I would not recommend this dental place for fillings. The doctor can't remember his name, but he was in a rush to do my fillings. My previous fillings had texture and my new ones don't. I can tell he rushed because as soon as he finished. He didn't say anything, just walked away. I can tell he was frustrated because he was having a hard time with some of the fillings. The doctors also didn't leave enough space between the filling for me to floss my teeth!! I can't floss without the floss string ripping! Also, after my fillings, my teeth were hurting for a couple weeks! He dug too deep into my molar to where I had to make an appointment at another dentist to fix there mistakes!! Due 2 rare autoimmune disease i cannot tolerate a deep cleaning .my jaws swell and are easily infected. I just wanted a light cleaning. I was told that they will not do what I want but what I need with no regard to my diagnosis. Basically my way or the highway per Dr .so I did mention this to assistant but was told the Dr will go over everything with me. Lmao wouldn't take my dog there! read more

There are 2 Dr Mai both brothers and a new female dentist who is pretty cool. I've been working with Dr Truc for many years but just so happen to reschedule my appt. I ended up with the other brother Dr Hieu, didn't know what to expect but what a big difference. I would avoid Dr Hieu, no bedside manners at all in addition, he is not gentle and seems to be in a rush. At one point he got too close and his belly was rubbing all over my head. I'm sure all the negative comments were about Dr Hieu. Avoid if possible. read more

The bedside manner was pretty bad here. I came in to get a temporary filling or a new filling because I was on vacation and my filling came out. The dentist did not even look at my x-ray and instead poked the inside of my tooth (which was sensitive because the filling had just come out) and said that because I was feeling sensitive that I would need a root canal. He also claimed that they don't normally do fillings in the side of teeth because they will fall out, so I would need a crown (which a Google search told me otherwise). He was very demanding that I make a decision on whether or not to do it like right then and there and was very overwhelming. Once I told him I was just on vacation he back-pedaled and said he could do the filling. At this point I didn't trust him and left. I've now gotten two opinions from my local dentist who both said that there was no need for a root canal at all, and a crown was excessive. Rather they recommended I get a new filling and a night guard (so that I stop chipping my teeth at night). Both of which are covered by my insurance. If they recommend something outside your insurance I would get a second opinion! read more

Love the staff at this dentist office. Have been coming here for almost 4 years and would recommend anyone to visit this office. I can come to my appointments on my lunch hour and be back at work. The front desk staff is very attentive and professional. They are very good about answering any questions and providing great information you need regarding any treatment plans. The doctors at this office are very knowledgeable and professional. Came in the first time with a tooth ache and they address the issue right away. The hygienist are one of the best, I have ever had. They are very detailed to making sure you know what can help avoid future dental issues. I would recommend looking into Invisalign treatment. Great service! I was searching for a new dentist for months and I was not disappointed with my choice! I left my previous dentist because I went in as a new patient and they told me I needed a deep cleaning, new fillings and many other things which totaled to around $800. After reading the many yelp reviews I decided to give this office a try and went in for my first appointment last week. Let me tell you the service was friendly and honest Dr. Truc took a look at my images and said there were no problems and just needed my routine clean-up. When asked if I needed any of the above services he said no everything look good and this made me feel very comfortable because they didn't add any unnecessary services, which is exactly what I was looking for!! PS: The only thing I didn't like is the receptionist told me they would be adding a $25 treatment to my teeth after my cleaning and I agreed to it and at the end of my cleaning I asked my dental hygienist if she did the treatment and she was surprised because no one told her I was going to get it done. So miscommunication happened somewhere so I suggest to ask your hygienist for any services you agreed to prior. read more

Be careful if you go here, they will try to scare you into thinking you need a ton of work when you don't. He said my mouth was full of cavities and chastised me into thinking I was some disgusting person. He wanted 2 follow-on visits just to deep clean my teeth, too. I went to another dentist and he said that I only had one cavity and filled it during that same visit. The office is fancy with lots of new equipment, so I guess they have to pay for that somehow. read more

