Went here on a double date and i would definitely return. While we were early and didn't get to see any belly dancing, I'm sure it's a fun experience! Started with the falafelicious pizza and it was cheesy and delicious. 3 of us had lamb chops and the were incredible. Tender and flavorful. Drinks were also good. Service was good but the seemed confused about my dine around Maryland membership at first - they eventually figured it out. Great spot for a date night downtown.

Cazbar is excellent! We stopped in here for dinner before a show at the Lyric. The menus are on tablets, which I thought was interesting. Our server was wonderful, explaining different menu items to us as we hadn't been there before. He recommended the Sultan's platter, which had a little taste of everything, and this was perfect! We got to try all of the mezzes, which I loved. Served with house bread, it included hummus, baba ghanoush, saksuka, and other dips. Each were excellent - and the server explained what each one was when served. The entree plate was excellent as well - portions for two for each of the different proteins, including salmon, shrimp, chicken, and beef. Served with either rice and orzo or quinoa. The meal was complimented perfectly with pistachio baklava for each of us. We had plenty of leftovers to take home as well. It was a delicious meal and I will be back!

Came here for lunch couple weeks ago service was great. Ambience was very relaxed. They have a beautiful upstairs. Space you gotta see it. I would definitely return and for the amount of food that you get for $20 is really a great deal, this should be in all the time hangouts but I'll definitely return as well as host some events here.

Cazbar is a hidden gem in downtown Baltimore. We were in town for a wedding and wanted to eat something different before heading out. We lucked up on finding Cazbar. The service and food was amazing, the lamb was my favorite but trying the flatbread was an experience. It was spicy, but I couldn't stop eating it. Now don't underestimate the level of alcohol in the drinks. The pic with the drink in the ice, I had to slowly sip it thru out the meal in order to Make it to the wedding later that evening. There was nothing that we order that wasn't fabulous!! And the server took the extra time walk us thru the menu to ensure we knew about each item. This place was beautiful!!! A must try!

Cazbar is such a vibe. The food was delicious. The salmon was well seasoned and flavorful--I definitely recommend! We missed the belly dance show--I wish they had more times or lasted longer.

Cazbar is a great pick if you like entertainment with your meal! Turkish belly dancers will dance between patrons at certain times of the evening (check website). My friends and I gathered here for a birthday and had a great time. The espresso martini was well made and the chicken sauté (English translation lol) was a generous portion. Everyone enjoyed their picks! Service was stellar!

Went to Happy Hour last time I came here was pre-covid I'm glad they are still open the food was very good and happy hour prices very affordable

    Turkish coffee, delicious!

We visited the Cazbar location in Baltimore City for lunch to celebrate our anniversary and chose the three course lunch special. From the first bite to the last, everything was excellent. The cabbage soup was hearty and comforting, the hummus was smooth and flavorful, and the baba ghanoush had that perfect smoky depth that makes you want to linger over it. The warm bread at the table did not last long because it was too good. For our entrées, I had the kofte kebap and my husband had the chicken kebap. The kofte was rich, perfectly grilled, and full of flavor. It was the kind of dish you finish while already planning to order it again next time. The chicken was tender, juicy, and beautifully seasoned. Portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, and the prices were more than fair for the quality. Our server, Azlz, gave thoughtful recommendations, surprised us with a Turkish coffee on the house, and made us feel like welcome guests rather than customers. The pacing of the meal was spot on. Plates were cleared and the next course arrived smoothly and efficiently without ever feeling rushed. At one point we asked to move to another table to give a large party more space, and the host did not just agree, he encouraged us to pick whichever table we liked. That kind of easy hospitality stood out. The restaurant itself has a calming atmosphere, with the subtle scent of incense adding to the experience. We could not resist picking up a couple of Dubai chocolate bars for the road. And dessert was the pistachio cream sponge cake, which we shared. It was divine, the perfect middle ground between rich and airy, indulgent but not heavy, and something you will be glad you did not skip. Cazbar delivered on every front: food, service, and atmosphere. A memorable anniversary lunch and a place we would recommend without hesitation.

