The food is awesome and so are the drinks! The staff are always nice and friendly, I love coming here for lunch/dinner, etc.

Falafel undercooked, otherwise food was good, but... and this is a BIG but... the place is filthy and the staff have no enthusiasm. AND 5pm (Wednesday, August 31st), dinner rush no falafel ready. When the server up front asked the tall dude in the back with the 70s mustache if more was on the way he said, "nope." Acted like he could care less then began prepping falafel. Meanwhile the woman with bright orange hair extensions (beg your pardon if it is your own hair, beautiful either way) was walking between the kitchen and the front steam table eating hand to mouth from the steam table. Disgusting. Later she decided to stand at the container of chicken in front of customers, and literally pick up food with her fingers and put it in her mouth - while the other two servers appeared fine with it. Come on ya'll. Gross. Unprofessional. Worst part was the wait, with subsequent dirty tables throughout the establishment. Filthy, covered with drink and food. Fork and napkin dispensers empty as well. Dropped $35+ for a lousy experience - management is not managing. Maybe an off day - will try again in a few months as we'd like a decent quick, local Mediterranean meal on occasion. If it improves will definitely amend this review. read more

(9/11/22)I freaking love Cava! Oh. My. God. The people here are FREAKING AMAZING!!! The way that I came in after my dog had died because I was REALLLYYYYY craving falafel (my dogs name was falafel) and two of the super sweet front of house employees (both 17ish, a blonde girl and a brunette girl) gave me a free bowl because i looked like I had been crying (which I had been). Literally two of the sweetest souls i've ever met (aside from my sweet boy falafel) and then they made sure that i was okay, handed me some napkins to wipe the snot coming off my face (TMI, Sorry LOL) and told me that tomorrow is a new day and things will be better for me. Love the employees at this store, especially those two girls. I hope they have an amazing life, they deserve it. Thank you ladies! read more

As a restaurant owner, I know the importance of reading the guest and providing an experience based on their needs. I do not live in Boulder. My wife is hospitalized with stage 4 cancer here. I have been here for 2 weeks away from home with more time to go. During those 2 weeks I have eaten at Cava 7 times. Today, the lady helping me build my awesome grains and grains bowl asked me how I was. I told.her thank you for feeding me while I was in town taking care of my wife. I proceeded to break down and cry. .she cared. While trapped in a hospital with no family allowed in other than me This gesture gave me.hope that their are still compassionate people out there during these crazy times. I'm so surprised by the negative reviews! I've had takeout from Cava three times since they opened in Boulder, and each time has been better than the last. Fresh and healthy ingredients, tons of flavor, and a good amount of food for the price. I appreciate that they disclose ingredients and nutritional information on their website. Wish there was an option for 0 stars. The service is so bad that there's no point in even eating the food. The young man at the front- dark hair, somewhat feminine voice (I didn't get his name)- was absolutely dreadful and outright mean. He had the worst attitude and acted like we were an inconvenience by being there. He never asked if I wanted lettuce or grains, and when I asked for lettuce at the end, he just walked away and tossed some on without giving me the chance to tell him the type that I wanted. The fork holder was out of forks so I went up and asked for a fork and he just pointed to the fork holder and so I said "there are no forks in there" and he rolled his eyes and went to grab a bag of forks from the cabinet. He then proceeded to have ME, the CUSTOMER, open the bag of forks because he "didn't feel like doing it." An absolutely awful employee and an absolutely awful human being. All of the other customers were looking at each other and making comments about how inappropriate this employee was being. This man was probably the worst encounter I've had with the Cava staff, however, my previous experiences haven't been much better. Also, there is a sign in the bathroom saying that they are "sanitized every hour," but there were literally feces and toilet paper covered in feces all over the stall. I am an extremely laid back and understanding person and I had NEVER written a Yelp review before this one. I'm not sure if being a horrible human being is one of the hiring requirements, but if not, every employee at this store needs an attitude adjustment, or this location needs to be shut down. We ordered the family pack with chicken. It was plentiful and delicious. The chicken was especially good, smoky tasting and very good. The sides were all delicious, esp the tzatskiki and the pickled onions. We had lemon tahini dressing. We had lots of food for 4 adults and enough for lunch leftovers for all of us. Food has potential, but workers seem to have a bad attitude and don't understand how portions work. I asked for corn and did not even get a full scoop from the spoons they use. Instead my bowl was lightly sprinkled with corn. The workers didn't seem friendly either so I didn't even feel comfortable asking them for the correct portions.This place is a joke. If im paying this much I expect better quality/customer service. Do yourself a favor and go to a different cava location, maybe the workers there are more friendly. read more

