We made a reservation but it wasn't necessary, we had to wait to be seated because the hostess was also taking calls. We were seated in the new wing it was nice but filled up very quickly so maybe the reservation was needed. We started with the calamari strips which were cooked correctly and the best I've had in a while. The bread was almost like a cake texture so that wasn't the best. I got a steak and my wife got a pasta dish. The streak was cooked to perfection and a good quality. The asparagus was aggressively seasoned. My wifes pasta wasn't up to the standard that this place hinted at. It was an decent Italian meal overall.
Went with a large group, great food and service. The dishes were all delicious, but the best of all was the pistachio creme cake, it was light and fluffy and the flavor was delicate. Everyone had a great time
We had dinner here in October and it was so good, we came back to celebrate my mom's birthday a few weeks ago. Both times, dinner was exceptional. My mom is Italian, so I knew she would really enjoy dining here. The place was clean and the servers were friendly. In October we had the Penne Positano (Penne pasta tossed in a creamy tomato sauce with spicy Italian sausage) and the Spaghetti Puttanesca (Spaghetti pasta tossed with kalamata olives, capers, anchovies, and garlic in a tomato sauce). It was amazing. We kept talking about how great the meal was during the entire ride home back to Sahuarita. I also enjoyed my pumpkin martini. A few days before Christmas we had the Penne Mango (Penne pasta tossed with grilled chicken breast, onions, garlic, spinach, and diced mangos in a sweet and sour cream sauce topped with feta cheese), the Spaghetti Scoglio (Spaghetti pasta, mussels, clams, tiger prawns, and scallops in a zesty tomato sauce), and the Penne Positano (Penne pasta tossed in a creamy tomato sauce with spicy Italian sausage). Everything was exceptional including the tiramisu. Thanks for helping to make my mom's birthday special! Perche No is in my top five places to have dinner in Tucson and it has my highest recommendation. The place is cozy and reminds me of a restaurant one may come across on K Street in Sacramento. I highly recommend making a reservation.
Came to this restaurant with my boss this evening. I made a reservation as recommended, and I'm glad I did as it's a relatively small place, and now I understand why the tables fill quickly. The food is outstanding. I ordered the salmon with linguine and asparagus and enjoyed every bite until there was nothing left. The presentation was excellent, and the flavors were even better. Service was friendly and efficient, adding to an already great experience. Parking is limited, so be prepared to walk a bit, but I can assure you the walk is absolutely worth it.
Very cute place located downtown with a cute outdoor area. I made a reservation just in case for a Thursday night early dinner at 5:45 and it's a good thing I did. The restaurant was pretty busy when we arrived. A lovely hostess greeted us and we had a fantastic server. I ordered gnocchi alla bolognese and my partner got pollo parmigiana. While the pollo was very good the pasta with the sauce were not great. The gnocchi alla bolognese were fenomenal. They serve it in a deep dish that keeps the food very hot for a long time. Every bite was delicious. Their bolognese has a serious kick to it so if you are not into spicy food I would skip it. We got a tiramisu for dessert and it was spectacular!! One or actually two comments I must make which were unpleasant. The bread was served in the bread basket covered with a napkin and it was very cold as if it just came out of the fridge. In about 5 minutes after delivering the bread a young lady who was not our server came up to us and asked if she could take it away. We said that it just arrived, however, she was somewhat insistent so we let her take it away. She took the basket, the oil, the vinegar and the plate with an uneaten slice of bread. Super strange behavior in my opinion. The second thing I noticed is as soon as you stop chewing they want to take your food away immediately. Beware
Perche' opens at 5pm and we arrived at 5:10, finding the establishment already 2/3 full. By the time we left, every table was occupied. My friend was craving a salty pasta dish and ordered the spaghetti Puttanesca ($20). I was craving my usual short-rib-something and got the ravioli tortellacci ($27) which turned out to also be our waitress's favorite entree. The number of ravioli dropped from six (3 years ago) to five today but remained outstanding. Free bread was brought out moments later (good, but not warmed and that was a small bummer). Service was excellent. Venue tends to be loud due to close tables and smaller rooms. Parking is a challenge but the location is very walkable to other events.
We decided to take our friend's to Perche' No for a birthday celebration and it was really outstanding. My husband said, "it's like an Italian grandma is cooking non-stop back there" and I agree. Everything we ordered was rich, loaded with flavor and delicious. As I walked in, I noticed the decor felt like walking into an old school Italian restaurant, mom and pop owned, romantic, dim lighting, and European touches throughout. The menu is extensive, with a great variety of appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. Our service out outstanding...we ordered some cocktails and a nice bottle of wine to complement our meal. Everyone really loved their dishes. I especially loved mine because it had an incredible amount of crab. Our desserts were divine, specifically, the limoncello cake. Every bite was sweet, tangy, and lemony. We are really, really looking forward to going back! If you're looking for a romantic date night to indulge in some authentic Italian food, head in!
I'm here later on Friday night around 7:30 PM.. The service was great and the intimate setting really has a great atmosphere for the night. It is downtown so parking is not great, but they do have meters directly in front of the restaurant. We ordered the bruschetta and carpaccio appetizer . I will start by saying the presentation of all of the food we ordered that night was amazing. I really like that the bruschetta bread had a softness to it and wasn't super crunchy like bruschetta I've had in the past at other places. Despite these two appetizers having different flavor profiles, I did feel that the tastes were kind of similar. Both were cool to to try, but I don't think I would order them again. For entrées, we ordered the penne, mango pasta, and the short rib tortellaci. Both of these dishes were adventurous for us but we wanted to try something different! Both dishes I felt were fresh, allowing you to taste all of the distinct flavors of the dish. My husband couldn't appreciate the penne mango pasta initially, but he did say grew on him. I liked the dish, and upon tasting it, I realized I'd never had butternut squash, which had a soft and subtle sweetness to it. It's a very unique dish, and one I think is worth trying... if you have an open mind! The short rib dish was okay to me, I had a little too many mushrooms for my liking. I also feel that for $27 the portion could be greater. These dishes are not heavy with salt, but I believe it's intentional, so I would suggest really look at the ingredients of the dishes to serve you like what's in it. Overall, a good restaurant with Italian dishes I don't see every day . I'd like to go back and try more of the menu!

