    Torta Ahogada

Second time to this establishment and it has not disappointed, service is very friendly and humble. The food has been on point feels like home made cooking

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING the food is so incredibly good and the service is excellent c: Definitely order the torta and the tacos barbacoa are really good too

    Beautiful

The food is amazing here. I've tried almost everything and so far everything is really good. Good representation of Jalisco style Mexican food.

    Torta mixta.

Lady sat us down, but never brought us menus. We looked at the menu online and still took them about 15 minutes to come to the table. Finally placed our order and the mine came out wrong. The potato tacos were not good. The potato was hard and bland. Server checked on us a minute after our order came, but we didn't see her until we finished out entrees. Someone finally came by, so we ordered some churros with ice cream. They packed them to go, so I told the lady they were for here and if she could bring us utensils. However, the churros were cold, so I had to return them. My friend never got a refill on his drink even after putting his glass at the end of the table. We saw the server checking in with the table behind us, but they never made it to the back with us. They did however check on the 2 guys ordering beer because they got at least 3 beers each. For a restaurant with 7 tables and 2 servers this was by far the worst and slowest service I've received. I will never be returning.

The torta ahogada was good. I liked the fact that they add a good amount of meat to them. Definitely not stingy with it. I really enjoyed the fact that they have the bottle of both the salsa and the chile in the table to add more to your liking. I do wish the torta was warmer when they serve it though.

Overall, Pop's Cafe is a solid, reliable breakfast spot that we keep coming back to.

Our server was really attentive and checked in frequently at first but was less attentive during the meal itself (e.g. no water or coffee refills). The food is okay- what youd expect from a diner. The meal started off with some warm and fresh conchas, which set the the tone for a meal. But the meal itself tasted like it was made from pre-made or canned sauces, so it was a little disappointing because of the tone that was set with the complimentary conchas.

Once we were ready she had our table already prepared. We have to order inside first before you can be seated. Once seated our food came out not too long after. Everything looked and tasted delicious! We ordered the chilaquiles verde, short rib omelette, tropical pancakes (seasonal), and the mango curd french toast (seasonal). The chilaquiles verde was savory and tangy. It wasn't soggy at all and definitely one of my favorite dishes. The short rib omelette was savory but didn't give me any wow factor compared to the other dishes I ordered. The tropical pancakes were so pretty. I only tried a piece of it without the syrup which I think was a mistake because the kumquat syrup was my friend's favorite. I definitely need to try it again with the syrup. Best for last, mango curd French toast was my favorite! I fell in love with sweetness and tanginess of the mango curd. The French toast was soft and you can taste the butter. I wish it was a main menu item. I'll definitely be sad to see it go. They have lots of seating inside and outside.
