It's hearty yet light and full of flavor. Their peppers shakers are tasty and hot too.

Everything is here to make Tap & Bottle your local watering hole as I have done so. T&B features an…read moreextensive list of beers on tap which is refreshed every week. Do you get overwhelmed and paralyzed by decision anxiety? Fret not because the menu is well organized and categorized into groups such as light & crisp, hoppy, floral & bitter, and dark & roasty. I recommend starting with a flight of 4 beers, ideally one from each category. Take it from me, the last thing you want to do is get attached to a beer and then it ghosts you the next week when the menu changes. In case beer isn't your thing, did I mention that everything is here? Yes, that's right. My first couple of times here I got distracted by the list of beers that I failed to turn the page to reveal their "secret" menu. It offers wines, meads(!), and a few cocktails. My favorite is the Boulevardier which is a whisky recipe. Pronouncing the name might give me a false impression of being pretentious but once the whiskey hits my system I won't care and I'll be ready to strike up a conversation. The space has indoor and outdoor seating and you can order from the bar in both locations. The indoor area features a cozy space with an arm chair and couch, a long community tables, several picnic tables, and a few whisky barrel table tops. The outside patio is covered and shaded during the summer and has space heaters and a fire pit during the cooler months. My favorite thing about T&B is the convenience and ability to order from Reilly's, Tucson Tamale, or Truland and have it delivered to your space while enjoying your drink. This is a good tip in case Reilly's is full or you don't have a reservation.

They also have fun events and community collabs. They have a small snack menu but encourage you to bring in food from the strip mall business which is convenient and also awesome to see business support others. Of note, parking can get a bit challenging depending on time of arrival...but not really that much of an issue. Will return.

Cool little place tucked away from the hustle and bustle that is Tucson traffic. I stumbled upon…read morethis Catalina Brewing Company looking for something fun to do with our kids. Wondering why a brewery with kids? Well, half of this place is a giant game room filled with old and new pinball machines, a pool table, a couple video games, foosball, a boxing game and shuffleboard. I met Jim, the awesome bartender on duty, who told me some really net stuff about the place and gave me a limited tour of the brewing room. I tried the CDO Blonde beer, which is fitting for this blonde CDO grad. I thought it was really good. Jim explained that they don't add sugar to their brewing process, and instead their natural flavor options serve as the sugars in brewing. Things like fruits, flowers and nuts take the place of added sugar. The pinball machines are very fun, but I have to say the boxing machine was the highlight for the teenage boys in our group. Seeing who hit hardest was all the rage. Catalina Brewing Company takes their beer on the run, or should I say mountain biking trails, to serve to people at events, which sounds fun. There some neat history in this place. I hear they have trivia nights as well. They are family friendly, serving sodas as well. They make cocktails with wine converted to various types of "liquor ". Overall I thought this was a great place I'd go back to in a heartbeat. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, and parking. It was clean and best of all, cool in the summertime. Check out the walls when you're there, including the bathroom walls, for funny memorabilia.

Easily one of the best breweries in Tucson. The quality of the beers here is always outstanding and…read morethe customer service is great. Everyone behind the bar is really knowledgeable and there are always fun events happening every week. Their beers are all brewed in the traditional styles. You'll find a great Pilsner, German-inspired brews like Berliner Weisses, a Scotch Ale and various styles of IPAs, among many others. This place is no frills. They won't make a blueberry pie beer or put fried chicken or other weird stuff in what they brew. You're going to find something here you like if you're a beer drinker and even their lightest beers have a ton more flavor than any macrobrew you see in commercials. The owners are really nice, cool people and they run a family business in every sense of the term. Todd, the one who ad the idea to open this place, is also the head brewer and you can tell how passionate he is about what he does. This brewery was a labor of love and it shows.

We found it and there were about 10 people inside. It's not a big place. Feels like your typical neighborhood bar. Decent selection of beer; I had their Amber, which was good. The bartender was Johnny and he was a friendly guy. I also had one of their soft pretzels. There's a few signs about "no politics or religion", but in the 30 minutes we were there I overheard discussions as to everyone's political beliefs. No one was cranky or anything, which is good. Johnny told us about upcoming events. Pleasant overall; we paid cash to avoid the surcharge.

I was greeted by the bartender who was SUPER friendly and made me feel very welcome. There were others at the bar that asked if I needed a seat at the bar. Very cool vibe. Sports bar vibe....with a family friendly place as well. The second bartender that relived the first one was..nice and friendly, but I did not get that "happy your here "feeling. I ordered the HH cod tacos with slaw, avocado lime sauce, and salsa. They were so good!! The blend of the fresh fish with the slaw....YUMMY. The fish was perfectly cooked. Crisp and not greasy, and so flavorful. I wondered why they delivered a bunch of napkins and ....a few bites in I realized. All over the face, and dripping down the chin....good!! :-) I got a burger to go, with added green chilies. I asked for rare, and I got medium to medium well. Sad panda, but it is still a good burger. I just really love to taste the burger at a rare temp. I also asked for a cup of the gumbo. My first bite was SO salty. I don't know if it was in storage or not fresh, but it was a salt lick. Could not taste the flavor past the saltiness. Good locals place, and prices are reasonable. I appreciate a Veteran owns the establishment and since I am a Veteran as well....I will always support Veteran owned!!

Two visits doesn't make a pattern. But so far my experience is that you can walk in at any time and receive the same dismissive attitude. To be clear, I don't necessarily fault the individuals - this is typically a management issue (coming from someone who has worked behind the bar). Bottom line, a simple hello goes a long way, just sayin. Our business favors those who realize their patrons have options. FWIW this is my first-ever "negative" review. In any state. Take that for what it is. If I don't like a place, I just don't go back. But there's a missed opportunity here, y'all. We went to a different Trident in Tucson and met the best server ever, no lie. IV, please get it together and we'll come back.

We were recently there on a Saturday and the special is $5 house shots. We tried the green tea and the white tea. Both were delicious and huge! Definitely more than a shot. Service is bar/walk up order only, which is totally fine, but makes it less memorable. Overall we are glad to have Casa Marana nearby. We will definitely be back again and again.
