Today I went back to Cava and the assistant manager, I believe her name is Kay, she was very rude to me. She has been rude to me in the past as well. I asked the person making my bowl to please fill up the Togo container with dressing and Kay, who was not serving me, she butts in and says "that's one serving of dressing." I didn't know what she was talking about. I asked her what did she mean. And then she rudely repeated what she had just said. I looked to the person serving me and I asked, "so I can't have anymore dressing?" The woman serving me then said yes I can. And she then preceded to give me 2 more containers of dressing. That seemed like a very unnecessary interruption by Kay and I am beyond frustrated at CAVA. When I used to live in NYC I used to go here literally every day. And I would go here when I visited friends in DC. I even DM'ed CAVA on instagram years ago wanting them to come to Atlanta (see my picture below) The district manager here in Atlanta has set a terrible tone and the managers are following suit. My 1 star is based only on the customer service here. It is pointless to do a mobile order and expect it to be on the pickup shelf on time. They definitely give priority to the people coming in and getting in line, who were in and out with their order in 5 minutes. There were 3 of us waiting for a 12:45 order, by 12:55 neither of us had received it. By this time, there was absolutely no one in line. Some of us asked if we could just form a line and just complete our order since it was faster and 3 employees were available. The employees gave us attitude and told us we would have to cancel on the app first. One specific gentlemen (with a blonde bun) had a defiant and challenging attitude. When I asked if he was ok, he proceeded to act like he couldn't hear me and kept staring straight at me. He finally responded with " I'm doing great are YOU ok?" These kind of interactions are unnecessary and inappropriate. A simple "we are running behind we apologize would have been ok." Unfortunately, every minute counts for me as I came in here on my lunch break (that's only 20 minutes) Hence why I did a mobile order. The food on the other hand was pretty good. I ordered a Greek salad that had tomatoes arugula romaine hummus Tzatziki cucumber onion kalamata olives crumbled feta and Greek vinaigrette. The chicken had a great Smokey chargrilled flavor. Holy! We came to this plaza on a Saturday for a late lunch and were on our way to Panera when we saw the nice patio area at Cava and decided to stop in. Wow, what a great unexpected discovery! I had the lemon chicken bowl with rice added and my bf had a custom pita. Although I really enjoyed my bowl, the pita is the clear winner here. I would definitely order that next time. The bread itself is so fluffy and flavorful. He had it with super greens, rice, a few of the hummus spreads, and chicken/falafel for proteins. I also really loved the fountain drink selection. The strawberry lemonade and blueberry lavender drinks were so unique and a refreshing change from the usual sweet tea and such. I found the prices to be very reasonable for the portion sizes and the quality of the food. They do charge you for some customizations which can definitely add up. But I can't wait to return in the future! read more

Today will definitely be my last time visiting this location. I've been to this location a total of maybe six or seven times, And the first two times were the best which is what kept me coming back. The pineapple mint lemonade is my favorite. I'm not too crazy about the falafel here at all... most of the time it's cold. The bowls are usually the best thing to get and are usually very delicious. After my third time things just slowly went down from there. First: The manager is extremely unprofessional. Every time I come they're always training new workers and if a new worker is asking her a question, she begins to act extremely dramatic and stressed out. Breathing all hard leaning all over the counter like she's gonna fall out all over the place etc. I'm not surprised that they can't keep any workers having to deal with her. She clearly can't handle pressure. Then lately, all of the workers will just try to hurry up and rush you through the line so that they can go hop back on their cell phones. They just throw the food in the bowl any kind of way. The standard is subsequently very low here. My last two visits, I ordered the sweet potato feta bowl and both times the sweet potatoes were severely undercooked, hard and crunchy. they just seriously don't even care. The guy making my bowl today Just put one spoonful of rice in the bowl. when I asked for extra rice they told me that that would be an add-on which is $3 for each additional add-on.. it's extremely pricey for an ad on especially when I was cheated in the first place anyway. I wasn't even sure that I was gonna have a bowl with the amount of rice that he put in the container. It would've been more of like a Sweet potato & Feta cup or a mini bowl. My last complaint is that their restroom is always very nasty. I would anticipate that Cava what also have some sort of standards on how clean the restrooms are kept. Unfortunately, This is typical for a lot of Atlanta restaurants and establishments to have very dirty filthy restrooms. Either way, I think I will not be back at any of their locations for a good while. The location in Chamblee it's not that much better either. read more

Let me say this, I've been to the location several times and don't have any issues with the food per say. However, this establishment needs to get it together. They are always out of something at this location, especially Avocados. Very frustrating! No matter what time of day or evening you visit, it is the same. Not a good look when you have a Lentil & Avocado entree on your menu. Today they were out of cucumber. Now how I'm the hell are you out of cucumber at a Mediterranean style restaurant?!? Also, while the staff is friendly, the casual joking with each other and being obnoxious (playfully I presume) in front of customers is rather tacky & unprofessional and should be when there are no customers in the store or during their break times. Location has potential, but they need to get their food operations in order and quickly as I see many other reviews who have complained about the same. read more

