The staff I talked with to make appointment is rude and had bad attitude. Aren't they supposed to be kind and nice.

I'm not claustrophobic, if you are I don't recommend it. I waited about ten minutes before a guy came and got me to get ready for the MRI. He explained everything in the kindest way, but he didn't sugar coat it. It didn't really make me nervous, but maybe some anticipation slipped in. Then came Rene to perform the MRI. She also explained everything, just like he did, but for some reason a calmness came over me. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't wait for it to be done and it went over without a hitch. Then I went to the x-ray room. The girl took four x-rays in 2 or 3 minutes. She didn't have to read anything to know what to do, and she knew what positions I had to be in for the proper x-rays. She floated around like a little dove. This was the first time I enjoyed getting x-rays. I don't want to leave out the two girls at the front desk. As soon as I walked in I started to tell them my name and why I was there, but before I even started with my last name the girl gave me some paperwork that I had to fill out, since I was a new patient. Their kindness was explosive. Longhorn Imaging in Kyle is not your average Medical Facility. It's friendly, caring, and everyone knows their job like they know their name. These people are absolute professionals and they treated me like royalty. Oh yeah, I had to wait for the x-rays because the bureaucrats or whoever, was inspecting the x-ray machine, they probably checked all the machines, and all was well. So you also know this place is top notch. If you need any type of imaging, this place is for you.

6 stars+, I need more stars to rate my experience!!!…read more First of all, I had been freaking out over possible bad news from my blood tests the week prior. Apparently, I needed to have a liver biopsy done. All of this coupled with nightmare colonoscopies I've had in the past AND 18 years of dealing with military and VA doctors (I'm recently retired Air Force) and I had already worked into a panic attack and unable to sleep, fearing both the procedure AND results. My anesthesiologist, Mr Tiger, called me the day prior and gave me very informative details and reassurance that the procedure would not be difficult. The next morning, I was going to the room right on time. Mr Tiger made both my wife and I comfortable, and spoke with the doctor to help me start with some medication to ease my nerves. By the time I was taken into the procedure room, I already had another excellent technician start the sonogram, and very soon afterwards my Dr, Dr Suh, introduced herself and again explained the procedure, ensured I was more than comfortable and we talked about personal experiences that we enjoyed to relax. The next thing I know, the procedure was over before I even knew it had really started! Back to my room, and some pain slowly started creeping in. The push of a call button, two pain meds later, and I feel good enough to write this message after meeting a manager, Tammy, and expressing my gratitude for a wonderful experience. I performed Quality Assurance - type work for the Air Force for a long time in my career. Everyone knows that people rarely praise, and usually only complain! Friends, if you have good service and experiences, please take the time to write about it! Employees deserve it just as much as those who deserve complaints, and being recognized does your part to help keep the good people there for us! Thank you Mr Tiger and Dr Suh - your care and professionalism is what all patients and all of society deserves in any setting. God bless! David Russell

