Beer menu on 4/1/2026

We love stopping into Cellarmaker for dinner & beers anytime we're in Oakland for work. This space is large and airy with a comfortable atmosphere. There is ample seating, including a small bar along the open brewery and a patio outside. We absolutely love their pizza. The Detroit style pizza is delicious and the 4 slices are easy to split between 2 people. If you're extra hungry, their Ceasar salad is really good. They always have a large selection of house brewed beers in a variety of styles; a huge reason why we love coming here. We know there will always be core beers we're familiar with along with new ones to try. Bartenders are always incredibly friendly and if it happens to be a slow day or night, conversation with them is pleasant. Definitely a gem! You can't go to Oakland without popping into Cellarmaker.

We stopped into Cellarmaker Brewing Company during a day of brewery hopping in Oakland and liked the overall experience. We ordered the Young Guava Be Kidding Me apple guava seltzer, which was light and refreshing, and we also tried the Fête de Pils, a French pilsner, which we weren't the biggest fans of. There was a good variety on the menu, so it felt like there were options for different preferences. We ordered a supreme pizza to go with our drinks. It ended up being much spicier than expected, which caught me off guard a bit, but the flavor was still good. The crust really stood out, with a great texture that held everything together well. Even though we only had the pizza, everything coming out of the kitchen looked really yummy and worth trying on a future visit. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, making it easy to hang out for a while.

As longtime fans of the original Cellarmaker location from our days living in San Francisco, we were incredibly excited to check out their Oakland spot. We made it a pitstop on our drive up to Napa on a Thursday afternoon around 1:00 PM, and it did not disappoint. We found easy street parking right outside, and walked around the corner to find their large garage doors open, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The Vibe & Exceptional Service Because it was a weekday afternoon, the taproom was fairly quiet, and we easily snagged a couple of seats at the bar. The bartender was absolutely wonderful, super welcoming, friendly, and chatty. What really stood out was watching her connect with every other customer who walked in, making everyone feel right at home. The Drinks As expected from Cellarmaker, the beer list is extensive and incredibly tempting. You almost want to work your way through the entire board! We opted for a few tasters to pair with lunch. While every pour was amazing, the absolute highlight of the trip was their Barleywine, a true standout that you shouldn't miss if it's on tap. The Food We ordered a mix of slices and a salad to share: The Detroit-Style Slices: My husband grabbed a slice of the Cheese and the Bolognese, while I went with the Pesto. The pizza has a fantastic, thick crust, and my slice featured a wonderfully generous helping of flavorful pesto. The Caesar Salad: Word of warning from a self-proclaimed Caesar salad freak: this salad is massive and definitely meant for sharing! We ended up splitting it, and it was phenomenal. The dressing was rich, delicious, and creamy, topped with perfectly crispy, well-seasoned croutons. The Verdict Whether you are a longtime fan or a first-timer, this location is an absolute must-visit. Incredible hospitality, top-tier beers, and fantastic food. We will absolutely be back whenever we're in the area!

Came here on our kid free date night and it was such a treat! Our waiter and the bar tender were both very accommodating and friendly, the service was great! Weather was also perfect to pair with our delicious Detroit Style pizza. I love how cheesy, crispy and crunchy the crust was. It was definitely a place I'd bring my friends to chit chat, another kid free date night with my husband or a nice corporate event for employees.

We stopped by Cellarmaker Oakland for lunch after visiting the Oakland Vintage Market. They weren't super busy on a Saturday, but it may have been an awkward time of day. The interior was spacious with the typical industrial vibe of a brewery, and full of plants. I especially loved the hanging plants on the bar. We ordered right from the table (Toast QR Code), which was convenient. We skipped drinks and just ordered food. I chose the Autumn Harvest Salad and Detroit Red Top Slice, and we also got Triple Cooked Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts for the table. Both the Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts were awesome! They were perfectly crispy and everything had great flavor. My Red Top Slice was just alright. I'm definitely partial to thin-crust pizza, and this one was a bit too greasy for me. There was also just so much dough in comparison to the toppings. My Autumn Harvest Salad was very large! I feel like this was also a shareable item, but I ended up taking half of it home for dinner. I liked the salad, although it may have been better with a different cheese - blue is just a bit overpowering. Overall, solid for lunch!

Pretzel chips

We'd already eaten lunch, so we stopped in planning to sample a beer flight. Turns out they don't do traditional flights, but they do offer 5-oz pours of all 12 of their beers, which honestly worked just as well. The pours come out on a board with a description of each beer, which was a nice touch and made it easy to keep track of what we were trying. We ended up tasting three different beers along with a pineapple tonic...everything was really good and we liked a few of them enough to grab some to take home. As soon as we sat down, I noticed the pretzel chips on another table and had to order them. For five bucks, they're an absolute steal. Fresh, crunchy, and paired perfectly with the honey mustard dip. Definitely worth getting. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and checked in on us just the right amount without hovering. The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars is that it was pretty chilly inside a little heat on a cold day would have made it much more comfortable. Other than that, great beer, good snacks, and a solid experience overall.

Beautiful bathroom

The pizza is delicious. The bartender explained the menu and described different beer options and flavors. I attended a party and the space was roomy and had an open garage type door for an indoor outdoor feel. They were playing women's college basketball on the big screen. Cleanest bar bathroom I have ever seen!

