Friendly service, great food, plenty of seating and a miniature Ceres play house. It's a very community friendly restaurant with water and cups available.
Ceres is absolutely worth the hype! It's on a block downtown with no cars and has only outdoor seating. The cute walk up window is easy to order at and is surrounded by nearly a dozen shops and art galleries. The handmade pasta and sauce is truly delightful. Everything is well balanced and made with care. The gelato flavors rotate every week, this visit we tried the earl grey which was killer! A wonderful downtown gem
Yum had a great Caprese sandwich and tea. It was nice and fresh with lots of mozzarella, they have a veggie one and one with salami. It is a nice little spot next. They have coffees and cold brews too.
Service was friendly. They move the line at a decent speed but expect to wait. It's a hoppin place! Love the outdoor seating and set up. I can't image how hot it might get during peak heat season. The soft serve is delicious. Not too sweet and a good portion. I got the kid size and it was perfect. Pasta is very fresh and you can tell in the texture it gives. It was overly sauced and oiled though which is why i took a star off. It was a bit over the top on cheese and oil! Portions were good and the price is right. One bathroom that shares the whole space with other locations. It was fairly clean for the given space. Glad I came here and checked it out!
I seemed to never be able to make it to Ceres while they are open, but my schedule has changed this year and I have now tried it two times for lunch! I was lucky enough to try their ravioli made with a beet-infused dough, filled with tarragon, lemon zest, ricotta, and mascarpone, which was a special the week of Valentine's Day. It was amazing. I will dream about this dish haha.

I have been eyeing Ceres for the longest time and finally got the chance to come by. We saw they had a Thai inspired pasta special and Thai flavor gelatos, so it was the perfect time to try it out. When we got there around 7 (open 5-9 currently) there was a decent line but I think it moves fairly quickly since you just order at the window and wait on the side for your order to be called. The tagliatelle was already sold out by the time we got to the window so I got the special pasta cut with the bolognese and my husband for the special which was with a Thai peanut sauce. I loved the pastas, both had the perfect bite. The sauces were good. There was a good amount of the Thai sauce, but I wish there was more bolognese. We ordered the gelatos to go, so we just brought back the receipt to the door when we finished our pasta. The gelatos were DELICIOUS! My husband and I loved both of them but agreed that the sticky rice was the best and truly tasted like the authentic Thai desert, just missing some fresh chunks of sweet mango. There was construction on the street currently so no outside seating. There was seating at jojos but not enough with how many people were there. The portion I think is a little too small, I was still a bit hungry afterwards. Would definitely recommend to check out next time you're downtown.

There was a long line, we really wanted to try the creme brulee but I guess it's one of their rotating treats and wasn't available that day. Tried the gelato. Both the Thai pink and sticky rice flavors were really good. One of the best gelatos I have had. There was seating opposite I think it is okay to eat there if you were to get pasta. Definitely would like to try the pasta next time and try out new flavors of their gelato.
My bestie recommended this place for an afternoon meet up. I checked out the menu and couldn't wait to try the place out. It's in this quaint little artist village in downtown Tucson. Murals adorning the walls trellis plants everywhere. A really gorgeous little scene. Ceres offers freshly made pastas and gelato with a rotating special. I have the bucatini with the Casio e Pepe sauce and my bestie had their weekly special which featured olives, orange zest and a light and delicate sauce and she added burrata to the top. We both had gelato. I opted for the Oreo. She opted for a blend of the two flavors and maxed out all of the toppings. Service there is super easy. You walk up to the window order what you want and you're given a number. When your pasta is hot and ready they'll call your number for pickup. While you're waiting you seat yourself and there's plenty of seating for everyone. The portion sizes are perfect and the pasta is just scrumptious. It's also a great way to walk off lunch by taking a stroll through the artist village. If you were looking for good food and a quaint setting this can certainly be your spot!
Stopped by Ceres and tried a few dishes. The Bolognese was the true standout--rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked pasta that really hit the spot. The Tomato Basil was just okay; it wasn't bad, but it felt pretty simple, like something I could've made at home. To finish, I had the Coconut Lime Swirl, which was a refreshing and light treat--perfect way to end the meal. Overall, a cozy spot with quality pasta and great rotational dessert options.
Cute hole in the wall - hipster vibes. A friend and I went out to JoJo's for drinks and dinner, then walked over here for some dessert. I understand it was towards the end of a busy Friday night but the staff was grumpy. I get it though. I'm mainly disappointed with the consistency of the gelato. I received mine first after my friend ordered before me and the sizing is way off. I only waited a few seconds or minutes so that we could sit and enjoy them together. It was warm out but even so, the size of mine compared to hers was considerable if laughable. I just thought it was weird if we're paying the same it would be the same. I'd like to try their noodles one day and I'll probably still try their other desserts. The chai gelato was good with the boba! The flavor hits but consistency was a miss and staff doesn't seem to want to work there. Hope it'll be a better visit next time!
This review is for the gelato only: Love that they have rotating weekly gelato menu!!! Today was cream and sugar and Irish breakfast tea. We both got a kid size to try both flavors after we were stuffed from dinner. The English breakfast tea gelato was our favorite!! Had a great tea flavor and we topped it with biscotti crumble. We topped the sugar and cream with honey. The gelato texture here is more icy than creamy in texture so it was very refreshing for the hot day. Hoping to come back to try the pasta here soon!
My wife and I were able to get another lunch date at Ceres. Parking took a little bit to find, but it was worth it. There was a decent line, but the kitchen was working hard to get the food out quickly. We ordered the Shepherds pie ravioli special, the bucatini with tomato basil and a swirled gelato. We usually do the gelato after we the pasta, but with the warmer weather we went with gelato first. Appreciate the tables and umbrellas they have out on the street. We can't wait to come back.

