Tres leches choco cake
Samantha C.

How has this place has been here since 2003 and I'm just now discovering it is beyond me. My parents asked for a gift card there for the holidays, and that was the introduction. When friends came in for a family function, it was planned that we go here. I jumped at the opportunity. Thursday's are Latin night and that's when they have a special pre-fixe menu. This is IN ADDITION to their every day pre-fixe menu. And it's worth stating that for the prices and what you get, it's well worth getting as it come with an app, a main course and a dessert. There are some up charges but it depends what you order. The food was very good from my burrata starter (the pepper jam almost made it too sweet but what a nice touch) to my half roasted chicken and finally the tres leches choco cake which Bubs ate half of. Speaking of, the kids chicken fingers are no joke and we all watched him eat them with a moment of jealousy until our food came out. The fries were hand cut and amazing. We were seated in a semi private area that was half booth and half free standing chairs. It fit our party of 9 perfectly. This made for a great experience and a great reunion with my out of town peeps.

I came here with a friend. We didn't stay long. We went to the bar and had an app and a mocktail. I had the oyster Rubio, which was good with the plaintain fufu. The background music and lighting were very low--a good place for conversation. The bartender was friendly and patient waiting for our selection. The owner is also the chef and has a nice menu of food items to select from.

We went here earlier this week for my wife's birthday. It is located within a strip mall with open parking. Given the strip mall parking and the huge ChaChama Grill letters in bright white neon color, I wasn't sure what I am expecting walking in. Luckily all that faded away as walking in, it is a small quaint little place with dark interior walls but you know what, it has a very cozy feel. The place was elegant looking and great for either a decent size party or for an intimate date meal. We opted for the price fixed menu at $58 per person. My wife ordered the crab cake while I got the mussel for appetizer. Both these dishes knocked our socks off. The mussel was tremendously huge and fresh. My wife's crabcake was perfectly cooked and temperature wise hot. For main, I got the pan seared Chilean sea bass while she got the pan seared scallops. She really enjoyed the scallops which came with roasted spaghetti squash. The presentation of these dishes along with the taste were amazing and compliments to the chef. For dessert, I got the chocolate cake with scoop of vanilla ice cream while she got the creme brulee. Again, these were all hits. Extremely impressed with this place and I will give it a coveted 5 stars based on this visit. There are other theme specials such as Thur night is Latin food special.

The food tastes so good! From the outside, you wouldn't think much of it. It's in But once you get in and seated, you'd love it. The food tastes so fresh and tasty. I typically go for the seafood dishes. I will come back here over and over again.

Always a great experience here. Lots of parking, the service is attentive, the atmosphere is very nice, lights are dimmed just enough, tablecloths, and a very well-dressed staff. The food... There's something for everyone, and everything we've had here is great.

Crab cake app! Soo tasty!

My first 2 visited here I was obsessed!!!! I should have known it was a completely different experience when I ate the complimentary bread and I could tell immediately it wasn't fresh. Came back last night... ordered the burrata and the crab cake. For some reason there was NO balsamic reduction on the burrata. This was disappointing since the balsamic gives it such a sweet yummy delicious flavor. 2/5 My boyfriend ordered the jalapeño cucumber margarita (this was TOP NOTCH last two visits) but yesterday it was incredibly spicy and tasted like my esophagus was on fire. Way too much jalapeño and barely much cucumber. For $14 it was a disappointment 2/5 Lamb chops were okay, not as juicy and flavorful as I was used to. I must say after visiting last night on a date with my boyfriend, I was overall disappointed in the food and drinks.

Stuffed Oven-Roasted Mini Pumpkin The quail inside is meaty and tender
Gail B.

