4 words- party in your mouth! I love this fresh take on a Chipotle but almost Mediterranean style/ maybe a tad bit healthier. The line was quick and efficient and I had a great experience overall. I gotta be honest: I really don't know half of what was in my bowl or what I was putting in my mouth. What I do know: it tasted FANTASTIC. Like I said, a whole party of flavors, sweet, salty, crunchy, creamy, leafy, all the textures and flavors and it just worked. Their specialty lemonade/ flavored drink things were also phenomenal and so refreshing, and super good for you. If I lived in the area Cava would be a place I'd hit up pretty frequently!

Definitely a fan!  You can't go wrong with this place!...It's fast, healthy, quality ingredients and most of all...delicious!! I have been to several CAVA locations around the city and they all are good....and the consistency is there too! This location is no exception. They have a pretty focused menu where you choose greens or rice bowl...or both!  You work you way down the down selecting ingredients for your meal and over 13+ toppings....like Lentils, Eggplant + Roasted Red Pepper, Harissa, Organic Roasted Garlic Hummus, Olives, Tomatoes, Pickeled Peppers, Cucumbers....Meats: Grilled Chicken, Spicy Lamb Meatballs, Roasted Vegetables Vegetarian options.   Think of a Mediterranean version of Chipolte. I typically go for the the Splendid Greens & Rice Bowl with a mix of lentils, hummus-harissa dips, couscous, plethora of veggies...all with the Spicy Lamb Meatballs!....It is nothing but the truth!!  A healthy gospel of goodness in a bowl.  I opt for the grilled chicken at times with this combination, to change things up every now and then. In all, it is an excellent and tasty meal at a great value --considering its the healthy way to go.  The food at CAVA is very fresh made of high quality ingredients. The meats, sauces and dressings are seasoned and has really good flavor. There are vegetarian options too. I will admit thought that it is a bit pricey when it comes to looking for a economical, cheap lunch options....but for the portion size and healthy option aspect...it is totally worth it! * PRO TIP: Use their app frequently to earn rewards and free meals!  Also, free bowl ($9.00) credit for your Birthday!!

Order pending for 10:40, but they close at 10 and nobody could even answer the phone.

We placed an order on Ubereats at 9:15, we'll before they closed. Not sure if they are understaffed or the messages aren't going through, but we were supposed to get our delivery by "latest 10:10" and at 10:10 it said they were still preparing our order? Well, they are definitely closed and it seems we will never get our food, but if I knew we would have ordered from another place. Considering it's now 10:30 not sure there are places open, definitely disappointing and not planning to order with them again because of lack of communication.

I love going to this place! When I need a nice healthy meal this place takes the cake. I love greens and I love grains. I love the combination option. Sometimes they can be a little skimpy on the toppings- like yesterday when I went and I kept having to say a little more please after each time. The worker was catching a slight attitude but since I am trying to be a better person I didnt call her out on it or let it effect my mood. Price is reasonable, parking can be tough. Love the place. Cava supervisor if you see this, please tell employees dont get mad if I want a little more banana peppers =) Thank you!!

Gypsy kitchen This…read moreplace is quite good. I really love the charcuterie board and the cauliflower was amazing. This was the first time I've been impressed by charcuterie from a restaurant. The Spanish cheese (Mahón) along with the crackers and mustard sauce was superb. All the meats had their own characteristics and unique flavors but the jamón stood out to us the most. It even went well with the sauce that came for our cauliflower dish. It was fun piecing the components together to make unique tasty bites. I would come back just for the charcuterie alone. The drinks we got were Angelli's Ferrari along with the espresso martini-ish. My favorite was definitely the Ferrari one, but the espresso martini was super mild and had a slight coffee flavor. Good for people who like very light coffee. The Ferrari one was very bright and had lots of fruity notes to hide the alcohol. For entrées, we had the shakshouka, crispy, cauliflower, and brunch pork belly. Out of all these the cauliflower was definitely my favorite; super light with good earthy flavors and nuttiness and acidity from the lemon. The brunch pork belly was good too. The meat was perfectly cooked, but I found the beans to be a little bit overwhelming. I'm not a fan of baked beans personally so that might've been my fault for picking the dish, but I still did enjoy it and the pork that was well cooked made up for it; definitely for someone who likes beans. Shakshouka was very hearty with a lot of tomatoes and red vegetables in general. If you like lasagna or any sort of tomato spaghetti dish, you will like this one. I found this to be a bit much though. I was slightly tired of the flavor at the end. Just be aware it is a bit spicy. We had a pear tart for dessert. Honestly, it reminded me of an apple pie and it was good, but I think that some of the other desserts would've been a bit better. Had a lot of sweet cinnamon notes along some crispy flaky dough from the outside. It was an interesting take but it was still good. The atmosphere is great here; we had seating on the second floor, so it was different from the busy first floor. Very relaxed and there's a lot of natural light coming around which made everything feel very welcoming. Our server was also super friendly. I will definitely be back at this place