The evening was hot. The service was walk up and friendly. The choices were all tantalizing and incredibly difficult to choose between. I ultimately decided on the evening special which was the pasta special with optional chicken. All were delicious and LARGE portions. I could not finish it all and as it was so hot outside I opted to just throw out the leftovers as I didn't think it would travel well. Gelato was the next decision but as it was 108 degrees I decided to leave that for my next visit. Looked amazing though. This location is great, just around the corner from the TMA and every time I pass by it is packed! Lovely outdoor seating, but just a wee bit warm for me to linger. All in all a quirky place with delicious and well imagined and presented menu options. I will be back once this killer summer is concluded! Thx ladies for a lovely meal. read more

Oooo I've had this place bookmarked since before I even moved to Tucson so I knew this would be a must try spot once we finally made the move over here. It felt like kismet after we finished up an event at TMA and I searched my Tucson collection and saw we were just a few steps away from Ceres. First impressions: so cute! I mean, this whole area is but I loved the whole concept of the literal hole in the wall pasta spot. Even though they don't have an interior seating area, they don't leave you to fend for yourself, there's plenty of picnic tables and benches around to enjoy your meal. The menu goes like this: choose your sauce, choose your noodle, add protein as desired. I went with the tomato basil with bucatini and my husband had the bolognese with bucatini. Everything was very fresh, including the pasta. We were too stuffed to try the gelato but this is definitely on the agenda for our next visit. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for authentic pasta. read more

Honestly, with all the overwhelming positivity this restaurant gets, there's not much more for me to add. They give kind and quick service, make amazing pastas and gelato, and are so creative with their menu. Every time I come here, I get to experience something new and delicious and I love it! This is probably one of my top recommendations when someone new is visiting Tucson, and that's a testament to how consistently impressive this place is. read more

Yum! Excellent pasta and gelato. Small menu with specials keeps things fresh and easy (if you spend your time in line making a decision). They are quick to prepare the food but the line can be long and slow as people have to make a lot of choices/seem to struggle to make a choice. Gelato was great, couldn't really tell the difference between the two flavors on offer that day, but otherwise good stuff! Alleyway is cute with lots of seating options. read more
Super cute seating! I wasn't blown away by the food but I like that they offer gelato. The food came out fast but the menu is super limited, hope you like pasta! If you just want some pasta and good outdoor seating this is the place. Often live music in the area so the atmosphere is really the selling point. read more

I ordered the special and it was delicious. The pasta tasted fresh and the flavor of the sauce was very unique. The available seating was only a few picnic tables outdoors. My only qualm was that the potion size seemed a bit small for the price, I would have appreciated if the bowl was filled up more. read more

Ceres is such a sweet little corner of Tucson! Had the special this week which was spaghetti with pecorino, parm, squash, and capers. The pasta was delish but the star is always the gelato! The flavor of the week was matcha and it did not disappoint. Seating is all outside so if it's a hot day be ready for that. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. read more

