reassuring. I wish we would have gone to him sooner because he saw something that none of the other dentist we used looked at. My daughter has a very small mouth and it was preventing her adult teeth from coming in. So her baby teeth were being worn down which resulted in them cracking and in her having cavities. He referred her to a really good orthodontist who put expanders in and now she is loosing all her baby teeth. I love how he offers preventative methods also. Instead of telling me I needed a crown like the dentist before him did. He explained how my grinding at night was destroying my teeth and how I would benefit from a night guard instead of getting a crown. He is very thorough in explaining and showing you what is going o. With your teeth. My son has autism and loves going to him as well because he can tell that Chad really does care about his patients. I waited until I'd been into the office a few times to write this review because I wanted to really be sure of my assessment. I put off seeing a dentist for far too long due to past traumas and my own anxiety, but I'm so glad I found Dr. Tomazin and his office. First off, I've been communicating with Ashley at the front desk for my scheduling and insurance info. She's so sweet and easy to work with. Then I saw Crystal and Dr. Tomazin. They both took their time to discuss my issues/fears and what I want to do for my teeth. I never once felt pressured or judged. Dr. Tomazin did such a good job of explaining exactly what he was seeing and why he wants to do each treatment. I didn't feel talked down to or like he was using too much dental jargon for me to follow. Dental work takes a physical and financial toll. It is important to feel like you're part of the process! After that initial appointment I came back for my cleaning with Gemma who is fantastic. Both professional and kind, she also went over what she was doing and why. On top of that she has a gentle touch. Lenore (or Lenora, I'm so sorry that I can't remember her exact name) helped me with my bite guard. Again, calm and patient care. Unfortunately the office is out of network for my insurance but I will continue recieving my treatment there dispite the higher costs because I feel like good care is worth it. If you're someone with any amount of dental anxiety, this is a great place to get your work done! It can take some time to get in for an appointment but I completely understand. If you do good work then you'll be in demand. I don't think I've waited more than a few minutes to be called back once I'm in the office though. There was a little wait after I was in the chair while Dr. Tomazin finished up with another patient, but again, after seeing how much time and effort he put into my appointment I can see why a little waiting is neccessary. I was looking for a good dentist for my children and myself FOREVER. We have already been to Dr. Chad's a few times and I'm so happy and greatful for him and his team. This practice has the best staff! They are all really friendly and helpful. As soon as I walked through the door we were greeted right away by Ashley at the front reception desk with a smile. I honestly loved the open layout of the office. It was clean and very well kept up; starting from the parking lot to the bathroom. Both my children had appointments back-to-back, which was very convenient for me, especially because I'm a single mother. My oldest has autism and I was very skeptical and nervous as to how he would do at the dentist and how the staff would handle him. Dr. Chad and his dental hygienist Gemma helped us out. They were both so patient and gentle with my son and he was so excited and happy about his visit and can't wait until we return. My youngest had his first dental visit with Dr. Chad and Brenda, who were both awesome with him. we also returned for another visit to have a cavity fill done (which I was worried how he would react to) with Dr.Chad and his dental assistant Linda. I was blown away at how good they both were with him. My son didn't even know Dr.Chad used the big needle to numb his mouth....that alone was impressive LOL. Jennifer was a big help in showing me treatment recommendations and explaining the X-rays and photos to me. We checked out with Bianca at the front desk and she was super friendly, she even gave my kids a handful of xylitol lollipops (which help prevent cavities and I know they are pretty pricey). On my last visit to have my teeth cleaned Gemma took good care of me. She is a very nice person and takes her job very professionally. I was introduced to Dr. B when he came into the exam room I found him to be very nice as well. I like the nice service that I get from the moment I enter into the office. Your asked to be seated until who ever is working on you that day comes to escort you to the exam room and when the appointment is over that same person escorts you to make future appointments with one of the staff members at the front desk. The atmosphere in Dr. Chad's office, well, it feels like family. I'm sure that's not an accident! The staff doesn't feel rushed, so they can take the time to get to know their patients. They have been very focused on preventative care, and feel like partners with me in my aim to maintain healthy gums and teeth. Have to sign a waiver right after you get your crowns placed that you are satisfied. Didn't feel any personal concern coming from staff. When doctors are more concerned about politics than your health, you know he is not a good doctor. My dentist doesn't have ozone and this doc refused service as I am another dentist patient. He said to find another doctor who can help me. Do not recommend. Ozone is oxygen, no X Ray needed and no unique treatment protocols for getting oxygen. American doctors' interests are just money, bureaucracies and politics 99% of the time. Dr. Chad is a fine representation of that. read more

I need a whole page for this review. I was looking for a biologic dentist, who took a more holistic, non-toxic approach to dental care. I could have never imagined the comprehensive care I received, from my first visit to Dr. Tomazin's office! I was greeted and checked in by Bianca, who was very pleasant and efficient with my paperwork. Dr. Chad's assistant Linda then greeted me warmly and brought me back to get started. Linda is wonderful!!! She made sincere conversation with me, nothing forced or stiff or rehearsed, like you usually get on a first appt. We actually had wonderful conversation about everything, life! Throughout the conversation, she explained the whole initial consult and what would be happening, and she just made me feel so comfortable. When Dr. Chad came in, he was equally personable and sincerely interested in my whole health, not just dental! He was hilarious, engaging, but very knowledgeable in his field. What blew me away was how detailed he was in explaining every detail of my teeth, mouth ligaments, jaw alignment - I mean, I had NEVER had a dentist (and I'm in my fifties!) explain my x-rays to me like this - or even at all!! Dr. Chad answered all questions, again actually listening to me, and provided options, for future consideration - not pushing products or services on me, at all. It was literally the best dental visit I have ever had. They also took excellent care of my 83 yr old mom :) This is my new dental practice and should be yours too. Dr. Tomazin is an excellent, compassionate, and highly trained dentist. I can speak from personal experience because we have worked together for several years and although I'm no longer in the area, I still hear great things about him. He has continued expanding his holistic and biological dentistry and specializes in safe mercury filling removal. They have always been friendly, professional, accommodating, and at times provided over the top service. My most recent visit was no different. I had my teeth cleaned and examined by Gemma. Dr. Tomazin reviewed my dental X-rays. Great service, as usual! One more thing. I had sleep apnea issues, and was unable to use a cpap. They created a custom made oral device that has been very effective, and greatly mitigated my sleep apnea. It was also mostly covered by my insurance. He is meticulous and conscientious and took the time he needed to make sure my fillings were done perfectly, and smoothed out so my teeth looked natural and so nothing could get "caught" on the fillings which could create more cavities later.
