Oooo I've had this place bookmarked since before I even moved to Tucson so I knew this would be a must try spot once we finally made the move over here. It felt like kismet after we finished up an event at TMA and I searched my Tucson collection and saw we were just a few steps away from Ceres. First impressions: so cute! I mean, this whole area is but I loved the whole concept of the literal hole in the wall pasta spot. Even though they don't have an interior seating area, they don't leave you to fend for yourself, there's plenty of picnic tables and benches around to enjoy your meal. The menu goes like this: choose your sauce, choose your noodle, add protein as desired. I went with the tomato basil with bucatini and my husband had the bolognese with bucatini. Everything was very fresh, including the pasta. We were too stuffed to try the gelato but this is definitely on the agenda for our next visit. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for authentic pasta.

Friendly service, great food, plenty of seating and a miniature Ceres play house. It's a very community friendly restaurant with water and cups available.

Ceres is absolutely worth the hype! It's on a block downtown with no cars and has only outdoor seating. The cute walk up window is easy to order at and is surrounded by nearly a dozen shops and art galleries. The handmade pasta and sauce is truly delightful. Everything is well balanced and made with care. The gelato flavors rotate every week, this visit we tried the earl grey which was killer! A wonderful downtown gem

Yum had a great Caprese sandwich and tea. It was nice and fresh with lots of mozzarella, they have a veggie one and one with salami. It is a nice little spot next. They have coffees and cold brews too.

Service was friendly. They move the line at a decent speed but expect to wait. It's a hoppin place! Love the outdoor seating and set up. I can't image how hot it might get during peak heat season. The soft serve is delicious. Not too sweet and a good portion. I got the kid size and it was perfect. Pasta is very fresh and you can tell in the texture it gives. It was overly sauced and oiled though which is why i took a star off. It was a bit over the top on cheese and oil! Portions were good and the price is right. One bathroom that shares the whole space with other locations. It was fairly clean for the given space. Glad I came here and checked it out!

I seemed to never be able to make it to Ceres while they are open, but my schedule has changed this year and I have now tried it two times for lunch! I was lucky enough to try their ravioli made with a beet-infused dough, filled with tarragon, lemon zest, ricotta, and mascarpone, which was a special the week of Valentine's Day. It was amazing. I will dream about this dish haha.

Great pasta and desserts with a convenient order-at-the-window setup. Outdoor seating makes it a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

I have been eyeing Ceres for the longest time and finally got the chance to come by. We saw they had a Thai inspired pasta special and Thai flavor gelatos, so it was the perfect time to try it out. When we got there around 7 (open 5-9 currently) there was a decent line but I think it moves fairly quickly since you just order at the window and wait on the side for your order to be called. The tagliatelle was already sold out by the time we got to the window so I got the special pasta cut with the bolognese and my husband for the special which was with a Thai peanut sauce. I loved the pastas, both had the perfect bite. The sauces were good. There was a good amount of the Thai sauce, but I wish there was more bolognese. We ordered the gelatos to go, so we just brought back the receipt to the door when we finished our pasta. The gelatos were DELICIOUS! My husband and I loved both of them but agreed that the sticky rice was the best and truly tasted like the authentic Thai desert, just missing some fresh chunks of sweet mango. There was construction on the street currently so no outside seating. There was seating at jojos but not enough with how many people were there. The portion I think is a little too small, I was still a bit hungry afterwards. Would definitely recommend to check out next time you're downtown.

Stopped by here to try the ice cream, after seeing the video on Instagram. There was a long line, we really wanted to try the creme brulee but I guess it's one of their rotating treats and wasn't available that day. Tried the gelato. Both the Thai pink and sticky rice flavors were really good. One of the best gelatos I have had. There was seating opposite I think it is okay to eat there if you were to get pasta. Definitely would like to try the pasta next time and try out new flavors of their gelato.

My bestie recommended this place for an afternoon meet up. I checked out the menu and couldn't wait to try the place out. It's in this quaint little artist village in downtown Tucson. Murals adorning the walls trellis plants everywhere. A really gorgeous little scene. Ceres offers freshly made pastas and gelato with a rotating special. I have the bucatini with the Casio e Pepe sauce and my bestie had their weekly special which featured olives, orange zest and a light and delicate sauce and she added burrata to the top. We both had gelato. I opted for the Oreo. She opted for a blend of the two flavors and maxed out all of the toppings. Service there is super easy. You walk up to the window order what you want and you're given a number. When your pasta is hot and ready they'll call your number for pickup. While you're waiting you seat yourself and there's plenty of seating for everyone. The portion sizes are perfect and the pasta is just scrumptious. It's also a great way to walk off lunch by taking a stroll through the artist village. If you were looking for good food and a quaint setting this can certainly be your spot!

Stopped by Ceres and tried a few dishes. The Bolognese was the true standout--rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked pasta that really hit the spot. The Tomato Basil was just okay; it wasn't bad, but it felt pretty simple, like something I could've made at home. To finish, I had the Coconut Lime Swirl, which was a refreshing and light treat--perfect way to end the meal. Overall, a cozy spot with quality pasta and great rotational dessert options.

Cute hole in the wall - hipster vibes. A friend and I went out to JoJo's for drinks and dinner, then walked over here for some dessert. I understand it was towards the end of a busy Friday night but the staff was grumpy. I get it though. I'm mainly disappointed with the consistency of the gelato. I received mine first after my friend ordered before me and the sizing is way off. I only waited a few seconds or minutes so that we could sit and enjoy them together. It was warm out but even so, the size of mine compared to hers was considerable if laughable. I just thought it was weird if we're paying the same it would be the same. I'd like to try their noodles one day and I'll probably still try their other desserts. The chai gelato was good with the boba! The flavor hits but consistency was a miss and staff doesn't seem to want to work there. Hope it'll be a better visit next time!

