He completely understood my predicament and that time was of the essence. He asked for the make and model of my laptop and gave me a few options that would be the utmost convenient for me with minimal disruption to my work. The battery came in and unfortunately it wasn't a battery issue but that my laptop was well past it's prime and toast. Chase, an employee was incredibly helpful with answering all my questions on what type of laptop to purchase for my needs. He offered to remove any data needed off the laptop and also offered to dispose of my laptop. So yes, I didn't end up needing their services and yes, I am still leaving a 5 star review. They determined that the motherboard had failed and the hard drive was corrupted. They recommended getting a new laptop versus repairing the existing unit. We talked about recovering the data from the hard drive which would have been fairly costly. Fortunately, my new laptop was able to retrieve my data from the cloud. When I returned to QES to pick up my dead Lenovo, they billed me only the $60 diagnosis charge when they easily could have charged much more for effort to recover data.