I was recommended to come here by two fellow coworkers. At first, everything ran smoothly. The hygienist here do an amazing job! They clean teeth throughly. The 2 star review comes from the lack of communication from the office staff amongst each other and with patient and lack of communication between patient and doctor. During my third cleaning, I was told by the dentist that I would need a crown. I was scheduled to come back in the following day. This was my first crown. I wear retainers at night and the doctor did not even ask me if I did. After getting my crown, I came home that night to find out that my retainers no longer fit my mouth. I called the office, they said to come in and the dentist will try to help. Well, he tried to make the wiring from my retainer fit around my teeth, but no luck. I appreciate the effort. I then asked, how much a retainer would cost and was told it would cost around $300 with insurance coverage. I asked for a discount of some kind being that I was not aware that this would happen- and now I have accrued $300 fee. I was told "No, sorry." I still need to buy a retainer, but I refuse to buy it from them. Lastly, my husband was told to go to a specialist to take out his wisdom teeth and they sent him to a specialist that wasn't covered by his insurance, so we had to pay $75 out of pocket consultation fee when it should have been $0. And the surgery was going to cost $200. I then called and spoke to the office manager asking why they sent him to a place that was not covered by his insurance. They apologized and he sent him to get his surgery done with a specialist who was covered by his insurance which cost $0. I was obviously upset and kindly asked if they would cover the cost of the initial consultation ($75) since it should have cost $0 if he were sent to the right place. They declined. I cancelled all future appointments and no longer go here. If you are studious about checking your insurance coverage and benefits, go here. If not, I would advise to go somewhere else. read more

I love this dental office! I trust these doctors with all my treatment and the hygienists with my cleanings! The doctors are very conservative with their treatment but make sure to diagnose only what is needed and believe is best for you overall. Great examples would be observing certain teeth before drilling into a good part of the tooth just to remove small decay. They gave their professional opinion and advised all my options before proceeding. The front office staff does a great job at looking into your insurance and making sure to check what is covered. They also are super friendly and willing to answer all your questions or calls. First timer here! & my husband & I loved it!! Walked into to everyone welcoming us, signed in and was seen within a few mins. My 2 yo son (first dental visit) got to play in their play area while I signed all our paperwork. He loved it!! There was books, toys, television, and all kinds of toys for all ages. My son got seen first, and he did pretty good. She took some pictures of my son and then had the dentist come in and take a look. They were patient and very friendly with him, so he did great! They gave him a toothbrush activity kit & a toy from the treasure box. I got an exam & cleaning done. The dentist was great, he walked me through everything and explained everything to me & gave me recommendations & a treatment plan. They have a tv in the ceiling so you can be entertained while getting your teeth worked on. They even gave me a warm towel to wipe my face at the end. My husband has a similar experience he said it was great, and he's glad I picked this dentist. We are already scheduled for our next visit. read more

I hate going to the dentist. Not because of the pain or procedures or anything like that. I hate it because it always was like buying a car from a used car lot... High pressure sales to get that better crown or filling or cleaning. But not here. The reception team was great. They got all of the information they needed quickly and got me back to the chair very quickly. The Assistant took my x-rays and got everything setup quickly and efficiently and the doctor came in, reviewed everything, explained what he'd like to do very clearly and then did exactly that. No trying to add extra services, or upsell a new model, gold-lined crown or anything ridiculous. Overall it was a great experience. The best Dental place I've been to! These doctors are honest, respectful, and know what there doing. Recently I switched dentists bc of the overpriced services and sketchy practices. Other dentists tell you to wait for your cavities to grow so they can charge you more later, this dentist doesn't. They care for your teeth. They explain the problem perfectly with the diagrams they have and show u how they plan to fix it. The front staff is always nice and accommodating, appointments are no issue. I picked going to this dental office based on reviews so I made a appointment for a cleaning and X-ray. The dentist I saw had no personality and didn't seem to look for the reason my tooth was hurting and jumped to saying I need a root canal. I asked for my teeth to be cleaned which my insurance covers and the hygienist refused to do it and said I need a deep clean and would cost which I said I would do another time but for time being I wanted a regular cleaning and they would not do it. I've never been told I can't have a cleaning that my insurance covers. To me they want to jump straight to deep clean to get cash out of me. I have switched dentist and they said I don't need a root canal I just had some debris in my gum which they cleaned out. I'm glad I have found another dental office. read more

