I'm not claustrophobic, if you are I don't recommend it. I waited about ten minutes before a guy came and got me to get ready for the MRI. He explained everything in the kindest way, but he didn't sugar coat it. It didn't really make me nervous, but maybe some anticipation slipped in. Then came Rene to perform the MRI. She also explained everything, just like he did, but for some reason a calmness came over me. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't wait for it to be done and it went over without a hitch. Then I went to the x-ray room. The girl took four x-rays in 2 or 3 minutes. She didn't have to read anything to know what to do, and she knew what positions I had to be in for the proper x-rays. She floated around like a little dove. This was the first time I enjoyed getting x-rays. I don't want to leave out the two girls at the front desk. As soon as I walked in I started to tell them my name and why I was there, but before I even started with my last name the girl gave me some paperwork that I had to fill out, since I was a new patient. Their kindness was explosive. Longhorn Imaging in Kyle is not your average Medical Facility. It's friendly, caring, and everyone knows their job like they know their name. These people are absolute professionals and they treated me like royalty. Oh yeah, I had to wait for the x-rays because the bureaucrats or whoever, was inspecting the x-ray machine, they probably checked all the machines, and all was well. So you also know this place is top notch. If you need any type of imaging, this place is for you.

I was referred to this facility by my physician for an MRI on my foot. When I called to schedule…read morethe appointment, I was informed that their facility was out of network, but I wouldn't be charged anything. The facility would cover any costs incurred that my insurance didn't cover because they're new and building their business. Sounds easy for me, so I agreed to move forward with the appointment. When I arrived, I was asked to fill out lots of paperwork, all of which was normal- except the last three pages which were legal documents stating that I was responsible for anything my insurance didn't cover. The third document stated that if I was in need of financial assistant and had either a high deductible plan or was paying cash that they would offer some sort of payment for me. Well, that isn't the type of insurance I have, so I asked the administrator present for further detail. I let her know that I was uncomfortable signing the documents because I had been told that all of my expenses were covered verbally over the phone (she was actually the one that told me this) yet these documents stated otherwise. I let her know I'd be happy to sign these documents if she could provide me written documentation of what we discussed on the phone. She replied that she couldn't. I asked if she could email me a statement. Again, she said she couldn't. I replied that I didn't feel comfortable signing these documents without something in writing to protect my interest. I asked if I could take the documents home to look them over with my husband (my foot is broken, I would really like this MRI so I can get the correct treatment even if I'm feeling like this is getting weird) and she ripped them out of my hands and said that she would be shredding them. I'm sorry- how sketchy is that? I promptly left and called my doctor to let them know not to refer to the facility any more. I typically don't read these type of documents at a doctors office, yet thank goodness I did! If they're in network, great! If not, watch out.

My MRI was STAT since my follow up with the orthopedic was the very next morning. My orthopedic got my results in time for my appointment which was awesome. While waiting for my appointment I had the opportunity to grab a few mints and a water bottle. I could of even grabbed a few of the snacks available or a coffee. The MRI tech was super nice, cute and made the process easy and painless. It was nice to be offered headphones that tuned into a radio station that I picked and also a warmed blanket since that place is chilly.

Medical bills kill us, but CPI is the only provider who makes sure we get the best price, every…read moretime. For starters, our insurance doesn't cover imaging, so the provider doesn't have to bill us at the insurance rate, they can bill at the much higher Full Rate. And labs like LabCorp and Clinical Pathology Labs do indeed bill at the Full Rate, which is sometimes 6x higher than the insurance rate. But CPI lets us pay at the insurance rate, which saves us a ton. Further, sometimes self-pay is cheaper than going through insurance, so CPI always checks both prices and then bills us at whatever option is cheaper. We have dozens of providers and *nobody* else does this. Finally, Paige remembers us and always asks about the kids (she remembers details about them). We don't experience that anywhere else, either.

I went to Central Park Imaging at 900 W 38th St #100, Austin, TX 78705 on 3/17/2026 for an MRI…read moreprocedure. The tech was Gary House. I was not in pain when I went in, but Mr. House elicited so much unexpected pain that I screamed suddenly in response. He did not react to my pain at all, but instead, continued to give test instructions. Mr. House was in a hurry. When the test was completed, he wanted me off the table as quickly as possible and told me to sit in another chair to put on my shoes. The MRI room is not adjacent to the bathroom, so patients have to walk through the halls in hospital attire in front of other patients before getting dressed. I was in pain for days after, and had to return to my doctor. I reported my experience to my doctor and to the manager of Central Park Imaging. On the facility's Website the profile for Gary House states: "He loves working in healthcare and helping people find out why they hurt." In my case, I was not treated respectfully, and Gary House put me in extreme physical and emotional pain. I have never received mistreatment at other imaging facilities.

Dr. Geck stood out immediately because he did something that should be ordinary but, in our experience, was not: he treated my daughter like any other patient whose symptoms deserved to be investigated. He ordered significant testing, continued looking when the answers were not obvious, and made it clear that he did not want her to remain in pain without understanding why. His thought process was also notably similar to the physicians we encountered at Cleveland Clinic--careful, evidence-based, and willing to consider the complexity of the entire clinical picture. Dr. Geck is well known in our area for performing emergency and complex spinal surgery. That kind of work requires far more than technical surgical skill. It requires the ability to assess a patient quickly, recognize what matters among competing findings, and make difficult decisions in high-risk situations. As the mother of a daughter with significant disabilities, I will always remember Dr. Geck as one of the physicians who treated her with genuine dignity. Her imaging was difficult and her case was complicated, but he did not dismiss her because of that complexity. First time here. I made the appointment thru Function Health. My appt was for 8:30, but arrived at…read more8:45 due to crazy traffic. There is only a 10 minute grace period and then you lose your scheduled time. The good news is, they offer you the next available time slot which was 9:20, so I accepted, they actually called me back just a few minutes later, easy peasy digital check in process. Just make sure you're on time. You also need your driver's license when you check in. I was there to have blood drawn and I'm not a good patient when it comes to having blood drawn. So my nerves were shot. But the lab tech, phlebotomist, did such an amazing job with finding a vein and drawing 14 vials of blood without me getting sick or being in pain. This was the easiest and most efficient blood draw I've ever had in my life, at this big age. She was friendly and knew exactly what she was doing! I highly recommend this location for blood draw.