The food was simply delicious and the service was wonderful too. This smaller and special place is a great dinner stop while in downtown Tucson.
I was staying at the nearby hotel. I heard about this place so I wanted to try it out. We called and they are normally booked in a van. I was told by that but that we can just show up normally have cancellation. We did that and was able to get a table around 5 PM. everything was good including the quality of the ingredient in the flavor. The ambiance was chill vibe. I recommend if you are in the downtown area.
Our 2nd visit to this amazing Italian Restaurant and it did not disappoint! I was in the mood for 'Shrimp Scampi' and our server delivered. It was absolutely AMAZING!!! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff! One of our favorites in Tucson!
It is always fun to visit 'Perche' No on our trips up to Tucson from Green Valley. This is a nice quaint establishment with amazing service and more than amazing flavorful food! The fresh 'Jumbo Shrimp' is from Rocky Point and very tasty! If you have not visited this small cozy Italian restaurant....your missing out. Reservations are Recommended. So 'Perche' No.....which means 'why not'...in Italian! Cheers! read more

We enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. It is set up perfectly flat for an Italian restaurant date night. The tea lights on the table make a huge difference and there is a cute bar inside. The restaurant is located conveniently near Fox Theatre and the music hall. The food was fantastic. Great taste and presentation. They have many options for all types of eaters and preferences. They also have a large desert menu. We ordered four different dishes because we each got our own entree as well as shared an appetizer and desert. We came hungry and left with minimal entree leftovers. The servers were polite and helpful. I will say because of the type of restaurant and how busy it was, it was a little slower. But we think that is to be expected. Good Tucson find. read more

We were here for our anniversary dinner, my husband made reservations in advance (definitely need) it's a smaller venue downtown next to the fox theater. We waited a minute to be seated in a small corner table next to the kitchen We waited quite a long time to have our server acknowledge us we had already picked out food by the time they came. She made us aware of specials they had. They don't have a mocktail menu but the server said she would be able to come up with something for me which was very fruity and sweet definitely not my taste. I wish they would incorporate a mocktail menu or better NA options. The appetizer we had was calamari which was decent- my husband wasn't a fan of the breading texture it has a lumpiness to it maybe like a crushed cornflake feel. Not our favorite but overall it was cooked great not overdone. Love the roasted lemon on the side. I had the short rib ravioli which the ravioli itself was good. The sauce was interesting it had a sweetness to it that I wasn't a fan of. I've had short rib ravioli at wildflower which they also did a white sauce which I preferred due to it being savory. I can tell it was a wine based sauce which had a nice depth of flavor but the sweetness really killed it for me. My husband had the baked ravioli which was a lasagna style which was great! Robust sauce and large portion. If you're in Tucson the sauce seems very similar to Nate's. We did get a free cheesecake for our anniversary which was very nice, my husband loved this and he's super picky about cheesecake. Overall not bad- I think I'd maybe come to try some other dishes but service felt very slow, I wasn't blown away with anything and it was very pricey, mocktail options definitely lacked if you're sober. read more

