No grip bars, nothing for balance, nothing to assist in the transfer. It doesn't lower at all.

*wheelchair users beware* The ct scan machine was not wheelchair accessible. They had no plan for how to assist a wheelchair user to get their scan. This was an important scan that I waited a month to get scheduled for and now I have to wait even longer and suffer the indignity of having to find an accessible CT scan. This felt borderline illegal by Ada law standards for a business. I filled out a lot of previsit paperwork, they paid for an Uber to come get me from my house, all of this had wheelchair user written all over it, yet I get to the room for the scan and I'm asked to stand up from my chair and get on a machine that is shoulder height to me. This was frankly embarrassing to me and the staff who could have told me ahead of time they did not have a way for me to use the machine. After the visit, I had to call up to the business to make sure my deductible was refunded due to no services being able to be performed. The billing g department told me to go back to the office in person to ensure the deductible was refunded. (5-8 business days to get the money back btw). So I called back to the robot line and acted as I needed to reschedule my appointment just to talk to a helpful csr, who was able to confirm my deposit got refunded. So total impact: wasted my time scheduling this place a month out, wasted my day getting embarrassed at their facility, and I get to float a big bill for 5-8 days before I see my money back in my account. Horrible. Just Horrible.

First: Enter off Thunder Creek,  not Jollyville. There is no entrance on Jollyville.  One great thing about Touchstone is that they perform MRIs on Saturdays. I found check in to be very easy, and the waiting room very pleasant. When I was brought to the back for my MRI, my technician was professional yet kind and made the experience go smoothly. I should also note, the changing rooms have lockers to place your clothes/belongings in, and you keep the key. In all, this is a solid place to go for your imaging needs.

80 images w/wo contrast are normal for a 15 cm scan length with 3mm sections. 1873 images seem to be consistent with the 10-20 CT rotation.

6 stars+, I need more stars to rate my experience!!!…read more First of all, I had been freaking out over possible bad news from my blood tests the week prior. Apparently, I needed to have a liver biopsy done. All of this coupled with nightmare colonoscopies I've had in the past AND 18 years of dealing with military and VA doctors (I'm recently retired Air Force) and I had already worked into a panic attack and unable to sleep, fearing both the procedure AND results. My anesthesiologist, Mr Tiger, called me the day prior and gave me very informative details and reassurance that the procedure would not be difficult. The next morning, I was going to the room right on time. Mr Tiger made both my wife and I comfortable, and spoke with the doctor to help me start with some medication to ease my nerves. By the time I was taken into the procedure room, I already had another excellent technician start the sonogram, and very soon afterwards my Dr, Dr Suh, introduced herself and again explained the procedure, ensured I was more than comfortable and we talked about personal experiences that we enjoyed to relax. The next thing I know, the procedure was over before I even knew it had really started! Back to my room, and some pain slowly started creeping in. The push of a call button, two pain meds later, and I feel good enough to write this message after meeting a manager, Tammy, and expressing my gratitude for a wonderful experience. I performed Quality Assurance - type work for the Air Force for a long time in my career. Everyone knows that people rarely praise, and usually only complain! Friends, if you have good service and experiences, please take the time to write about it! Employees deserve it just as much as those who deserve complaints, and being recognized does your part to help keep the good people there for us! Thank you Mr Tiger and Dr Suh - your care and professionalism is what all patients and all of society deserves in any setting. God bless! David Russell

