I met my niece at Ceviche 6 Nine Peruvian for lunch. They are in a small corner plaza with a small parking lot. We came near opening and the air was super stuffy and musky smelling. Not very appetizing. Also I noticed some trash like straw paper under the table. There was no one there before me so they must not have swept before closing the night before. The tables were also sticky, and the overall interior was dated. No other customers came the whole time we were there during peak lunch time. My niece and I decided to share the Leche de Tigre ($21.99) and a Lomo Saltado ($19.99). The food came out in a decent amount of time. The leche de tigre was decent but the chips it came with were stale and insufficient in ratio of how much leche de tigre there was. The portion size was more than what we wanted to eat. The menu showed they used to have a smaller size and that would have been better for us. The lomo saltado is the most disappointing of all. This is typically a Peruvian restaurant main dish so I wanted my niece to try it, but this was such a bad first impression of Peruvian cuisine. The beef was tough and the flavor was forgettable. Came in on a Sunday and it wasn't very busy. I decided to dine in after reading reviews about the long wait times for phone orders, but I still ended up waiting over an hour for my food. When it finally arrived, the portions were very small, the food was mediocre, and the fried items were served cold. I paid over $50 for two plates and one drink, and it definitely wasn't worth it. Came to get my Peruvian fix, and found the previous restaurant has been renovated. Menu is still Peruvian, with all the main staples. Got our lomo Saltado & Chaufa (Peruvian fried rice). The Lomo Saltado weekday lunch special is now $15.99, so come by weekdays 11 AM - 3 PM. Comes with an appetizer and a soda can. Looked it up, the app was Papa a la Huancaina, steamed potato sliced and covered with a mild yellow cheese sauce topped with quarter hard boiled egg, parsley and piece of baby romaine. They have a few other options for lunch specials, like Chaufa de Pollo, Tallarin Saltado de Mariscos, & Aji de Gallina. I didn't ask pricing but assuming $1-2 cheaper with a soda can. We've been here a few times to dine in and order take out. The food and flavors were always delicious, which is why we returned but the last two visits have been disappointing. Last week we order takeout online, upon going to pick it up, apparently they lost power so they refunded us. Fair, things happen so we just got the kids other food. Today we decided to give them another try. Ordered over an hour ahead. Lady on the phone even repeated our order to confirm. We get there. They gave us a soup order instead of the rice we ordered. Took another 10-15 mins to "fix" the order. We finally get the food and head home just to find they messed up the entire order and gave us some other dish instead of our pasta as well and forgot our sauce. My husband had to drive back to have them correct their error again. No real attempt to compensate for the trouble they caused their customers. I was craving some Perúvian food and ordered the yellow tallarín (huacaina) and it was delicious!!! 5 stars..... only thing I didn't like was the green sauce they give you on the side was only filled half way. It's just as expensive as the other places around as their prices increased from menu on yelp but you get less protein than other restaurants. There were probably six pieces of meat in my Lomo with a TON of fries. The flavor was also underwhelming as it lacked something. It wasn't as flavorful as other places and was very greasy.
