Went in 4/25/26 at 3:40pm, honestly I've enjoyed this place for sometime, and I've had great interactions with the staff however today going in, I had a very uncomfortable and frankly confrontational interaction with three members of the staff. For context, you can pick out what you want in your bowl, similarly to Waikiki poke, or Chipotle for example. When you first make your plate, you can ask for pita- I asked the staff member for pita, and was ignored. I had to repeat myself multiple times. When I got to the vegetable section where you can pick five for a plate, I asked for the village salad and was ignored once again as the second staff member proceeded to give me tomatoes. I just asked for lettuce and onions as a replacement for the village salad. I made the mistake of asking one more time about the pita- and the person checking me out responded with a look of disgust? I proceeded to ask one more time. No apology or frankly some sort understanding. I asked for the name of the people working- should've asked for a manager because this staff member proceeded to lecture me about giving bad reviews, and called me weird multiple times. I was flabbergasted, did not know what to say so I left after paying. Holy moly. I was asked multiple times if I knew it was extra for add ons I asked for. I confirmed the first time, but was asked multiple times afterwards. Honestly the reason why I like the plate is because I can add on extra protein and still have room for veggies, etc. I also get extra hummus with my meal and am aware and have happily paid the surcharge. I enjoyed this place so much! I'm going to come back because the quality is wonderful, however if I see these individuals working, I will walk out and choose somewhere else to eat. I was excited for this place but was a little disappointed. I got the Harissa Avocado bowl and the baklava. The bowl was charged $18.19 for this little bowls that's not even filled up fully. The chicken was really dry, the flavor was bland, and the pita bread was pretty dry. It was hard not to compare it with Chipotle. However, they did a good job with their baklava. It's not terribly convenient to the west side of town, and you wouldn't know it. - the catering g delivery guy made it look easy. - residents of Golden vowed to make the trip to eat this again. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! First of all, the young lady who helped us was very friendly. We explained to her that it was our first time and she was very helpful and explained the menu. The place looks and smells very clean! A guy in the kitchen was scrubbing the walls and equipment (you never see this)! The food was very fresh tasting and good quality! Lots of options and choices as well. We both built our own bowls. Delicious! It was about the same price as our "equivalent" Cava order--and I would say you probably get more protein at Cava. But both have amazing food options! read more

I love this food. It's one of my favorite places to eat. But over the last year I rarely go there. Don't give me wrong. The food is amazing, but the customer service is lacking. It's never consistent. And I feel like the AC has been out more than twice in that restaurant since it's been opened . The temperature is never cool when you walk in that restaurant in most cases. I have been here for takeout twice now. I have had a good pita gyro each time, once traditional gyro meat and once with falafel. This place is tiny and in cold weather better to take home to eat. The first time a friend placed the order for the group and went in for it and we ate it nearby at the place he and others were staying. Recently, we had eaten across the street when out in Lafayette for a business appointment and noticed that we were right across the street for The Simple Greek. We had not really noticed the location when the friend was driving the first time. So on a weekend afternoon, we decided to place an order, drive out to pick it up and take it home to Boulder to eat. Easy to do in warm dry weather on a weekend with little traffic on South Boulder Rd. The food travels well, the temperature still right when we ate it, about 20 minutes after pick up. Not soggy at all, in fact very fresh. The staff was friendly, our order was ready and on the entire order with many customizations, there was only one small error. One sandwich was missing its Kalamata olives. They give you a list on the order form to pick 5 customizations for each sandwich. The choices are many. I am sure we will order from here again under similar circumstances. read more

I hate to leave subpar reviews but my food yesterday was pretty bad. I bought a kids falafel plate and a side of baklava. The rice, falafel and pita all seemed like they were cooked days prior. And I literally could not even take a bite of the baklava- it was so hard it hurt my teeth! I was so happy to see a new Greek place to try, but won't be going again. Great local place for quick Greek eats. You can choose a protein, type of meal, and add plenty of fresh toppings. I love getting the Falafel Pita with all sorts of crazy vegetables like banana peppers and pickled red onions. Love the village salad mix and they have a half dozen sauces. Desserts are traditional including rice pudding and that flaky dessert I love. The staff is friendly and usually will go out of their way to make things right. So I normally wouldn't do this, but they're very expensive so I called I ask for the manager All of a sudden, the worker became the manager then she became the owner full of lies The way she communicated with me. It was so unprofessional and rude and uncalled, for it wasn't about the money it was about the principal. My food wasn't good. My chicken even tasted raw. I guess because they're rushing but I was there from 11 to 11:20 AM and they still are not set up for the day when they clearly open at 11 So she was like I can refund it and then she was like no I'm just kidding like it was funny, but it wasn't Like I said, I used to go there twice a day all she needed to say was I can we make it? I'm sorry for the confusion. I'm sorry for our mistake but she didn't go that route. The classic greek palate would be satisfied. The lemon chicken soup was slightly bland but still tasty. Dietary Accommodations: Are you a vegan? Vegetarian? A fan of chicken and such? The Simple Greek will satisfy all dietary requests. Gluten Free will be quite pleased as well. Greek cuisine does a great job catering to all dietary specifics. Atmosphere: Nothing fancy to write home about with the atmosphere, but should it be? Again, The Simple Greek is a great place for a quick meal. An informal date night? Sure. A quick pit stop not he way home from work or a stop between places when running errands? Sure. A family would do well here during non peak hours. Simple Greek is fresh and delicious. It has quickly become one of our go-to's for takeout. We usually make our own bowls, but they have lots of different options. My personal favorite is a grilled chicken bowl with their lentil base and a lot of veggies with tzatziki sauce. Their garlic green beans and potatoes are both awesome- sometimes we add an extra side in addition to choosing one for the bowls. They have smaller kids bowls too that our kiddo loves. The portion is good sized; we can usually can make it last more than one meal. Online ordering is easy and pickup feels pretty COVID safe. I think they also offer delivery. We really liked this place and have ordered from them many times, but when we ordered food tonight it really changed our minds. We ordered kids meal and garlic green beans as a separate side. Instead of getting a dish and a side, we got the kids meal with a few green beans on top. We called to ask for a refund on the missing side of green beans, because we paid for them but only got 4/5 green beans on top of the kids meal, the worker who answered the phone repeatedly interrupted us when we were trying to explain what happened. We asked for a refund on the missing green beans and she told us no. We asked if they were going to take any accountability for the mess up and she again, said no. She continuously told us to reach out to door-dash, when this was a restaurant error, on the receipt it is a kids meal and a side of green beans.