Fellow Austinites. Please Boycott Austin radiological associates when considering your imaging…read moreneeds. Ever since they outsourced their scheduling to a call center overseas it is nothing but agony to schedule with them. I know that they would prefer you to not call but I can never access their online scheduling portal even though I allowed their system to choose my password and then dutifully saved it. So, I had two different exams to schedule and even though I knew it was a long shot ( and even said as much to the rep) I waited on hold for almost 30 minutes. I waited because often my phone won't ring anymore ( Santa says he's bringing a new one) and I was hoping for same day, same place. I finally get through and we played twenty questions to get me verified even though my name, phone number, DOB and insurance should be on file. After I explained the situation and what I was hoping for the run around began. She kept repeating the types of exams over and over and naming dates months out but not locations. So if she was looking at open dates she should know which location, right? Why not say so when mentioning the date? Then when questioned why February ( one exam is a screening covered 100%) she claimed it was to do it in one day but still didn't tell me if it was my preferred location or one of their other eleven. This went on for over forty minutes and I could hear a man in the background making comments and laughing. I finally made both appointments, not together, not even this year for the screening so they screwed me on the benefit for next year. It was so bad they even said they had an appointment for the screening at my preferred location this afternoon but when I questioned if they could verify my insurance in that time ( a couple of hours) suddenly she was looking at 2026 and when questioned about that she said they had no appointments before that date next year. So no available appointments until December of 2026? Okay. I was under the impression from having spoken with their corporate office in the past that they only open their schedule a couple of months at a time. It is like this every time you try to contact them, and awhile back I showed up at a location that had my information for almost a month but when I got there they said my insurance had not approved the exam and tried to deny me. I sat on a bench in the lobby, called my insurance company and was told they had approved it within two days of it being submitted but ARA had never followed up. I had to go in and give my phone to the reception so the woman could put in the approval code and verify she was speaking to the insurance rep. Unfortunately I cannot get my images any where else this time but this will be the last time I use ARA. We have private insurance paid for by my husband's employer and they pay out well and rarely ( almost never) deny a claim. These administrative positions should be filled by American citizens in the community as they used to be. People do a better job when they are members of the community they serve. Every time you get routed to Pakistani or Bangladesh they just want to waste your time. I started the forty minute conversation trying to be patient and understanding but ultimately lost it. Especially when I was asking a question and she started speaking over me. I tried to call corporate just to verify she had actually managed to schedule the exams since she couldn't seem to understand the calendar program and how it worked and also find out what I needed to do to access the portal next time and the line kept disconnecting when I pressed one . So I let it ring through to the operator who thought she was that woman Veronica on FB. You know, the one who hangs up on and threatens customers? And I was politely explaining to her because she wasn't the scheduler who was difficult to deal with but she decided to just keep putting me on hold, she didn't even say why the first time. I promise I was being respectful with her even though I had finally lost it with the other woman. Obviously there was an issue but she didn't even have the respect to listen before deciding not to be helpful. Enough is enough. Consider taking your healthcare elsewhere. I spoke with Touchstone but they were also scheduled out too far,and I would need to contact my physicians and have them resend the orders before scheduling. However, I got right through, she listened and empathized and gave me the address and fax number in case I did want to wait until January. I ended up calling my Drs office for one scan because it's pretty critical to see if they even booked the appointment at ARA.

Their reports are often blurry and illegible even after requesting originals multiple times. They send faxes with blurry streaks and multiple printer lines and marks making them impossible to read. That was scary…read more.. Following last week's screening, I was called in for another series that was much more detailed and extensive. This has happened to me in other cities with other imaging centers... it has to do with 3D mammograms and how they perceive tiny calcifications. According to cancer.org, "Getting called back after a screening mammogram is fairly common and doesn't mean you have breast cancer. In fact, fewer than 1 in 10 women called back for more tests are found to have cancer." I arrived 20 minutes early and walked into a crowded waiting room. Nevertheless, my documentation was immediately updated and I was only made to wait about 5-6 minutes before I was called in. I was handed a pre-warmed robe and allowed to change. After having read the disgruntled reviews by women who have had to wait nearly an hour, I checked the time and realized that my screening was underway several minutes AHEAD OF TIME. Waiting for a mammogram is not easy. I feel for any woman who has to wait, no matter what her circumstances are (especially because some are exponentially bad!). Waiting for the results of a mammogram - especially when you're there for a second screening - is emotionally draining. I only had to wait about ten minutes and thankfully, I was given the all clear. Such relief. My radiologist was so gentle, kind and thoughtful. So was the woman at the front desk who signed me in. Still, I'm thrilled that I won't be seeing any of them for another year. Whew!
