    1/2 Turkey Avocado 1/2 Ceaser

First time at Cenote's new location and I love it! It's in a great location however parking is tricky. They have a small lot behind the place in the alleyway. You order at the counter and get a number then find seating yourself. Plenty of seating both inside and out and since the weather was so good we sat outside. I got the 1/2 turkey sandwich with 1/2 ceaser and it was delicious. Loved the pickle. I also got a horchata cold brew that was good as well. Cenote has solid food at reasonable prices too!

There was a piece of hair in my food. While they did take it back and bring me a fresh plate, that destroyed my vibe. Hope you have a better experience.

Kinda torn between 3 and 4 stars. They moved locations which is sad as I enjoyed the outdoor space at the location off Cesar Chavez. This one while bigger doesn't have that same vibe. The outdoor area while similar in layout is missing that rustic charm. Inside is set up simply with booths/tables and they do have four bar seats. This is the old Revival coffee by Gabriela's shop so seeing the white walls was shocking. IYKYK Anyhoo, their menu was simple but had good options. Got the OMG breakfast which was filling. The French toast was perfect for size and the sausage was delicious too. Potatoes, the crispy ones, also great. They were seasoned well and I enjoyed the crispy ones better. Eggs were just eggs, nothing exciting. I ordered a drip coffee for $3 and when asked about refills, found out it would be a $1 for a refill. I mean, really? Why not just charge $2 more for unlimited refills? Cause the line is out the door right now and with one register, when would I be able to get a refill and pay for it? They also are using paper plates vs reusable. The restrooms door lock mechanism is just annoying. It's under the door handle and it auto releases when you test it. So how do you know it's locked?!? Not a fan. I will say the bathrooms kept some of the old color flare. lol Hence the reason I decided on 3 stars. This space has got to be big enough for 100 people (inside and out) so to have one register? This was similar to the other location so guess they prefer to have guests wait. If you come early enough, I got there about 11am on a Saturday, you maybe alright. At 11:40, the line is to 7th and has probably 25 peeps in it and growing.

Great patio and lunch spot! Stopped in mid afternoon for a late lunch and there were so many great seating options and lots of people getting work done. The space is colorful and bright inside along with porch seating and picnic tables outside! I got the chicken Caesar wrap and an iced latte. You order at the counter and our food was brought out quickly. Loved the sweet potato fries and the wrap was pretty solid too!! Perfect spot to sit outside

We stopped here for brunch on a friend's recommendation while visiting Austin and had a lovely time. The staff were friendly, the interior was so cute, the outside picnic tables were so nice in good weather, and the food and drinks were delicious!

Cenote has moved from 1st St to 7th St and it definitely feels different now. The coffee is still excellent and probably the main reason I'll keep coming back. The chilaquiles used to be my favorite but this time the egg came on the side and the paper plates just didn't hold up. For the price I'd like to see it made the way it used to be, so I'll probably stick with coffee and a pastry until they settle in. Service was polite and considerate. My coffee order was a little mixed up but they offered to remake it and made sure I was happy. That goes a long way and I think once the team gets more experience it will be great. The new space has both indoor and outdoor seating which is nice, but the vibe is not quite the same as the old location. It feels smaller and more like a café stop than the cozy neighborhood spot it used to be.

    Iced Matcha Latte
    Michelle C.

Was looking to go to this specific matcha place, but it was closed, so we stopped by Cenote for some matcha lattes. It was good, but it extremely sweet. Don't get me wrong, I love sweets! But I'm used to drinking high grade/quality matcha as is or with minor sweetener as you can still detect the quality of matcha. However, their matcha was so sweet that I couldn't tell, but rather just the sugar. I don't recommend it unless you like your matcha extremely sweet.

Cenote is a really cozy spot to hunker down for a nice brunch and study session. Inside is aesthetic, with green wood paneling around the place, and decor to complement the more vintage vibe. Outside is also quite nice, as there is plenty of shaded outdoor seating, which is also shielded from the street noise (although the area already appears fairly quiet). I ordered the BLAT sandwich ($12), and I was very pleased with it. The bread had a nice crispiness, yet not so much that it was painful to eat, which I have had my fair share of before. The bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato all complemented each other nicely (as do most BLTs), and I was satiated after eating it all. My friend ordered the Avocado Toast and had only glowing things to say about it, claiming that it was the best avocado toast that she has ever had. To top it all off, the service around was very friendly. Once we were done our food, our plates got whisked away without us having to do anything. It is also nice that there is a water self-service station and cups, so you do not have to wait to get more. Would give 5/5 but did personally feel it was on the pricier side. Would recommend and come again though!

    Classic Breakfast
    Jeff B.

Good service, nice atmosphere, and decent food. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. I had the classic breakfast with over medium and bacon. The eggs came over hard, and the bacon was pretty good. The home fries were pretty good, and the biscuit was really good. I didn't really like the jam since it was pretty runny. However, it did have a good strawberry flavor. The coffee was good. I liked the rustic style of the restaurant. It has both indoors and lots of outdoor seating. Parking is extremely limited, so be prepared to walk a block or two, especially on Sunday mornings. It is not romantic but kind of intimate on how it feels like eating at home. So if you are looking for a place to have a nice cup of Joe with some food in a casual restaurant, then stop by Cenote and give it a try.

