Moved out of area before Covid-19 and just had to retry again since I was back in town. This use to be a weekly go to for the outstanding burritos soft tacos, the Al pastor and carne meat was out of this world. So I tried my usual carne burrito no rice and soft taco Al pastor. I'm allergic to MSG after I ate it I felt like MSG was added to it I don't know if the cook added MSG that day , everything seemed different. And I did notice a new cook. Came back to town on 2/2/26 and tried them again This time it was bland more dry beans then carne And Al pastor taco and sauces seem to be again different This time not MSG but not tasty , not spicy , meat was dry and not moist. Will I return to my little gem hole in the wall that I liked so very much at one point in my life ? Sadly not a chance.. my search continues for Mexican food. read more

Hadn't been here in forever . Decided to give it a try , I chose the asada torta. Their was no price on the menu for it but I figured it won't be more there 12 buck. The torta ended up being 16.85. Told by a local that if I wanted something over the top and delicious that I needed to come here and have their Super Wet burrito. It's a small place with enough room to order and wait to go for a group of 6. Eye sight directly into the kitchen so you can see them make you your order. I spent most of my childhood and early adulthood in Downey - I purchased a home in 2020 in La Habra and cannot express how much I miss this place. I honestly used to eat here at least once or twice a week. The food here is so good and tastes so authentic! The same women who ran this establishment 15 years ago are still here as well as a few of the cooks. The service is amazing. Although it's a super small spot with minimal seating, it's honestly some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. The food was very, very greasy. It gave me a stomach ache for two days. Literally, how hard is it to make enchiladas? You can literally see the oil separate from the sauce. And I didn't like the beans either, tasted like Juanita's canned beans. Their parking lot is small and it's hard to find parking. You're better off parking off the street. Also their chips are gross as well. You can taste the crappy oil in each bite! read more

The customer service here is excellent! The beans are super delicious, heck everything was super delicious! I passed by this restaurant so many times not knowing it was there until today, when a coworker told me about it. The food was so good that I wanna go back again tomorrow... Lol. So far I have really liked their asada burrito which is the only thing I've tried. I really wanted their number 26, red Chile Rojo de Res burrito but they said they were out of it. Next time I want to try their steak picado. Yummy! I really liked their green salsa, I definitely recommend it. For sure I am coming back to order more variety. If there was a zero star I would rate it Zero. The beans taste rancid and they gave us some slimy rotten lemons. On top of that the service was bad, the women who we asked to give us more lemon before finding out they were slimy gave us attitude. Like it was too much for her to give us more lemon. I have been to this place about a handful of times. It's located fairly close to my home. Don't visit too often since there are better selections of Mexican food in the city as well as surrounding cities. Visited this location on a Sunday morning and ordered two bacon breakfast burrito's. Requested to substitute the eggs for beans. Family does not eat eggs. The lady worker was accommodating. Total came out to a little over $20. The burrito was good, it's smaller than others meaning less beans, potatoes and very little bacon inside, it's wrapped more in tortilla. I then visited the location about two-three weeks later for the same exact order. The same lady worker now wanted to charge me $30+. I had mentioned to her that a few weeks earlier that she had only charged me around $20 and now she's charging $30+. Her reasoning is that it's a "custom" breakfast burrito. Beans definitely do not cost more than eggs! Even after explaining she still wanted to charge me the higher price. So, my family and I decided just to leave and get breakfast elsewhere. Ever since high school this is always been the place to explore for your munchies cravings. Call in your order we would all just sit in the car and wait. Rock paper scissors who's going in to get the food. I used to love their little tacos Asada yummy .I haven't been back since I stopped eating meat but I figured I can always find something to eat with Mexican food. Beans and rice and I'm good. This place was Awesome, just like I remembered it from 28 years ago. I would go to this place about 2,3 times a week, since I turned out in Paramount. The food is freshly made. I dug into my food soooo fast, I totally forgot to take pix. I had the Al Pastor Torta with an Agua Jamaica. My friend had the menudo. That too was Awesome. Prior to dressing it up, I took a spoonful of it & it had a great taste just be plain like that. He added all the fixings, cilantro, onion, lemon, oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes. I told her charge what you need to charge and she said one more couldn't hurt. On the burrito: I have been craving this since my last trip to Texas and it delivered. Huge and cheesy and flavorful. However, I forgot to ask if they can make it a wet burrito so next time, I'll remember that It's a hole in the wall place, no frills and togo only.