This review is for the gelato only: Love that they have rotating weekly gelato menu!!! Today was cream and sugar and Irish breakfast tea. We both got a kid size to try both flavors after we were stuffed from dinner. The English breakfast tea gelato was our favorite!! Had a great tea flavor and we topped it with biscotti crumble. We topped the sugar and cream with honey. The gelato texture here is more icy than creamy in texture so it was very refreshing for the hot day. Hoping to come back to try the pasta here soon!

We waited a minute to be seated in a small corner table next to the kitchen We waited quite a long time to have our server acknowledge us we had already picked out food by the time they came. She made us aware of specials they had. They don't have a mocktail menu but the server said she would be able to come up with something for me which was very fruity and sweet definitely not my taste. I wish they would incorporate a mocktail menu or better NA options. The appetizer we had was calamari which was decent- my husband wasn't a fan of the breading texture it has a lumpiness to it maybe like a crushed cornflake feel. Not our favorite but overall it was cooked great not overdone. Love the roasted lemon on the side. I had the short rib ravioli which the ravioli itself was good. The sauce was interesting it had a sweetness to it that I wasn't a fan of. I've had short rib ravioli at wildflower which they also did a white sauce which I preferred due to it being savory. I can tell it was a wine based sauce which had a nice depth of flavor but the sweetness really killed it for me. My husband had the baked ravioli which was a lasagna style which was great! Robust sauce and large portion. If you're in Tucson the sauce seems very similar to Nate's. We did get a free cheesecake for our anniversary which was very nice, my husband loved this and he's super picky about cheesecake. Overall not bad- I think I'd maybe come to try some other dishes but service felt very slow, I wasn't blown away with anything and it was very pricey, mocktail options definitely lacked if you're sober.

The server stopped by the table relatively quickly and took our drink order. Drinks were delivered in a timely fashion, we ordered appetizers and the entrees. The server was also friendly and pleasant. The appetizers (meatballs and stuffed mushrooms) were brought to the table by a runner. We had no silverware, napkins, or plates, so we asked the runner for these things when they asked, "do you need anything?". The runner said they'd be right back, but it was about five minutes and no joy. The server stopped by when they noticed we were staring at the appetizers with no way to eat them and brought over the plates, silverware, and napkins. As we were finishing up the appetizers, the same runner brought our entrees. I had the eggplant parm and added a side of spinach, which was very good. My date ordered a pasta dish which was served luke warm at best. The flavors were good, but the pasta dish wasn't nearly as hot as the spaghetti that was served with my eggplant parm. The server never stopped by to check on us, so we ate it and was happy for our water as we didn't get an opportunity to order another round of drinks. To be fair, it started getting a little busier by this time, so maybe the server had other responsibilities. The space is enjoyable. The patio can be hit or miss if there happens to be rain, as there was when we were there, but we were perfectly dry out there. We did see the hostess try to seat another party at a table that was getting wet in the rain and they kindly asked for another table that wasn't so moist. The food was good. The portion sizes were decent and aside from the temperature of the pasta dish, presented well. It would have been nice to have been able to order another round of drinks, but the server stopped by to ask if we had a dessert after we had completed our entrees. We just asked for the bill, paid, and called it an evening. Overall it was a good experience not one I would seek out specifically to go to this particular restaurant again.

The pasta was outstanding with intriguingly long and wavy noodles in a deliciously meaty marinara sauce. Their thin crust pizza was very good too, with "mini-cupped" pepperoni. The pickled peppers weren't noticeable though and had us yearning for the meatball ricotta pizza instead. We chose the coffee gelato for dessert. Had we known it was two scoops we would have asked for one coffee and one vanilla?! My GF/DF pizza did not hit the same notes. The crust was dense and gummy. The overall pizza was pretty bland. I ordered the marinara pizza with garlic and mushrooms. The chicken wings were another highlight, offering great flavor and a generous size that made them worth ordering. On the other hand, the mozzarella sticks could definitely use some improvement, as they didn't quite measure up to the quality of the pizza and wings. The restaurant could also benefit from a little more character in the dining area and a broader selection of drink options. My biggest criticism, however, is the pricing. For a small, casual pizza restaurant, the prices felt a bit high for what was offered. In a competitive area with several established dining options, Los Olivos would be more appealing if it positioned itself as a slightly more affordable alternative. At its current price point, it becomes harder to choose over some of the other restaurants nearby that offer a more complete dining experience. That said, the excellent service, solid pizza, and flavorful wings make it worth trying at least once if you're in the area. While it may not be my first choice among local restaurants, it's still a good spot with potential and one that could become a stronger contender with a few improvements.

Eventually, I had to initiate the interaction myself by saying "Hi there!" and letting her know I was ready to order. The food was just okay. It looked good, but both times I've ordered the pizza, most of the toppings and cheese slid right off when I picked up a slice. The first time, I thought maybe it was just because the pizza was really hot? Unsure. This time, I waited over an hour before taking the attached photo, and the same thing still happened. The chicken was also pretty dry. I ordered a specialty pizza 16" half BBQ half carnivore. It was nice that you could order two in one for a small up charge though. Ultimately, the service is what would keep me from coming back. The young ladies working here seem perfectly kind once you make the effort to engage with them, but I think some basic customer service training would go a long way. Even something as simple as greeting customers with a smile when they walk in and acknowledging someone who is standing at the register would make a big difference. If these are younger employees/ maybe even some of their first jobs, those are skills that can absolutely be taught. I genuinely wanted to give this place another shot, which is why I came back after my first experience. But after essentially the same experience twice, it unfortunately feels more like a pattern than an off day.