A great little spot downtown! We've been wanting to check out this place for a while and decided to try it for a birthday dinner. This restaurant is small, so reservations are highly recommended. Also, it's recommended to call at least a week in advance to get your reservation. If you wait until the week of you're likely not going to get in. We were not able to get a reservation so we got to the restaurant about 10 minutes before they opened to grab one of their walk-in tables outside. We ordered fried oysters, bacon wrapped dates, sea bass with linguine Alfredo, and the gnocchi with lobster. We also tried the mascarpone limoncello cake and it was divine! Everything was absolutely delicious! The portions are large so we were able to take food home to eat the next day. I can't wait to go back to try other things! read more

I came in for a late lunch and it was quiet and I was seated right away. The service was friendly and I got my food fast, but no one checked in on me after I got my food fast. I got the lobster ravioli and the limonata dura cocktail and the total was $35 pre tip. read more

Was in Tucson for a week, found this place on Instagram, stopped by. Its a nice cozy restaurant. Had quite a good menu, lot of good options I wanted to try but ended up getting the paste mango, never had this combination before. The creamy sauce with the subtle mango flavor goes really well together. The presentation, and the flavors were really good. My other friends tried other dishes which were are all really good as well according to them. The service was quite fast, maybe a little too fast at times as they'd clear our plates without asking even if there was a little food remaining. The desserts both the strawberry cheesecake and the tiramisu were both really good, definitely must order. read more

Wow, I just had one of the best meals of my life here. The place fills up fast and is small so a reservation is a must. Service was great. We were not rushed at all. We started with the carpaccio and Barbabietole (beets), both excellent and so fresh. Then came the star of the evening, the Short Rib Tortellacci. Easily one of the top 10 entrees I've ever eaten. It is small, so I recommend starting with an appetizer or salad. Finished off with the tiramisu which could've used a little more espresso, but was delicious and the perfect size. I enjoyed that it wasn't soggy and was more custard-y. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back. read more

Ordered the octopus appetizer (delicious but a little tough), duck breast salad (cooked well but EXTREMELY sweet), short rib tortellaci (good overall, no complaints). Cocktails were made well. Enjoyed the ambience, service was efficient but felt a bit oddly cold. read more

Perche No is probably the best Italian restaurant in Tucson. The food, the service, and the ambiance of this little bistro is the perfect combination of any restaurants in downtown. For starters, we got the goat cheese bruschetta which were really good. For entrees, ordered the short rib tortellini and lobster ravioli. Their tiramisu is very delicious, and is truly a proper tiramisu. The staff is also very attentive. I would highly recommend getting a reservation if planning to go on a weekend night as they fill up...so glad to finally found a great Italian place in downtown Tucson! read more

Penne mango and sacchetti were delicious. We went for lunch for my birthday and it was our first time there. We were greeted immediately and seated by a window. We found ourselves in downtown Tucson on a rainy Thursday evening with a craving for Italian. Of course, Yelp made some awesome recommendations, and at the top of the list was this little gem. Perfectly tiny (maybe 15 tables?) and charming, we were not disappointed. The service was great and the food delightful. We shared the bruschetta and a delicious bowl of their tomato soup, then finished it off by splitting an order of their Ravioli del Zucca - everything was great! We were too full for dessert, but will be back to sample a few next time! read more

Perche No is a lovely little Italian bistro with excellent food and service and an intimate ambiance. It would work well for a date night or a family dinner! We had dinner there and absolutely loved our dishes. We got the Pollo Piccata (chicken breast topped with a lemon white wine sauce, served with sauteed mixed vegetables) and one of the specials, Short Rib Tortellacci (short rib tortellacci tossed in a madeira wine cream sauce with shiitake mushrooms). Both were good, but I was particularly wowed by the tortellacci. The pasta was a beautiful texture and flavor, and was stuffed full of perfectly-cooked, super flavorful short rib that paired superbly with the mushroom sauce. I would order this again in a heartbeat! We also treated ourselves to dessert: Mousse al Cioccolatoand Italian Sorbetti. The lemon sorbet was light and very punchy -- it'd be a dream on a hot summer evening. The sorbet comes in whatever fruit the flavor is, which is a fun touch! The chocolate mousse was deliciously, exorbitantly rich -- I actually couldn't finish it, even though it wasn't a large portion, so I ended up taking over half of it home. Perche No is pretty small, so I'd definitely recommend a reservation! read more
Perche No in downtown Tucson offers a delightful Italian dining experience. The lobster ravioli, penne positano, and Caesar salad were all excellent--the salad crisp and refreshing, the pastas hot, flavorful, and perfectly al dente. While the staff was a bit stretched on a busy night, they still made us feel welcomed. Great food, warm atmosphere--I'd happily return! read more