Ceres has been on my list to try for a while now, and I had to take my friends here after hearing about how they're supporting the community. This month, they're giving their handmade pasta away to those who've recently lost their SNAP benefits. We couldn't be more proud to spend our money here! As for the food, it's simple, but made with a noticeable quality. Our meals had a fresh taste of basil and garlic, the noodles were the perfect bouncy texture, and we left with the feeling of being full and satisfied. For a quick meal, it wouldn't be my first choice. But if you're looking for a nice atmosphere and quality pasta, give it a try. read more
I had the Tomato Basil sauce with Tagliolini and my husband had the Cacio E Pepe sauce with Taglioni. Both sauces were great, a little soupy but still delicious. You could tell the pasta was freshly made, so good! We ended with the Banana Creme gelato & Butter Pecan gelato with butter rum sauce - OMG, absolutely incredible!!!! It was very fresh, perfect flavors together and separately. There are a lot of picnic tables that you can sit at or walk around the cute shops across the street. We got there at 2pm (they close at 3pm) and they were sold out of many items so I would definitely go earlier rather than later. Check out their Instagram for weekly specials and gelato flavors! It's a beautiful day today in Tucson and there was a consistently long line at Ceres. I ordered a caprese sandwich, pasta special, and chili chocolate gelato to go. The tables in this little alley began to fill up as I tucked the food away on bike and rode home. Everything was very good. The burrata on the caprese sandwich was perfect, the pasta special was addictive, and the chili chocolate gelato was actually quite spicy hot. You know how when you order something that says chili and there's no heat? Well, this gelato had heat. Yeah! I love that I can ride my bike up to the window and place an order. This will become one of my new stops when I'm bicycling through Tucson. read more
Quick tip: they're only open half the week so check hours! I joined a small group opting to walk on a beautiful Nov afternoon. There was a constant but short, manageable line at the counter where all orders are taken. You also bus your own table after eating. Drinks were ready in under 5 min but pasta bowls took about 10-15 minutes. The block where this tiny cafe is located is cordoned off to traffic so tables line the street itself. Awnings are deep red which tends to make the pasta/bowls look redder than they are. The (pale yellow) pastas are deliciously fresh, as are their sauces. The bolognese has a modest quantity of crumbled beef, otherwise no meats here with any of the other pasta/sauce combos. The reason is that this location doesn't have the capacity (electrical) to house another heating/steaming appliance (unlike their main location on Speedway - Noodies). Water station located across from the counter window is self-serve. I'm told their iced teas are terrific (and include a refill). There are some meters available in the surrounding blocks to park at. Fyi, no bathrooms or indoor seating. Lids are an option if you take some of your pasta to go. read more
BEST DAMN PASTA YOU WILL EVER HAVE IN TUCSON. Okay now that I have everyone's attention, I just want to say again that this is the best pasta you will ever have in Tucson. It's a hole in a wall in an alley that's blocked off so cars cannot drive through there. Specials are so delicious and tend to sell out so make sure to go as soon as you can. Staff is awesome and friendly. Gelato is a must so make sure to grab some to go, eat it there or take a pint home. Lunch time is pretty busy, honestly it's always busy and buzzin cause it's the best damn pasta you'll ever have in Tucson. Seating is limited outside so I tend to take my food to go. read more
What to say about Ceres..... Words that come to mind are, yummy, decadent, made from scratch, lovely, always always always delicious. This is our pasta and gelato go to place. They have their standard sauces and pasta (of course homemade) and a weekly special. The kicker is that they make gelato, very interesting combinations that you can either get alone, swirled and with or without toppings. These ladies are great! Service is friendly. You can also eat your delicious pasta there or take it with you. We usually take our stuff to make at home! Go support them! You will keep going back! Promise! read more

Ceres is the absolute cutest place I've probably eaten at this year. It's literally this small window to order food. This a walk up service. You order your food, and they will call your name to pick up. You self seat your self at these cute little benches on a road closed off to traffic. The pasta was delicious and fresh with a select variety of items. They also have gelato which is a fan favorite for me. I believe they rotate the flavors out daily. I had the pleasure of trying the lemonade and raspberry swirl sorbet, and my friend purchased a pint of the matcha gelato. Both tasty and unique. Hands down a cute spot for a simple dinner. read more
Cutest pasta shop ever!!!! First restaurant I stopped at during my first trip to Tucson. We were so impressed with the location and food! It's located in a cute alleyway across a cute outdoor little area of restaurants and shops. Plenty of outdoor seating. We found street parking very easily on a Saturday afternoon. Super cute little buildings around the area tooz Service was prompt. Friendly workers. Good prices. The portions looked tiny in pictures, but it was a decently filling meal, especially for the price. I got the special (Arrabiata) which was SO good!! My boyfriend got the tomato basil with tagliolini (thin egg noodle) and devoured it - said it was possibly the best pasta he has eaten . Did not expect to be so blown away! Can't wait to come back and try the gelato. They only have two daily flavors rotating. I wasn't too interested in the flavors they had at the time (chili chocolate and cinnamon). Def recommend trying it out!!!! read more
What a fun place for lunch on a sunny day. This is not like a sit down restaurant. You order at the window ( get there early as they tend to run out of the popular items) and then sit at a bench to enjoy your food. If you are so inclined you can meet someone new at your table and check out what they ordered! A I love that you have the choices of your pasta and your sauces. Simple but so hard to make the choice since it all sounds so good. I shared the crab ravioli which was perfect since I wanted to save room for the gelato. The gelato is outstanding!!!! After lunch you can stroll around the Artisan Market. Great day and great food! read more