The original Cellarmaker location downtown SF was an absolute favorite brewery- super tiny, loved, and really personal both with other customers and the staff. This new location in Oakland kind of feels the opposite: it's new and modern, but so impersonal as everything is done through your phone. The space is conveniently located around other breweries, so it's easy to add to a beer crawl. They have a solid food menu too, the salad I had was wonderfully fresh. The pizza was great too. I was thankful they still had the old style menus, brought to the table on a thick clipboard. Of course their beer is still lovely. If you're a beer fan and want to experience Cellarmaker's beers, this is a good place to do it.

So many good flavors in these pickles, you can taste the fennel and all the spices in the pickle juice.

Here's were fantastic and although I didn't try the pizza I would say the pickles well quite simple or so darn delicious! Any pickle lover must try these pickles with a beer!

Marinated Gigante Beans
Chris W.

Great service, food came out fast, clean space, family friendly. Top notch beers, generous list of draft options with different sized pour options. Larger space than CHOP in SF with plenty of tables both indoors and outside. Food was fine, the marinated gigante beans were very salty, but other dishes were good.

Porky fig, mushroom pizza and red top
Angela C.

We had a caesar salad and their seasonal autumn harvest salad that was great. The casear was pretty typical but the autumn harvest salad was awesome. We also grabbed 3 pizzas including the red top, mushroom, and porky fig. Out of the three, the red top was the best. The tomatoes were very fresh and you could taste some acidity from the tomatoes in the pizza. I liked the mushroom pizza next and the porky fig was good but not quite what I was expecting. They are detroit style pizzas so they are on the thicker side but they are great. Overall, a little pricey but good stuff.

16" CM Supreme

4.5 stars! So happy this location opened up nearby! Had the guava cider and it was quite nice and refreshing! The QR code menu and ordering is great and the servers were quick and very helpful. Totally loved the vibe - on a Friday night there was a DJ with a set and it really made the meal enjoyable! As far as food - definitely liked their in house Caesar salad and pepperoni pizza! The CM supreme is actually spicy - so beware! This is why I deducted half a star - they probably should indicate spice levels on their menu. The ricotta and corn pizza was comforting and delicious! Keep the lactaid ready if you're lactose sensitive! I'm keeping them in my pocket for another pizza dinner here soon!

A very potent flight!

You order at the counter, either for takeout or to eat there. Watching the open kitchen is part of the fun. You can see the whole process, and it runs like a well-oiled assembly line. They were surprisingly busy for a Monday night, but pizzas came out fast and piping hot. The atmosphere is lively and fun. There's a fridge stocked with bottles of beer, wine, and soda, plus red and white wine by the glass (and genuinely good!). There's a small parking lot, but it fills up, so you may need to park on the street. There's plenty of street parking around, although the area can feel a little iffy depending on where you end up.

My second visit was closing weekend with a group of friends. I got to try two more flavors recommended by the server during my first visit - blackberry and longanisa. Both were very good in different ways. I think I preferred the blackberry slightly over longanisa. They had a lot of take out orders that day, and we got the last white dough (there were still Ube). Good thing we got what we got. Even though they were super busy, the service was still quick and pizza came out fast. I heard they opened up again in San Francisco but for take out only. So glad they reopened because after having the amazing pizzas right before they closed on Oakland, my friends and I were sad that we didn't go sooner. Can't wait to try again in the future.

Longanisa - Filipino inspired with longanisa, baked egg, and tomato. Savory and sweet. Heaviest of the three pizzas. Comes with a side of sweet vinegar to drizzle on top. All three of these pizzas easily are favorites for me. They're super large and best to share with 2-3 people. I don't know why the pies cost so much, but they are only a few blocks from our place, so I want to support the few restaurants that set up shop in West Oakland. However, I'm starting to sour on this place. I don't mind overpaying for pizza; that's just edible, but on a few occasions, I've been appalled by what these folks try to get away with. A couple of months ago, they gave us a pie that was so burnt I had to call to complain, and they replaced it with a less burnt pie. Perhaps they don't know that extremely burnt food is full of carcinogens. This week, we ordered our usual 18-inch pie. This pie was a Frankenstein pie; half of it tasted like it had been sitting under the lamp all day. A telltale sign is how stiff the cheese is; the old dough feels as if I'm chewing on rubber, and the slices are stiff and salty overall, though some slices taste a bit fresher and crunchier. I was disappointed. If you're going to overcharge for mediocre pizza, the least you could do is give people what they are paying for. If I wanted old, stale pizza, I would've asked for the slices that sit under the lamp all day. Moving forward, if we order from this place, I will walk over, place the order, and wait for it, so we don't get cheated again. This place is a reminder of why certain restaurants often fail. The food is overpriced, and they are inconsistent with their service, if not disrespectful, in how they sometimes treat and feed their customers. We're not pigs; we just like eating the sweet little pig.

We also ordered a side of their blue cheese and basil ranch. I didn't know ranch could get any better than plain ranch. Basil ranch was bright and also creamy. I've been here a few times before to watch a warriors game. They've got tons of seating and of course they stream all of the games.
