    cookie butter french toast

Not our first time at HeeMee, but our first time trying their french toast!! An extremely well done menu item, but the best part was the whipped cream!! This is one of the best whipped creams I have ever had! It was also plated beautifully. I also got the Chicken Katsu sandwich and the Tonkatsu sauce was delicious. We sat outside because it was overcast and they have a super cute patio. Always a great experience at HeeMee!

Finally got to try this second location and was not disappointed! It's decorated with a cute white and green/pink pastels. They have baked treats, many of which were gone by the time I made it in with a friend. Luckily though, I was in time to try the French toast which it's only available up to a certain time! I got cookie butter, of course. The dish took quite a while to make as I believe maybe at least 25 minutes went by before I was called to come get it. It was large and light, which was great. However, it was lacking in the cookie butter flavor. I would not have known it was cookie butter if I hadn't picked it myself. I went to see if there could be maybe a cookie butter drizzle put on top of it, however, all they have is the actual thick cream I was told. That cream was not on the French toast, however, maybe it was mixed into the whip. There's quite a large menu and I would definitely come back to try more.

As someone who's always on the hunt for a go-to coffee spot, HeeMee completely won me over. The atmosphere is cute, chic, and aesthetically pleasing without trying too hard. There's plenty of space to sit, whether you're getting some work done or just slowing down to enjoy your drink. They're known for their strawberry matcha, so I had to try it with oat milk and it did not disappoint. It was so good I almost finished it before I even realized. Smooth, slightly sweet, and really well balanced. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. I just moved to the area and already know this is going to be part of my regular routine. Found my new spot.

It's Saturday around lunchtime, it was very busy, and line was pretty long. Very nice host & good service. Inside is spacious (bigger than it looks from outside) but still it was pack. The food comes bit longer than I expected. The drinks was good. I ordered spicy korean ramen, it's a bit bland because it has too much soup. Just a suggestion: don't put too much water when cook would be much better taste.

We stopped in with the grands yesterday after a ballet recital at the U of A. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their corndogs and gave them a thumbs up. The food took a long time to come out. Everyone was getting restless. It's a good hang out for college kids with wi-fi and lots of plugs. My daughter enjoyed her noodles and rolls, and we all had iced cream. Mine was ube, which was creamy and delicious! There was also cold grapefruit water, which was a nice touch.

I can completely understand why there is an obsession over this local spot! The inside is large with ample seating, bright, natural light, and aesthetically pleasing decor. The times I have been, I had pastries (cream filled donut and glazed donut) that were tasty, a strawberry lemonade which was a little bit too sweet for my liking, and a chai tea that was perfect. The staff was friendly but do prepared to wait for your order (worth it!) depending on the time of the day you go.

I finally got a chance to go to the new location of HeeMee. I don't normally do activities on university because my work takes me elsewhere and so this Saturday I found myself heading home and decided to stop by and check it out. The space is very beautiful and decorated in pastel decor with a lot of seating options for individuals and groups I ordered the dalgona latte. It's not the first time having one, I've had some in other locations in California. It was just as good as I remembered with lots of pieces of honeycomb on top. I decided to get a bread, milk pastry with yuzo on top and a custard filling that was similar. I also decided to get a brownie that had a blueberry cream topping and blueberry compote. I have the opportunity to look at their menu and there's a lot of entrées and lunch specials available. Since I had already eaten lunch, I just decided to get a little snack and a drink. It's my hope to return very soon. Everything I had tasted wonderful the employees were very helpful and explained what all the different pastries were because it's not easy to tell by sight alone. I was convinced that I was gonna get a chocolate topped croissant and ended up going with a milk pastry instead, I was not disappointed.

The coconut matcha was delicious and the Korean friend chicken bowl tastes just as good. The portions were enough to share and there was enough seating :). Wish I was still in school to enjoy this place more.

HeeMee is a one of a kind place. The food is nothing short of SPECTACULAR! The service is always amazing and it is so cute and cozy inside. The bulgogi bowl and the breakfast sandwich are must haves! Plus their chai latte and the cookie butter latte are SO DELICIOUS. Also do not forget to order Knafeh for desert, you will not regret it. 100000/10

Super nice and oddly interesting little shop where they serve coffee, pastries, ramen and all other authentic foods. A small little walk away from the madness of the bars in Tucson but definitely a nice place to relax and regroup. Make sure to check it out

I visited HeeMee on Sept 23, 2025 and Sep 26, 2025 shortly after they opened this location. They had an impressive display of pastry options making it hard to choose. Both times I visited I got the sandwich + FREE pastry set, and ordered the spicy beef bulgogi sandwich and chocolate croissant. Sadly, I believe this combo is no longer offered which makes sense because it was too good of a deal. The sandwich is incredibly delicious and large enough to share. I wasn't a fan of the strawberry matcha I had on my first visit, I couldn't tell if it was the matcha powder they were using, but I found it extremely lacking. My friend loved every bite of her kimbap and found she wasn't able to finish it, the portions are very decent for the price. Due to its popularity on campus, wait times for drinks are long, and for wait times food are longer. The reason I'm not giving 5-Stars is that one instance when we arrived the trash can was piled about 2 feet above its opening, which grossed me out. It was remedied while I was there, but I was bothered seeing trash next to where the straws and utensils are kept.

These Pastries Should Probably Be Illegal…read more Prep & Pastry has been serving Tucson since 2014, and after eating here, I completely understand why they've built such a loyal following. This review is only about the pastries because the rest of their menu deserves an entirely separate review. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light and airy everything was. Every bite felt fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. The frosting wasn't overly sweet, and nothing tasted heavy or overwhelming. As I've gotten older, I've become much more conscious about what I eat. Surprisingly, these pastries never leave me with that "I shouldn't have done that" feeling. They're indulgent without being excessive. Now let's address the real issue... I always buy two. Not because I'm planning ahead. Because I know exactly what's going to happen if I don't. I'll eat one in the parking lot, sit there for a minute pretending I'm satisfied, then make what is almost certainly an illegal U-turn and head back inside for another. At this point, I believe the owners should stand trial in a savory Food Court of Law. Dun... Dun... "In the Criminal Food Justice System, pastry-based crimes are considered especially delicious. In Tucson, the dedicated foodies who investigate these sugary felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Pastry Unit. These are their stories." Prep & Pastry is guilty of making "I'll just have one" the biggest lie you'll tell yourself all week. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or simply because life is better with a great pastry, this place delivers. WIT Inspection Score: -- Truly Among the Best.

The line was really long, so we used the iPad they provide to place our order. We selected a matcha, but the iPad never gave us the option to choose between hot or iced. We assumed it would come iced, which is our mistake for assuming. When our order came out, the matcha was hot. We went inside and politely asked if there is any chance we could get it iced instead since there was no option on the iPad. The owner herself took the drink and remade it, which we appreciated, but her attitude toward us after was unnecessary. She told us that next time we should order directly with them because we just "wasted their cups" and so on. We apologized again and explained that we would have selected iced if the iPad had actually given us that option, but she didn't really acknowledge what we were saying. What made the experience more disappointing is that I work in coffee myself, so I understand what it's like when things get busy. I chose Barista Del Barrio out of all the coffee shops in the area specifically because I'm Latino and wanted to support a Latino-owned business. I even tipped when I placed the order on the iPad, so I was disappointed with how we were treated over something as simple as an ordering-system issue.
