I was referred to this facility by my physician for an MRI on my foot. When I called to schedule the appointment, I was informed that their facility was out of network, but I wouldn't be charged anything. The facility would cover any costs incurred that my insurance didn't cover because they're new and building their business. Sounds easy for me, so I agreed to move forward with the appointment. When I arrived, I was asked to fill out lots of paperwork, all of which was normal- except the last three pages which were legal documents stating that I was responsible for anything my insurance didn't cover. The third document stated that if I was in need of financial assistant and had either a high deductible plan or was paying cash that they would offer some sort of payment for me. Well, that isn't the type of insurance I have, so I asked the administrator present for further detail. I let her know that I was uncomfortable signing the documents because I had been told that all of my expenses were covered verbally over the phone (she was actually the one that told me this) yet these documents stated otherwise. I let her know I'd be happy to sign these documents if she could provide me written documentation of what we discussed on the phone. She replied that she couldn't. I asked if she could email me a statement. Again, she said she couldn't. I replied that I didn't feel comfortable signing these documents without something in writing to protect my interest. I asked if I could take the documents home to look them over with my husband (my foot is broken, I would really like this MRI so I can get the correct treatment even if I'm feeling like this is getting weird) and she ripped them out of my hands and said that she would be shredding them. I'm sorry- how sketchy is that? I promptly left and called my doctor to let them know not to refer to the facility any more. I typically don't read these type of documents at a doctors office, yet thank goodness I did! If they're in network, great! If not, watch out. read more

I came here for an MRI of knee. My MRI was booked on Friday for that following Monday. I had no problem finding the place. My MRI was STAT since my follow up with the orthopedic was the very next morning. My orthopedic got my results in time for my appointment which was awesome. While waiting for my appointment I had the opportunity to grab a few mints and a water bottle. I could of even grabbed a few of the snacks available or a coffee. The MRI tech was super nice, cute and made the process easy and painless. It was nice to be offered headphones that tuned into a radio station that I picked and also a warmed blanket since that place is chilly. read more

My experience here was fairly quick and efficient. Came in for an ankle MRI and I was in and out within 30 minutes. The offered you a blanket, headphones and a pillow to use during the MRI. Everyone was very nice overall no complaints. Shady place. Their insurance policy claiming they require 0 cost out of pocket if you're out of network seems too good to be true, and it is. If you ask them to send you email or written confirmation of their policy prior to your appointment you're met with a rude and short explanation that they "don't do that here" and are immediately offered an appointment cancellation instead. read more

I had a great experience having a CT scan with IV contrast at Mopac Imaging. Although Mopac Imaging is out of network for me and not covered by my insurance at all, they charged $100 less for a CT scan than I would have paid out of pocket at the big box imaging center in Austin that does accept my insurance. Joann was very helpful and answered all my questions. Patrick, who did my CT, was a delight and did an excellent job at starting my IV. Glad my doctor sent me here. read more

Friendly and competent and they give you a locker to stow your concealed handgun. Sure, they have the meaningless 30:06 signs which ignoring has a penalty of less than a bar bill. So walk in, lock up your weapon and take the key into the MRI room. They have the maximum liability by proclaiming that you must be disarmed and they give u a nice storage facility. As a physicain with 3 decades of experience, I am well aware of what constitutes compassion and caring. After reading reviews on this organization, I went ahead still and decided to send over an order for an MRI and was given the feedback that they are out of network but would cover any costs incurred that insurance didn't cover much like prior reviews. As much like any business person, I indicated that was fine and just would like it in writing as record. Quickly told that she couldn't do that nor could she send over paperwork in advance so i could review. She said i would have to come in the office. I already read the prior review of what they were provided in their paperwork. The scheduler then pivoted quickly to tell me that obviously since i wasn't comfortable that she would let the doctors office know i wouldn't be coming in. Very short and doesn't present well from a customer perspective. I can now understand the prior reviews. If an organization isn't willing to provide things in writing upfront and be transparent I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

I was pleased with this office. Not many imaging offices that will accept what insurance pays for an MRI. I had many imaging places tell me it's $500 out of pocket for the MRI but not here. They really care about helping patients get the x-rays they need. And the office is cute and welcoming! read more

I am writing this review under Austin Premier Imaging although the signage at this location says. Mopac imaging. My experience was excellent. It is a small office that is a refreshing change from the larger imaging operations in town. My MRI was administered by Patrick. He was extremely friendly and engaging and a pleasure to work with. I am usually a very nervous person when it comes to having an MRI performed but was pleasantly surprised at my experience here at Austin Premiere Imaging. The technician was very friendly yet professional and reassuring. It was nice to have a headset to help quiet the usually agitating loud noise experienced while in the tube and instead have the Pandora channel of choice piped in instead. I definitely would consider repeat business in the future as medical needs dictate. read more

I was sent to Mopac Imaging by Austin Foot for an MRI on 09/27/19. I was told they charged less and they were preferred by Austin Foot. I had many good experiences with ARA, but followed Austin Foot's advice. I was told on the phone when making the appointment that my insurance UHC covered everything and I would owe nothing. I was assured when I filled out the forms prior to the MRI that morning, that my insurance covered the MRI. In December I received a nasty letter from Mopac Imaging that I potentially owed them $2600. I had received nothing from Mopac Imaging in the interim indicating I owed anything. I contacted UHC and later Mopac Imaging and was told that I needed to just confirm a few facts and all would be taken care of. Just received a letter today from UHC and now the bill is for $20,000!!!!! So, I was lied to by both of the staff I spoke to who said my insurance was covering the charge, I never received anything to support the $2,600 charge and I never received anything to support the increase to $20,000. UHC has offered to pay the out of network charge of about $400. Just like Austin Foot, that in my opinion caused the tear in my Achilles tendon that Mopac Imaging found. (Austin Foot supplied me with an undersized boot without any heel support, to wear prior to the MRI) I would stay away from both of them. It would appear that they have changed their name as the address is still the same. read more

Will never go to this place again, nor recommend it!!!! I arrived at 4:15 for a 4:30 appointment with the completed paperwork in hand. I was quickly greeted by the receptionist with a rude comment that I had not completed all of the paperwork. Their website is not clear at all about what you need to complete. I was not given any indication of whether they were behind schedule, just told "take a seat". At 5:05 she opened the door and said "it would be a few more minutes". At 5:15 I couldn't take it any longer and told her I was not willing to wait another minute and asked to use the bathroom. When I walked back the hall, I could see two technicians just sitting there. Granted they could have been finishing up with another patient, but does it really take two? Especially when they are so far behind. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting! There was urine all over the seat and floor!! The waiting room seats were typical waiting room seats and totally uncomfortable for an hour wait for a person with a bad back. I should have kept to my instincts and gone to ARA. I've gone to them in the past and always had a wonderful experience. There is nothing "premier" about this place. read more