This gourmet restaurant is easy to find, and it is also in a shopping center that is plentiful with parking spaces. Around 7p, I sat at the bar, which had no TV, but I am not complaining because I liked the lively, talkative crowd seated there. We had good conversation. The hospitable bartender, Orlinda, handed me a creative, yet affordable menu that includes appetizers such as duck empanadas, stuffed oven-roasted mini pumpkin (quail-pumpkin-mushroom-cheese risotto), tuna ceviche, burrata (crispy eggplant, pepper jam and balsamic reduction), and Hudson Valley Foie Gras. Prices range from $10 to $21. The real bargain is the $40 price-fix menu that includes any appetizer, entree and dessert. Entree choices are many items that are pan-seared. Examples: pan-seared yellowfin tuna, pan-seared duck breast, pan-seared shrimp, pan-seared scallops, and pan-seared Spanish octopus. Prices range from $23 to $40. I did the price-fix option and ordered the mini pumpkin appetizer and the duck entree. The pumpkin was outstanding in every way especially the surprisingly large, meaty pan-seared piece of quail inside. Most quails that I have tasted in other restau are usually bony. The duck was delicious, but I had to salt it because it was bland; however, I find that duck usually comes out bland no matter how long it is seasoned in advance. Dessert was fabulous. I had the hot rice pudding, made from raisins, cinnamon and condensed milk. Usually I do not order rice pudding when I dine out because I can get that anywhere. I wanted to order the pumpkin bread pudding that comes with pumpkin ice cream and creme anglaise sauce, but bar regulars convinced me to order the pudding, and I have no regrets because it was divine To drink, I had a club soda with Angostura's Bitters. The charge was a pricey $3.95. The bill came out to $47.74 including tax. Not bad for a gourmet meal after work on a weekday at the bar.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, we all left hungry because the portions were extremely small. We will not return.

Off…read morethe get go, customer service was great and offered a coat check free of charge for my jacket and umbrella since it was raining, definitely helped make it feel just a touch more upscale than your usual restaurant. Our wait staff was nothing but kind and patient with our moderately large party and checked up on us without being overbearing. Ambiance is very cool, and definitely leans into its classic and nostalgic feel of its name, but not in a campy way. If you bring a date here, they would be impressed by the nice tile and wooden features alone, but it's the food that is really going to blow them away, but we will get to that next. The menu and cocktails do rotate seasonally a bit, so your experience may vary on availability for some items, but if you come back often enough (and spoiler, you will want to), you'll see them comeback! We started with Caesar salad, calamari, and Korean fried wings with the easy standout being the fried wings, a bit spicy but delicious but buyer beware they are messy (don't worry though, they give you moist towelettes to clean yourself off), calamari was cooked exactly how it needed to be and not rubbery, and the Caesar salad was as good as I've had it anywhere (although there's was made with tahini, giving it a little sesame flair). For mains, we had a pesto pasta, steak frites with an au poivre sauce, with sides of jersey asparagus and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked just right and I'd dip almost anything in that sauce, and the pesto pasta was a nice lighter and herby balance to the meal. Fries were perfectly crisp shoestring style and the other end of the potato spectrum was the delightfully smooth mashed potatoes and gravy. Asparagus has always been my favorite green, and adding a cream sauce with bacon only makes this version of it that much more enticing. Capping off with dessert, we had the chocolate Basque cheesecake, a brown sugar pie, and a pistachio cake. Choosing a favorite out of these is like choosing a favorite child I'm sure, but I am still craving more of that cheesecake, RUN do not walk to get that at the very least. Parking can be crazy in patchogue, there is a small attached lot and some street parking, but I'd advise using one of the municipal lots nearby and walking a little bit for your own sanity. One of my favorite dining experiences in patchogue to date, and will be happy to comeback here to try more of the menu for any occasion!

I've come here a couple times, mostly for happy hour since they have great specials on drinks and food during that time (a Sunday happy hour?? sign me up)! There's a rotating list of cocktails as well as the staples. Last time I got a potato chip martini of sorts, because why not, and it was actually super tasty! Brunch is also a good time to come with a limited menu so you're not overwhelmed with a little of everything on it. I tried the salmon caesear salad which was light with a nice dressing. We also tried the pancakes which were fluffy and delicious, as well as the steak and eggs (can't go wrong). Bottomless mimosas are also offered for $25 additional. I can't wait to do lunch/dinner here in the future.

On top of that, my damn car decided to up and die, so I've been bleeding money on Ubers just to get to and from work. I even had to go into work on my day off just to sit around waiting for the tow truck so they could junk it. Love that for me. After I handled business with the junkers, I said eff it and headed to Whiskey Neat. I was starving--no breakfast, running on fumes--and since my job's in Patchogue, I figured I'd finally try them for lunch. First of all... happy hour on a Saturday from 12-6?! Uhhh hello?? In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. Love me some Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Mixed with some Motown and Bob Marley. Made me remember the good old days.

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.
