She was so friendly, kind and accommodating. It was prime time lunch time but we didnt have to wait around. Our dishes were outstanding i ordered the molcajete and it totally exceeded my expectations. Portions are generous. Every side is freshly made not canned not pre made; as well as the aguas frescas. My lemonade was refreshing and well made. Needless to mention their sauces....so yummy. Prices are reasonable. My toddler absolutely LOVES them and they're vegan friendly! What my dad loved more than the food were the workers. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. We go so much that the employees know us by name! I can call to place an order and they recognize my voice and know our usual order. Shoutout Julie! She's always so accommodating and is always on the move. Everyone's a hard worker there but Julie stands out the most. The restaurant itself is a pretty good size. I will say, weekends, it can get pretty packed so come early ish to ensure you get a table. They have their own parking lot too. There were some changes after COVID...some downsizing of the menu and staff. At times they can be a bit slow but that's merely on the amount of staff members they have. They're always working so hard to ensure items are coming out fast so we never mind it. The ambiance is pretty laidback and chill. Overall, Zavala's will remain one of our go to places for more years to come. I 100% recommend this place.