I have had terrible experiences with dentists and was traumatized when I was a child, so there's always some slight fear of going to one to get a check up. But, I was referred to Dr. Truc Mai by a friend and I would have to say that this was the best visit I've ever had. Since I've not gotten checked up in years, Dr. Mai had informed me that I would need deep cleaning and had 7 cavities that would need fillings. His knowledge and ability to explain the process to me was very professional and easy to understand. I also have this fear of having needles in my mouth and was worried about the numbing process and thought that it would be really painful, but Dr. Truc administered this topical numbing medication that allowed him to inject more medicine into my gums before cleaning. I was pleasantly surprised because none of hurt and I was really happy about that. He finished filling all 7 cavities within 1.5 hours and was quite amazed. After Dr. Truc finished, his friendly and attention staff helped me with cleaning and rinsing my mouth as well as processing all my insurance and paperwork. Overall, I am very grateful and thankful to have such great service from Dr. Truc Mai and his dental staff. The facility is beautiful and very welcoming the staff is courteous and helpful. Their technology is top drawer. I don't feel I got the help I was seeking when I left. The doctor made me feel foolish because I didn't know how the mouth worked and that the old fillings I have that weren't the problem were coming out. A lot of very positive things but unless you had a lot of cash to purchase veneers and implants I'm torn if I will be going back. Fabulous!! My experience was top of the line from the moment I made the appointment. The text reminder for my appointment a few days before was great. I am busy. It was nice to have a quick reminder. The minute I stepped in they took me right back. Zero wait time! HUGE PLUS! The initial sign up sheets were electronic, super easy. They took me back and started x-rays. OMG What? I massage chair during treatment? You're kidding me! How awesome is that!! They also provided sun glasses so the light didn't shine in my eyes. So fancy! Dr. Truc was so gentle and patient. I haven't been to the dentist in a ridiculous amount of time. And if you hate the dentist, you know that it is half about the pain, and half about the ridicule. I know I should be getting regular cleaning, but sometimes my anxiety gets the best of me. This place is amazing, I felt no judgement even when they came back with a long list of procedures I needed to have done. They were open, honest and upfront and I never felt like I was being shamed, which is a big deal when you're coming back after a long hiatus. I had a deep cleaning that had to be done in two separate visits and each time I came back I was greeted with warm smiles. I still had a long way to go in my teeth journey but I'm glad I found the right dentist office. read more

I have not even been to this dentist yet and already I've had a very negative experience. I get a call today, 9/29 advising that my appointment for 10/5 has to be rescheduled due to the doctor having a class. my appointment was made several weeks ago and yet I am still just now being notified. I am very busy at my work and had to go out of my way to get the time off in order to make that appointment and now I have to go through that process again in order to make an appt on on 10/10 (which I assume will be rescheduled yet again). First off, WOW! As someone who has had some bad experiences with dentist growing up and into his adult life, let me say this place put all my fears away. From the moment you walk in, you are at ease. It does not smell like a dentist's office. It smells like a welcoming home. The staff is so friendly, patient, and willing to explain every single thing about what is going on. They are very observant about your comfort and needs. From beginning to end, this place is top notch. Even when discussing the financial end. I was allowed to ask thorough questions, got great answers and advice. Before this, I often felt very pressured and treated as if I didn't know anything, wherever I went. Not here! Wow I found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try bc it so highly recommended and they were not kidding this place is amazing I walked in and it was so luxurious not like a normal dental place you felt comfortable here you really did feel like you were at a spa and they saw me right away which was amazing no wait time. Mind you I had not been to the dentist in 10 years bc I had such horrible experiences at previous places I never wanted to go . They recommended a deep cleaning which I already expected, my hygienist I had her name is Bri and she is so sweet and patient with me bc she knew I was nervous I felt absolutely no pain when I got shots for the numbing and when they starting cleaning I actually started to fall asleep it was somewhat soothing. The procedure cost 260 with my insurance coverage I felt that price was most deff reasonable All in all I can not wait to go back their whole staff is very helpful and kind! read more

This place is great! I was referred by a co-worker of mine. It was my first check up in years. My wisdom teeth are starting to poke through my gums so I knew I needed to get in. From the beginning the front office was so nice and fast! After I was done with my new patient paperwork they had me wait in the theater room where there was a huge tv and 2 massage chairs! Let me tell you, those massage chairs are amazing! The back office was just as sweet as the front! They took my x-rays and answered any questions I had! The Dr was so helpful. The most amazing staff and dentists around. They use state of the art equipment and truly embody the "spa" environment. The seats have back massagers in place, you get to watch your favorite television show while you get worked on by Dr. Hieu or Dr. Truc, and they end the whole thing with a warm towel for your face. I was referred to Riverwalk Dental Spa by my friend. I had not been able to find a dentist that I really loved until I came across Riverwalk Dental Spa. When I came in the staff was really friendly and provided me with all the information I needed and scheduling of my appointments. I was seen yesterday for a deep cleaning and let me tell you I felt super tense because I am scared of the dentist but they made me feel really comfortable and I had no pain at all!!!
