Was staying in downtown Austin so walked to Jo's. Ordered a latte and breakfast tacos (potato and egg). The taco was great, latte was good but want anything memorable. Plenty of seating, both interior and exterior.

I popped in for a quick latte and I was pleasantly surprised that they offered a ube (Taro) latte. It was so good! The barista was so sweet. I am so glad I decided to stop by

Avocado Toast ($14), Buttermilk Stack ($10), Side of Eggs ($3)

Love this cute spot downtown for breakfast tacos and lattes. The buttermilk pancakes are divine ($10). The avocado toast ($14) is fine too - the eggs were perfectly cooked, and I liked the addition of the feta. Though it seems like they ran out of sourdough bread so just use regular white bread. There's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are always lovely.

    Snickerdoodle latte half sweet

Look - I can do a flavored latte, I enjoy it. But gawd damn this shit is so sweet / syrupy it's not even drinkable. I did the snickerdoodle HALF SWEET and she even called out the HALF SWEET when she gave me it. If this is half sweet, I can't even imagine what the normal tastes like. I won't be able to drink it but I am a baby who is too scared to ask them to remake. If you actually like coffee, do yourself a favor and don't even mess with a flavored drink here.

Jo's is so iconic, so I was very hopeful that my first visit would be good. I decided to grab some breakfast tacos at this downtown location, and I was excited because I am a breakfast taco fiend. I thought the outdoor seating in front of the coffee shop looked so cute with the rainbow lights. I got two potato breakfast tacos and one bacon breakfast taco. They both come with eggs and cheese in them. These breakfast tacos were unfortunately some of the most mid ones I have ever had, and it was $15 for three. The salsa added some flavour, but the tacos themselves had such a plain taste. They reminded me of the $2 breakfast tacos I sometimes buy from the hospital cafeteria.

Great chicken and waffle. Hearty and delicious. It has cinnamon, and the chicken is crispy and perfectly cooked. They're stingy with the syrup, but always happy to stop by when I'm in the area. Love the turbo coffee too.

Amazing coffee shop in the heart of downtown Austin! I was in the mood for some hot chocolate in this 39 degree weather and it was perfectly made!

Must try the turbo iced coffee ! We actually went back again the second day bc it was so delicious. The breakfast burrito is killer- get some Greek yogurt on the side to use as sour cream.. it was delish!!

The green cold foam scared at first and wasn't the prettiest color mixed with the coffee but this honey pistachio latte was incredibly delicious. Not too sweet and very flavorful

you guys. LAVENDER HONEY LATTE is rare to find and they had it and i'm obsessed. also... i have never had a breakfast panini as incredible and satisfying as this.

I was taking a lunch walk solo and I had a pretty good pace and ended up on 2nd street. This coffee is delicious, I recommend the latte it's $5 and delicious. They have seats outside and the view is great, lots of shade and lots of bird sounds. The service was a little slow but nothing bad, just don't anticipate a quick coffee, it's a more laid back take your time type of place. Must try in AUSTIN!

The staff was super nice and welcoming. It's feels like a retro coffee shop, very cute. I got a bacon breakfast taco, it was very tasty and the side salsa was a nice addition. The iced Turbo was very tasty, I highly recommend trying it

    Double stack and breakfast taco.

Jo's is iconic so we had to try it even though the overall Yelp rating is under 4 stars. We were greeted with a friendly, "Welcome y'all" from a young man with cool old school glasses and a mullet (!!). W ordered two Migas tacos (one would be enough for me, but definitely two for him) and I ordered the Double Stack. Not usually a pancake girl, but they sounded good! And we both had almond milk lattes. The lattes were good--nothing special, but not disappointing either. The tacos had scrambled egg, cheese, and pico. Said it came with tortilla strips, but there was no crunch in the tacos, and we didn't see chips in them. Wrapped in a flour tortilla, and W asked for the spicy hot sauce. Overall pretty tasty. The flapjacks were fluffy with a slightly crispy exterior. They don't put butter on them, which is good for us because W doesn't like butter (some kind of birth defect, I think...), and they have grass fed butter at the table. I ate half the stack and W ate the rest. Overall, glad we came! Cute, clean spot right across from the W Austin hotel where we stayed. We also stopped at the location on Congress for a pic under the iconic I Love You wall.