Fellow Austinites. Please Boycott Austin radiological associates when considering your imaging…read moreneeds. Ever since they outsourced their scheduling to a call center overseas it is nothing but agony to schedule with them. I know that they would prefer you to not call but I can never access their online scheduling portal even though I allowed their system to choose my password and then dutifully saved it. So, I had two different exams to schedule and even though I knew it was a long shot ( and even said as much to the rep) I waited on hold for almost 30 minutes. I waited because often my phone won't ring anymore ( Santa says he's bringing a new one) and I was hoping for same day, same place. I finally get through and we played twenty questions to get me verified even though my name, phone number, DOB and insurance should be on file. After I explained the situation and what I was hoping for the run around began. She kept repeating the types of exams over and over and naming dates months out but not locations. So if she was looking at open dates she should know which location, right? Why not say so when mentioning the date? Then when questioned why February ( one exam is a screening covered 100%) she claimed it was to do it in one day but still didn't tell me if it was my preferred location or one of their other eleven. This went on for over forty minutes and I could hear a man in the background making comments and laughing. I finally made both appointments, not together, not even this year for the screening so they screwed me on the benefit for next year. It was so bad they even said they had an appointment for the screening at my preferred location this afternoon but when I questioned if they could verify my insurance in that time ( a couple of hours) suddenly she was looking at 2026 and when questioned about that she said they had no appointments before that date next year. So no available appointments until December of 2026? Okay. I was under the impression from having spoken with their corporate office in the past that they only open their schedule a couple of months at a time. It is like this every time you try to contact them, and awhile back I showed up at a location that had my information for almost a month but when I got there they said my insurance had not approved the exam and tried to deny me. I sat on a bench in the lobby, called my insurance company and was told they had approved it within two days of it being submitted but ARA had never followed up. I had to go in and give my phone to the reception so the woman could put in the approval code and verify she was speaking to the insurance rep. Unfortunately I cannot get my images any where else this time but this will be the last time I use ARA. We have private insurance paid for by my husband's employer and they pay out well and rarely ( almost never) deny a claim. These administrative positions should be filled by American citizens in the community as they used to be. People do a better job when they are members of the community they serve. Every time you get routed to Pakistani or Bangladesh they just want to waste your time. I started the forty minute conversation trying to be patient and understanding but ultimately lost it. Especially when I was asking a question and she started speaking over me. I tried to call corporate just to verify she had actually managed to schedule the exams since she couldn't seem to understand the calendar program and how it worked and also find out what I needed to do to access the portal next time and the line kept disconnecting when I pressed one . So I let it ring through to the operator who thought she was that woman Veronica on FB. You know, the one who hangs up on and threatens customers? And I was politely explaining to her because she wasn't the scheduler who was difficult to deal with but she decided to just keep putting me on hold, she didn't even say why the first time. I promise I was being respectful with her even though I had finally lost it with the other woman. Obviously there was an issue but she didn't even have the respect to listen before deciding not to be helpful. Enough is enough. Consider taking your healthcare elsewhere. I spoke with Touchstone but they were also scheduled out too far,and I would need to contact my physicians and have them resend the orders before scheduling. However, I got right through, she listened and empathized and gave me the address and fax number in case I did want to wait until January. I ended up calling my Drs office for one scan because it's pretty critical to see if they even booked the appointment at ARA.

I was referred to this facility by my physician for an MRI on my foot. When I called to schedule…read morethe appointment, I was informed that their facility was out of network, but I wouldn't be charged anything. The facility would cover any costs incurred that my insurance didn't cover because they're new and building their business. Sounds easy for me, so I agreed to move forward with the appointment. When I arrived, I was asked to fill out lots of paperwork, all of which was normal- except the last three pages which were legal documents stating that I was responsible for anything my insurance didn't cover. The third document stated that if I was in need of financial assistant and had either a high deductible plan or was paying cash that they would offer some sort of payment for me. Well, that isn't the type of insurance I have, so I asked the administrator present for further detail. I let her know that I was uncomfortable signing the documents because I had been told that all of my expenses were covered verbally over the phone (she was actually the one that told me this) yet these documents stated otherwise. I let her know I'd be happy to sign these documents if she could provide me written documentation of what we discussed on the phone. She replied that she couldn't. I asked if she could email me a statement. Again, she said she couldn't. I replied that I didn't feel comfortable signing these documents without something in writing to protect my interest. I asked if I could take the documents home to look them over with my husband (my foot is broken, I would really like this MRI so I can get the correct treatment even if I'm feeling like this is getting weird) and she ripped them out of my hands and said that she would be shredding them. I'm sorry- how sketchy is that? I promptly left and called my doctor to let them know not to refer to the facility any more. I typically don't read these type of documents at a doctors office, yet thank goodness I did! If they're in network, great! If not, watch out.

My MRI was STAT since my follow up with the orthopedic was the very next morning. My orthopedic got my results in time for my appointment which was awesome. While waiting for my appointment I had the opportunity to grab a few mints and a water bottle. I could of even grabbed a few of the snacks available or a coffee. The MRI tech was super nice, cute and made the process easy and painless. It was nice to be offered headphones that tuned into a radio station that I picked and also a warmed blanket since that place is chilly.
