I had a horrible fear of the dentist so I wasn't ready to have this extraction done by a total stranger lol. Well I'm here to brag on this Dr. he was all the things I was told and more. His staff was amazing the office was so clean and the view from where I was sitting in the procedure room , was so beautiful and tranquil!! I didnt feel a thing and he was finished in no time! After my third trip to urgent care, multiple misdiagnosis and two rounds of antibiotic's, they finally told me to contact my doctor or dentist. I was COMPLETELY clueless as to who I needed to call. At that point, I'd missed a week of work (fortunately, I had plenty of PTO to spare) and I was basically hysterical. I contacted my dentist first thing Monday morning and they referred me to an oral surgeon. Naturally, the oral surgeon accepted my dental insurance but not my medical insurance (they weren't sure if it would cross over to medical). I still made the apt for the next day but started looking for someone who accepted both insurances. I am SO grateful I found this office. Everyone there was incredibly kind and they fit me in that morning. The doctor and was amazing. The woman at the front desk was a saint for getting me in so quickly (kicking myself that I don't remember her name.) I have nothing but praise to sing for this office! Our visits required skill at pulling particularly malignant teeth, bone grafting, and preparing the mouth for implants. A referral to Dr. Jong came with high praise from our own wonderful dentists, Dr. Tomazin and Dr. Kim located in Riverside. They are part of a special circle of dentists in our area who are holistic practitioners. My husband has been a patient of Dr. Jong's for at least a couple of years. Mr. B has the gift of particularly bad genes when it comes to teeth. In each instance, we chose to replace those rascals with an implant. Ripping them out all at once was not in the cards, they chose to demand their own attention one...at...a...friggin...time. So having a trustworthy dentist for each these instances was essential. And now, most recently, it was my turn to visit the good doc after a back molar with an old root canal decided to crack and become infected. I was informed these are the kind of teeth that no dentist wants to address unless they are specialized. Enter Dr. Jong. His spacious, impeccable office has a calming vibe and his staff are delightful. More importantly, he pays close attention to make sure that you will feel no pain during the process. Unlike the commercials I see these days that promise you brand new implants in one, yes ONE day (not sure how that goes), this process promises to be a test in patience. Mine required multiple visits starting with x-rays from 3 specialists before they decided this tooth was a real loser, followed by subsequent visits for the extraction and bone grafting, another for stitch removal, then waiting 4-5 months for the graft to take and the gum to heal. Then Dr. Jong does the actual implant process. The last tah dah is my personal dentist who performs the final crown fitting and installation. So there you have it. A glorious way for me to support the dental community and keep enjoying eating steak, not pablum, in my old age. Bottom line. Dr. Jong is excellent and comes highly recommended by me and my dentist.

I just had 2 small cavities taken care of yesterday and I went in there with such ease knowing I was in good hands based on my previous experience with Dr. Akkari. Once again, the whole process was completely pain free and I was out of there in less than an hour (the procedure itself was at most 15 minutes). Also, I cant understand why there are a few negative reviews about their receptionists. Rita has always been super sweet & I can't remember the other ladies name but they have always been super polite and helpful with scheduling, rescheduling, checking in & helping me get a referral to an oral surgeon. And as always, his dental assistants are kind & gentle as well.

Unfortunately, in addition to my teeth and jaw, I suffered a shattered hip and both knees. I have to transport via ambulance on a gurney. I waited months for this appointment because the surgeon's office was vandalized and my appointment was moved. When I arrived to a crowded waiting room, one of the ladies at the front desk looked at me and said they would not see me because the gurney. The EMTs said the can collapse the gurney and make it smaller or slide me into their chair, but she refused to even try. She stated that I needed to be able to stand for the x-rays. I asked the woman were wheelchairs accommodated and she said yes, but not me. Again, the EMTs said they could collapse the gurney so it could fit, but she refused and went on to help another patient with that interrupted our dialogue to discuss her appointment. I began to cry because it hurts so bad to be transported, but I pushed it because my teeth hurt so badly. To be dismissed so carelessly and embarrassed as my information is being said in a crowded waiting room with everyone starring is nothing short of humiliating and completely unprofessional. They didn't even try to accommodate me no matter what the EMTs and I said. The doctor even saw me and allowed this to take place and starred as I cried and was loaded back in the ambulance. People don't understand how revictimizing it is to be dismissed in such a heartless way as the whole office is listening to my personal information. Then to have the doctor come outside and just watch me be loaded back into the ambulance while crying what kind of people do that. I'm in so much pain and then it is hard to get up the courage to even go outside after what happened to me. All to be discriminated and humiliated by a doctor and his staff in a crowded office.
