We absolutely loved Cenote. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food was divine, there's multiple parking areas, and there's multiple places to sit either inside or outside on the adorable patio. Per recommendation, I ordered the Chilaquiles, and they were probably the best Chilaquiles I've ever had. The chips still had crispiness to them, the eggs were fried perfectly, the sauce was delicious, and it was topped with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and sour cream. My boyfriend got the eggs Benedict, which he gets everywhere, and they get A minus because one of the eggs was over cooked, but otherwise was a very delicious meal. I also got the golden milk, because they actually make it in house. It was delicious and beautifully presented. I also ended up buying a pin from a local store that they support, because they were too dang cute. We could've spent all day here, I'm so happy that we decided to stop in. read more

Thanks to the Yelp collection I saw highlighting the best burgers in town! I picked up a smoker burger and side of Brussels for National Burger Day. It didn't disappoint! The burger was cooked just right and the smoked Gouda, bacon, and bbq sauce is a delicious and savory combo. The Brussels also have bacon and fresh parm mixed in. Amazing coffee shop in East Austin, the service and food never disappoints. I've had their eggs Benedict and breakfast burrito on two different trips. Such a nice and relatively inexpensive breakfast to start the day. The macchiato I ordered last time was perfect and this past summer I enjoyed my cold brew. I love the vibe inside the old Victorian house and it's even nicer to sit outside in their garden / yard area while basking in the winter sun. I absolutely LOVE cenote I frequent this place almost weekly! I eat a gluten-free diet and they not only have a GF bread option but GF buns as well, and corn tortillas. Fresh veggies and a ciabatta bread that had a great texture and flavor. The mango fields salad was OK, with the mangos and mixed greens having a limp texture, while the strawberries, avocados, and carrots were the workhorse. It's pretty easy to find, there is street parking and a church lot with extra parking a block away. You get in line and order at the cash register and take your number and get seated where they will bring you your food. I was on a crunch on time, and my food came out really quickly in less than 10 minutes when there was a long line as well. The staff was very sweet and attentive! Cute cabin vibes inside. There's also extra seating outside in the back patio. The chicken chicken tortilla soup was super flavorful, the breakfast burrito was huge and I got it with the sausage which was really good, then my friend had the classic breakfast and it was really good as well!! We came here for brunch and I sort of wished we'd had breakfast at the IHOP around the corner. The place is cute. Small inside with small tables like a coffee shop and loads of cute picnic tables outside in the front and side like a little grotto. You stand in line to order and they bring the food out to you. Seems straightforward enough although don't forget to get your drinks (including coffee at the bar. They don't bring that out to your table. The food was okay. I had the chilaques which was fine. Nothing to write home about but also something I won't spend $10 on again. Date had the pancakes which were good. The scones actually are awesome. But the biggest issue is the flies. They are everywhere. They have signs asking people to bus their tables to keep bugs away but it was super gross to be waiving off 5 flies at a time just to try to each my lunch. I loved this place. For reals. I had a late after dinner coffee/tea date with my friend one night, we returned the following morning for breakfast, and came back the next day for tea and coffee again. So I was in Austin for a total of 3 nights and 4 days and came three times... that should tell you something! Parking is street. Inside is mismatched antique tables and they have some cool tree/forest murals on the walls - but it's a charming hometown coffee shop vibe with some good menu items and a small bakery attached on the side (which my friend said used to be a juice stand) that sells some seriously good scones - like NOMS. What didn't I try.... I had their avocado toast which comes with a heaping serving of bean sprouts and if you want an egg you have to ask for it - it doesn't come with it. I also had a cup of their oatmeal which was perfectly cooked and covered with fresh blueberries, strawberries and raisins with honey and some brown sugar. I also had their yogurt parfait which was done really well (see photo) as they layered the yogurt and granola - which is a solid move. It was also topped with banana, blueberry, strawberry and honey. Delicious. I had a latte, mint tea, and cold brew iced coffee with the oat milk (yum). I'd never had oat milk but I'm a fan! Their cold brew is really good quality. Nice cute coffee shop on the outside, more of a bar vibe on the inside! This place has fast wifi so it makes a really good study spot. I came here with some of my friends to work and it was a really productive environment. Although the lights are dim inside, so if you are trying to read a book this might not be the place for you. I came here for lunch, but I realized that it was another hippy dippy cafe at east Austin. The food was bland, and the portions were small of the price I had to pay. The bread pudding was tasteless. When I order dessert, I expect it to taste sweet. Yes, even when it's made of bread. But even the random ice cream they put in the bread pudding bowl was sweeter than the main course it was meant to complement. The bowl of bread pudding was small too. If the bread pudding was actually good, I could have finished that on my own. But alas, a large company like Nordstrom sells better bread pudding than a local cafe here in Austin. Disappointing. The burritos were huge, but it was mostly burrito skin as opposed to filling. So every time I put that burrito in my mouth, all I tasted was baked flour. This was a cute little find off the beaten path. I visited for Brunch. The line outside was only about a 15-20 minute wait which moved fairly quickly. You order your food at the counter and take a number and they will bring it out to you. I ordered the Grilled Burrito with Chorizo and added avocado. And omg y'all. I think this was the best dang breakfast burrito I've ever had!! No joke I'm still blown away but the flavor explosion and how tasty this was. I also ordered a Hot Latte with Chocolate Syrup and Almond milk. Ugh!!!!! So!! Good!!! I wish I could pack this little place up and take it home with me. My only complaint (reason for 4 starts instead of 5) was that while we were eating a homeless man wandered in and was eating the food off of people's plates that were left behind/before they got cleared. The birds were also picking at food from people's leftover plates but I think I'd rather have to deal with the birds instead of homeless people because they also approach you while trying to eat.