Brunch !! We had a…read moregreat time & enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant very much! We went on a day they werent very busy, so that was a plus, but our service could have been better. They forgot one of our benedicts & when it came out, it looked smaller than the other one. My main issue is that they promote that they have vegan options, but they really do not. The crispy cauliflower is about the only thing that is vegan on the menu. While I do occasionally eat meat, most everything had dairy in it & I have an allergy. We ordered: Crispy cauliflower-- 8/10 Spanish Benedict-- 9/10 Steak & Eggs-- 6/10 Lamb Hummus-- 10/10 Mimosa-- yum! Espresso Martini-- 8/10 Passionfruit Gin-- 8/10

Ordering online is relatively easy and every time I've done it my salad(s) have been ready when I arrive. I like the variety of toppings and options they offer. I do wish I could switch out one type of protein for another without being charged (for example, I'd rather have grilled chicken on the Asian chicken salad over the breaded chicken) and I wish the salad dressings were slightly bolder, but overall the salads are tasty and fresh. The service has also been fantastic every time I've gone. Most recently, the online ordering platform was glitching a bit and I accidentally ordered two of the same salad instead of two different ones. I went to pick it up, and the employee did ask to confirm I wanted 2 of the exact same things. When we realized what happened, he made my husbands salad and let me keep both of mine. I offered to pay for his salad since it was my error, but they were gracious and let me take all 3 salads for the price of 2. I really appreciated how well the employee handled the situation - he could told me "too bad so sad" or grumbled when I asked to fix it, but he didn't. He solved the problem with a smile on his face. I'll definitely keep coming here. I love a good salad and the service makes it even better.

Synopsis: Always leaves me wanting more…read more.. Dets.: I've tried and tried with Saladworks, spending tens of dollars in search of a healthy, filling salad. However, each time I order, there's something wrong or missing. When it was the Greek salad with added chicken (yes, I paid extra for it), the chicken never came, and I said nothing. When it was the extra roll (also more $$) that was never included, I also said nothing. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...I need to stop wasting my money at this place and make my own dang salads.

Entering HipCityVeg after getting pleasantly lost during my evening DC stroll, I realized I was…read morereally hungry. In that state, I could only stare dumbly at the menu while standing at the counter. Everything looked like exactly what I wanted to eat. But I finally settled on the smokehouse burger: a Beyond Meat patty topped with onion rings and smoked gouda with a golden BBQ sauce. Extremely satisfying. The employee at the counter recommended the Sriracha aioli to go with my sweet potato fries, and I'm glad she did. It's sharp and savory and adequately balanced the sweetness of the fries, which were nicely crispy. I topped it off with a glass of their refreshing turmeric-tangerine beverage. This place is vegan, fast-casual burgers done right.

As we were walking back towards our hotel, we actually were passing here so I chose it for our din din spot. I thought for sure it was going to be packed but luckily it was not. I knew I wanted a burger but was struggling with choosing which one. Hubs knew he wanted the Cheesesteak and knew I wanted fries. I went with the Smokehouse burger. We grabbed a seat and did not wait long for our food to come out. I really enjoyed my burger and scarfed it down! I paid for sauces, which were tiny and super overpriced. Hubs enjoyed his cheesesteak but he prefers meat. I had a bite and thought it was really flavorful and very closely tasting like the real thing. I noticed later this is a chain, which is pretty cool. I think the prices were pretty steep so I might skip on the fries next time. The food could have been warmer as well. Definitely worth a visit and will most likely be back when in DC again.