Hello I frequent this location quite often. I was there for lunch today. Got my usual, they have a Manager there today for lunch. Who was just very pleasant and entertaining. The line was long and very busy he made it worth the wait. The couple of people in front of us was their first time coming , he walked them thru the entire line and made sure they got the perfect bowl as he said. The food was excellent, the employees were so kind and welcoming despite there being rude customers in the location. I appreciated how many vegan options there were and the teams willingness to make sure what we ordered was vegan for us. To top it off, the bathrooms were super clean. CAVA - Mediterranean Near Me - Boulder, Colorado

A friend of mine from Washington D.C. turned me on to CAVA, and I'm so happy she did! I had their Harissa & Avocado Bowl. I thought it was pretty solid, especially for the price. The ingredients were super fresh and flavorful, especially the meat (at other fast casual spots, the quality and flavor of the meat is pretty bland). I also really liked their sauces and thought they had a good level of heat. CAVA will be new go-to for when I don't feel like cooking and want something that I can feel good about. read more

I ordered bowls online. It was terrible!!!! The bowls are so overpriced, my bowl came with only a couple pieces of lettuce after it's called a SALAD. It was 15 dollars and portion did not match up with the price at all, and didn't even have really anything i asked for other then chicken. Another bowl i asked came with almost nothing. It's not worth your time to go here and pay that much. I had also specifically asked for my dressings on the side but they put them directly on resulting in the salad being soggy. read more

I'm so glad Cava opened in Boulder! Been looking for a new Mediterranean restaurant now that the Med closed, and this place did not disappoint. You can taste the freshness and good quality ingredients they use to make their food. My falafel was cooked in a way that I really enjoyed because it wasn't too fried/crispy. Also, for the amount of food you get the prices aren't bad at all - I downloaded the rewards app because I know I think this is my new favorite place! Can't wait to come again read more

Cava is the best food ever, although the people preparing it at this location make me sad. The rice and sweet potatoes were left out all day, tellingly by the way they were CRUNCHY. I honestly gagged. Most employees had a lack of training and I even witnessed a dispute between co workers fighting. Very unprofessional and food is bad quality now. Today, I placed an online order at Cava. When I arrived, they said they did not have a record of my order. I asked to speak to the manager, Brenda. She said "I'm sorry, there is nothing we can do about it". I then had to go back to my office to print out a copy of the order and also showing the Pending Transaction on my credit card. I had to then go back to Cava. The manager's response was "Well, you're going to have to wait 10 minutes, I'm working on stuff in the back". She never apologized for the mixup on their part and after already spending 30 minutes, she wanted me to wait 10 minutes more? read more

I wish they had more control over how they measure their portions and prepare their bowls. About half the time I come here I get undercut on what I pay for- despite getting out the door paying almost $20 dollars for one bowl. I ask for extra protein portions and it's always some 19-year old who doesn't give a shit about product consistency who slapping-ly throws a scoop or chicken or beef into the bowl like a craps table. I spend a great deal of time around food preparation and I know what 4 oz. of chicken looks like. I feel like I have to stand over people just to get what I pay for, and I shouldn't have to do that nor do I like it. I feel like if they simply changed the spoons into ladles or some utensil with a measurable surface area, this would be completely fixed. Also, I'm not trying to save the planet whenever I eat here- please tell your employees if they have a problem with what's on my plate to go apply to Native Foods across the street. What? How is a fast bowl style service this good? The harissa chicken and braised lamb were well cooked and flavored beautifully. The hummus like sides are the best I've had in awhile. The sauces tastes like the great ones you get in a new York kebab stall that the guy has been passing down for generations. Get a large quantity of the garlic sauce/other sauces on the side and drown your food/sorrows in it. The establishment seems to be taking adequate and non intrusive covid protection measurements as well. My only complaint is that they wouldn't let me tip the knowledgeable servers for what I perceived was great service. Also, when the woman tells you the harissa sauce is spicy, believe her and get it on the side for your spice hit. read more

Very similar to a Chipotle but for Mediterranean food. Similar prices to what you would find at Chipotle as well. The food is delicious and what may not look like a lot of food is most certainly a lot of food. You will never leave cava on an empty stomach. The workers there have always been super nice to me and the order online system is super efficient and always on time. I am actually shocked that people are ragging on this place, they seem to really take care of all aspects of the restaurants, customers, and most importantly the food. I loved Zoe's Kitchen (What preceded Cava) and now I love Cava even more, I hope they are here to stay. read more

Used to love this spot but my experience here today was horrendous. Arrived a few minutes after my pick up order was supposed to be ready. It had not even started to be prepared. I waited as my order was made, took a look at it and noticed toppings were missing. I was informed that they were out of one and they added the rest that were forgotten unapologetically. I got home only to discover there were even more toppings that were forgotten. In the grilled chicken bowl there were maybe 4? small pieces of chicken total. What a waste of money. No hummus. No tzatziki on one of the bowls. And it was impossible to tell because the employees mounded cabbage on top, maybe to try and hide the fact they were out of almost every ingredient? Next time do us a favor and just tell us you're out of product instead of trying to hide it. Maybe you'll save someone else from a disappointing dinner. read more