Not sure if all the burgers are always cooked well-done, but that's how ours were made (and was never asked if I wanted otherwise). Also ordered a side of fried plantains that came with a small cup of ketchup. They were harder than I was expecting, and not to salted. Next time I think I'd just order the fries. Waited at the window to order for several minutes while the guy took a phone call, then had a hard time hearing him take my order since he was still on his call and had his mask on (pandemic issues...and maybe this is where he asked how I wanted my burgers cooked?? Who knows, couldn't hear him!). Then it took awhile for the order to come out. By the time I got the food and back to our table, our friends had already purchased and eaten their food from other food trucks, so that was a bummer. Good option if you're in the food truck park. Just be prepared to spend time waiting to order and get your food. Tip: ask if you can have your burger cooked medium or medium rare. If you prefer it that way, of course.

They were one of the few food trucks in this area that was open during the daytime. The majority of the other options are open later at night when the bar scene is crowded. The bad: The brisket sandwich tasted mostly of just BBQ sauce and the brisket was cut up in small weird chunks. There was melted orange cheese on it that was also unappetizing. We didn't want the caramelized onions so we asked for raw onions but the cashier/cook didn't speak English so the most we could communicate was "no onions." Also, the payment machine was all in Spanish (for selecting tip, signature, etc) so you better brush up on your Spanish if you're paying by credit card! There were cigarette butts on the ground and on the tables and a homeless person hanging out at the benches as well. I ordered fries at first but they were sold out. The interesting: The sandwiches are open-faced.

It's not a gimmick if they have good food…read more Handsome Dan's has been on my list to try for months, but I've been on a keto diet most of the time, so a bunch of restaurants have been put on a "someday" list. Last week I was on a break from keto, and my husband read my mind. He took me here as the first stop on a rainy Friday night date. I know they have good sandwiches, but they also have their "bait shop" schtick. They're not near any significant fishing spots, and I didn't see any evidence of bait, but whatever. Their sandwiches are good, so they can get away with it. While I ate my sandwich on the patio, we discussed the novelty nature of many Austin businesses, and which ones can hold up and which ones are pure hype. I ordered the Club sandwich. It's not a true triple-decker club, but it was the sandwich that had the best variety of fillings in my opinion. Everything you'd expect in a classic club, but easier to eat because it wasn't stacked absurdly tall like other clubs. The sourdough bread was very crispy, and the meats, cheese, and vegetables worked well inside. On the side I got potato salad which I like more than their other option, which was chips, but the potato salad wasn't anything special. Their patio was the perfect spot to enjoy a rainstorm. They have some glider chairs off to the side that are good for lounging on, but when it really started to rain we moved in to the center of the patio. I'm glad I got a chance to try Handsome Dan's. I doubt I'll be back anytime soon because huge sandwiches like this need to be an occasional treat for me, but if you're in the Springdale area looking for a satisfying meal, this is it!

Having enjoyed plenty of authentic Philly cheesesteaks over the years...many of them in Philadelphia itself...I approached this food truck with a healthy dose of skepticism. As soon as I arrived, I met Armand, who told me that he and his brother started the food truck about seven years ago. He was warm, personable, and genuinely Texas-friendly, which immediately set a positive tone for the experience. Ordering a cheesesteak is a simple three-step process: 1) Pick your cheese. 2) Choose your toppings. 3) Be polite and place your order. (I loved that part!) I ordered the cheesesteak with American cheese and grilled onions, along with a side of fries. Let me tell you...this sandwich completely exceeded my expectations! For a moment, I felt like I was back in Philly. The bread was soft, fresh, and flavorful. The steak was unbelievably tender and packed with flavor...so good that I couldn't stop talking about it. The portion size was generous enough for two people, so I ended up sharing half with the hubs. Needless to say, R&B's Steak and Fries turned this cheesesteak skeptic into a believer.