First, I'll say the service was good. The health score was posted as A/100 (though someone had used a black magic marker to cross out something next to the score--that was curious). The curated options were limited, but if choosing your own toppings is your thing, you're in luck. You can choose a bowl or a wrap. No sides that I could see on the menu. I ordered the Harissa Avocado bowl. The avocado was black, so that was a big turn off for me. I'm not saying you shouldn't give this place a shot, it's just not for me. We ordered togo around 9pm. Once we arrived to pick up the food the two gentleman were incredibly rude about having any customers. Then we were surprised to find our son's meal didn't have carrots or a drink with it, my meal didn't have the toppings I specified and everything was soggy. I stopped eating meat in my diet and had just came out of surgery and my sister placed a pick up order for me and mannn the food is delicious. Even had my mother and fiancé go inside and get meals of their own because they were so impressed with my food. The food quality was good, however the portions were small considering the cost... My biggest issue was the customer service. I watched an interaction between a customer and a Cava employee where I was disgusted in the unnecessary attitude the employee had. This customer politely asked at 12:40 when her 12:30 mobile order would be ready. The employee comes back with such an attitude and blames the customer telling her that she must have had the order time wrong and her order was actually for 12:40. The customer politely told her that the email confirmation said 12:30 and showed her the email (which I saw as well). The employee rolled her eyes and sarcastically said "uh huh" as she walked away. I am writing this in hopes that management would see value in correcting these behaviors with their staff's attitudes, seeming as this is similar to other reviews here as well. read more

Came here for a quick lunch after seeing them as a suggestion on yelp. I didn't know what to expect so I was happy to see they were not busy. I will say the staff was not very inviting as I had to speak to them and ask if I could began my order. i advised it was my first time and was asked what I wanted. So I will say they weren't very helpful which resulted in me taking a moment with my order. I like suggestions as I am willing to try things as recommended but they had none. I asked what she liked and was told everything is pretty good. May be true but not helpful. Yelling at one another, attitudes and unhappy to be there, and MANAGER on his phone at checkout. He didn't look up from his phone the entire checkout. I love this place! Ever since it opened, I have gone multiple times a week to get my fix for those incredible blondies and the bowls. However, the real reason I go is to see Thomas! He is so much fun and no matter how long the wait is - by the time I get up to him at the cashier he makes me smile and laugh! I've heard it's hard to find good help and a few times when I've come late, I've seen some people make outrageous requests (I saw a guy ask for like multiple to go containers of onions completely ignoring the other customers) and somehow Thomas and the team always find a way to accommodate. I often wonder why they don't have a tip container so we can pay it forward to the staff!! Thomas and the crew are the real winners at this location! read more

The absolute worst experience at this store today. We purchase from this store often. Today I placed an online order for myself and two co-workers. The order was to be ready at 12:30. We arrived at 12:45. It was not on the shelf, so I got in the line and once I got up to the counter, I greeted the person standing there and explained I had placed an online order. He told me to go over to the shelf. I told him I had already gone over there and it was not on the shelf. He told me that it would be out. After ten minutes or so a gentleman came out with an order, which was not mine. He apologized and said he was waiting for lamb...this was no problem. I waited, maybe another 10 minutes. He came out and handed me the bag, I made a point to thank him and I took the bag and wanted to check the items. When I checked i noticed the cookie was not there. They looked and said they had no more blondies, to take something else. I did. Then I looked at my bowl and I said there is no avocado on the bowl, I could not see it. The tall one came over and I said I don't see it (I asked him because I could not tell if it was in there); apparently this annoyed him. He said he would take it back and he said it in such a way, I just decided to ask for another cookie and be on my way and then this person went into a rant. Said its the way I talk to people; I literally just asked if he say the avocado because I could be missing it and I wasn't, not even remotely, upset. Not even slightly. We then got into a shouting match and this man came from behind the counter, confrontational, I told him if he put his hands on me, I was calling the cops. Here's the thing; intially when I approached the counter, I could see he wasn't having a good day. I made a point to say, hi, how are you doing. I made a point. I have worked in customer service, I still do and sometimes it can be trying, especially if over worked, so I try to be sensitive to those wo provide customer service. This person was already upset or having a bad day. His coming from behind that counter to confront a woman is not aceptable, especially since I did nothing wrong by asking for the things we acutally paid for. No one would accuse me of being upset, not even the other workers because I made a point to show patience. I won't be returning. This place is hands down the best Mediterranean build your own option to open in Druid Hills. The idea is to be able to grab and go with om your meal so no traditional sides other than pita and pita chips. That said, they aren't needed. They have a bunch of different bases to start your bowl or wrap with, choose 3 of their spreads, two scoops of their protein options, and as many toppings as you want. The avocado gets scooped out the skin for each order so if there's some oxidation, don't worry - it doesn't affect the taste. Everything is super fresh and very healthy. They have a ton of dressing to finish everything off too - and allow you to get them on the side to try and find your favorite combination. I recommend the preserved lemon vinaigrette (a little sweet and tangy) or the caesar (hint of spice with a great garlic taste). They use all compostable utensils, plates, and straws and have a nice modern aesthetic inside. Awesome outdoor seating area as well. Drinks are either fountain, fresh made lemonades, or bottled. Staff is patient considering every person is curious about each ingredient so I appreciated them answering my questions about the not-so-commonly found items like the harissa chicken or the roasted eggplant spread. Prices are on the higher end (total was $13.91 for the bowl with a side of pita chips) but for the amount of food and the quality, I find this to be fair. Will definitely be eating here again and in that patio they have when it cools down a bit! read more