I was in Baltimore for a conference and some friends and I decided to have dinner here. The food is really good: very flavorful and lots of vegetarian options. We liked everything we ordered. Very comfortable ambiance and nice service. Lovely cocktails. Definitely recommend.

Came for a timeleft dinner. Calamari was tasty and perfectly fried. The Doner pide was *chef's kiss*; not too bready with a good amount of meat. We finished the meal with their baklava (10/10). I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

We learned quite a bit about Turkish dining, as typically uninformed Americans. The food was great, with nice big portions. The waitstaff is wonderful. Answered all of our questions (we had many). Patient. Observant. Couldn't have been better. We went on a weeknight and it was surprisingly empty. Our waiter said it's usually much busier. And especially so on weekends, mostly due to the belly dancers (Fridays and Saturdays I believe). We'll definitely be returning. Really great restaurant.

It is worth walking around the restaurant to view all the pretty decorations. The menus are media pads that don't get wiped off (gross). I don't understand how a restaurant that has technology (and a robot busser) can't sort out separate checks. Groups of six or more are charged a 20% service charge. Large groups are charged a $25 fee for using a credit card. My suggestion is stop handing out the pretty bags for leftovers and get rid of the credit card fee. We have a group of eight that meets once a month. We won't be back as a group. It might be fun to return sometime with less people and watch belly dancing. The menu is extensive (a bit confusing on the media pad) and has vegan and vegetarian options. The portions are decent. The items are flavorful and most are pricey. Guests who split a dish with someone are charged $15 for not ordering an entree. The watermelon margarita was pretty. I appreciated pitchers of water at the table. The cold hummus trio was tiny and tasty. The red lentil soup was nicely seasoned and barely warm. The sweet potatoes were nicely presented, flavorful and not filling. The red sauce wasn't too spicy but ketchup tasted better. The lamb moussak eggplant dish was large. The Doneri Iskender lamb dish was $10 more with bread and sauce. The vegetable kebab had zucchini & squash. My friend didn't want the rice & bread so she substituted a salad. $40 for a skewer & small salad seemed excessive. The salad with chicken was large. Everyone enjoyed the lamb. The desserts were large enough to share. The noodle breaded dessert was interesting. I enjoyed seeing the dishes. The Chocolate cake was yummy. The baklava was sweet and good. They only had the green flavor. The server was mostly locked into our needs. The manager gave everyone a pretty to go bag. You can see the menu on your phone & can avoid the over used media pad.

The Musakka dishes are served with a side of rice pilaf and the Omelete with a side of fries. Bottom line - all three of us found the entrees to be bland. In fairness, I have only had Greek Musakka before, but I expected more seasoning and flavor, and my friend (the vegetarian) noted that they didn't get a hint of Bechamel - only mozzarella. I tend to agree the entree was heavy on the mozzarella and light on other flavors. We agreed that the rice was very good, both in texture and mild flavor. The french fries also were very good. The service here continues to be beyond excellent. Really good service. If I could give 3.5 as a score, I would, because the service was exceptional. But this is the second time I was here and both times found the entree to be bland. Maybe that's how Turkish food is - if so, please let me know, but I doubt it. Lots to like at Smyrna!…read more I highly recommend the 3-course express lunch menu, which includes a starter and dessert. At $24 as of this writing, this is a great value! Decorated in clean blue and white colors, Smyrna has an appealing feel. Smyrna also has a rear patio open during good weather. We were started out with very decent complimentary warm pita bread. For my first (starter) course, I ordered the chicken avgolemono soup. While the soup was packed with tender chicken, I was disappointed that the soup didn't really have much of a tart, lemony flavor. It actually was bland. But what more than made up for the avgolemono soup was the beef Keftdedes I chose for my second course. This dish came with absolutely the best tomato-based sauce I've ever had anywhere anytime! Delicious and fabulous!! The beef keftdedes were plump ground beef patties served over little squares of pita bread and topped with the tomato sauce and also a yogurt sauce. JP ordered the Imam Bayildi, which was good. It came with roasted eggplant, diced tomatoes and diced onions. For our third course (dessert), I ordered the Revani, which was a moist dense semolina cake topped with ice cream and chocolate shavings. Outstanding flavor and texture. Perfect!