Heard they are closing soon so you may wanna check them out if you haven't already There was a hugeee line on the weekend (out the door). Dunno if that's typical. The wait time in line was a while, but once we placed our orders, it was so quick! I like how they serve drinks pretty much as soon as we order. The interior colors are nice!! Chai latte-slightly sweet and super delicious. I got half sandwich, half salad. The turkey and avocado sandwich was ok but I think the mango in the salad wasn't ripe yet. Free street parking or you can park at the church lot (not on Sundays).

Been wanting to try Cenote for a while! Went with a large group on a Saturday morning. The place was packed with a line that went way out the front door, but I was pleasantly surprised that it's an order-at-the-counter service. The line moved pretty fast, and we were somehow all able to find seating together on their outdoor patio! The food came as it was prepared, which we appreciated. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was pretty darn good! I got the chilaquiles with added pork belly, but I wish I'd gotten my neighbors more standard eggs/bacon/potatoes breakfast. All in all it's a great and vibey spot, wonderful service, and I'll look forward to going back!

We came here one late morning after walking along the river. We had a couple of their dirty homemade chai lattes, 2 chorizo breakfast tacos, and a side of sweet potato fries. All of it was delicious! It was definitely a great stop and we would come back and visit again. Super cute place with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly service too! Note-if you're walking, the area has many homeless and there is a mission nearby that provides free meals. We happened to be walking through at meal time, so it was a little intimidating, but the food and drink was definitely worth it.

Inviting space with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were super kind and helpful. You order at the counter and they bring food out to you and you pick up your drinks by the barista station. They also bus your tables here which is super nice. All of their syrups are homemade and they have a great variety of latte flavors. I got the migas which were yummy and a good sized portion. I'd definitely come back here.

After saying "we need to go there" at least 30 times, we finally went there and boyyy howdy it did not disappoint! The Cuban and club were 10/10 perfect! The bread was so fresh, crispy where it needed to be, and buttery in all the right places. It was a perfectly balanced sandwich ratio, not too thick, not too thin, and came with chips or potato salad. The in-house beer is great, and there's something for anyone's tastes, plus non alcoholic options. The parking is shared and gets packed in the evening or you have to pay to park if you are unable to find anything in the lot or on the street. Handsome Dans has a sign directing you to the back where they are located. The vibe is true to a bait shop/diner it's casual with a rustic feel, they have a large covered patio adjacent to Stargazer bar. I highly suggest sitting outside if possible because the inside does get a bit claustrophobic and smokey when it's packed and they are smashing paninis on the press with no proper kitchen overhead vents. The type of greasy smoke you get when you are making super buttery sandwiches on a hot press. The sandwiches are ok but not something I would go out of my way to have ,our kids liked the hotdogs and Frito pies which were also kind of "upper class" gas station quality. Most of the stuff here is food that probably tastes way better after drinking several beers. It's like any normal sandwich you could make at home and toss in a panini press to be honest. Really good beers on tap and friendly staff who seemed to disappear to the back quite a bit and came back confused. They didn't know if they had already given me my food because I was ordering and paying for extra food after more people in our party arrived. They literally saw my food I already had on the table from my previous order and thought they gave me double of what I ordered hahaha. I can't make a judgment because I have no clue what they kept dispersing to the back for but can just say the confusion was real, LOL. All together if I had to come back it be because someone I knew wanted to try it. Otherwise for me it's a one and done. I got the pictures I stood next to a sign ,I had the Signiture sandwiches, now I'm moving on. I can say I've been there done that. I'm guessing that a college crowd or just being a single person who just wants to be amongst people that this is the type of lowkey place to go if you're not into the typical Longhorn hangouts. You stop in ,have some beers, eat a low budget ingredient expensive panini sandwich and chill till you have to call yourself a Waymo cause the beer is good and strong.

Whether offering seating or sharing more about their menu:) That said, Sour Duck Market is a great place to come for a relaxed atmosphere and enjoyment. They have seating out back, some spots out front, and inside. I come here to study, but it's also a great spot to have a time with family and friends. The true yelp topic, however, is the food. And let's just say I'm on board with what others have said. I have tried the burgers, fries, sweets/pastries, and of course the drinks. My favorite of all these is a brisket sandwich with their fries! The brisket itself has an amazing sauce which I heard is made in house. This sauce is also used on the burgers and if you order either with their amazingly seasoned fries you won't be disappointed! As for drinks, I loved the Mexicano latte, that's my personal favorite. The spices and the espresso is well balanced and is my go to drink. That said, it is my favorite. They also have a caramel latte, but it is on the sweeter side. It's good, but sweeter than my liking. As for any pastries you get, I tried some of their fan favorite which include the honey cake and wow! As a baker myself, I quite enjoyed this cake since it was moist and the frosting itself was the perfect consistency and texture. It was also not too sweet and not overly powerful, but added what it needed to the cake. Anyways, I come here often, and would recommend to those looking for a sweet spot to enjoy with family.
