I really love Mediterranean cuisine, and my recent experience at Caspian Cuisines was such a treat! We decided to try their sample platter which came with an array of assorted appetizers: hummus, baba ganoush, yogurt dip, crispy falafel balls, dolmas and freshly baked pita bread that came out warm. We also tried the Beef Kabob that comes with Persian rice, grilled tomato and salad, Tah dig which I've been craving this crispy rice dish for a while, and Gheimeh, an Iranian stew that's topped with thinly sliced potatoes. Our servers were so attentive throughout the meal as well. Finally we could not leave without some tea and baklava that totally satisfied my sweet tooth! I was so glad to find this spot in Mountain View and will definitely return! read more

We had the food delivered to the house and everything arrived piping hot. The vegetables were grilled just right and flavorful. The chicken and beef keffta was so delicious and perfectly cooked with the most awesome spices. We had a variety of sauces and the garlic sauce was outstanding. The rice was fluffy, light and tasty. The food portions were big and we had leftovers for the next 2 days. Overall, the children, parents and grandchildren had happy bellies and that's not always easy with an inter generational group. I want to return when I can eat at Caspian and try other items on the menu. Since the food was delivered I can't address the service and ambiance but the care and quality of the foods reflects a restaurant that is exceptional! read more

We've been coming to Caspian for years when we're craving authentic Persian kabobs outside of San Francisco. I've taken Persians and non-Persians here, and everyone has loved their food. My partner and I especially love their koobideh and barg kabobs, which are always juicy and flavorful! When we came in for takeout today, they must have noticed we were having a rough day (our car broke down on 101 and we had to spend $1k to fix it), because Eli gave us 2 koobideh kabobs for $9. She even threw in mast-o-kiar with pita for free and wouldn't accept a tip from us. We would have been happy to pay full price but the gesture did improve our mood. Thank you Eli! read more

A colleague and I stopped by here for lunch since we were in the area. The decor was just beautiful! I loved how the wine bottles were arranged on the wall and loved the artwork. I ordered the salmon kabob that comes with grilled vegetables, basmati rice, and salad on a very large, round plate. Delicious! The salmon was very tender. I would've like a couple extra pieces of salmon since there were more vegetables than salmon, and it was $32.95. read more

Came here on a Friday night with a small group. I called for reservations a few days in advance, but the person on the phone told me no reservations were needed and to just come in. When I arrived, it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. They had a full house so we waited for one table to finish up and they cleaned it quickly. The woman serving us was very sweet and attentive, making sure everything was to our liking. I tried the Doogh; it's a very acquired taste but was good. We also shared a couple appetizers and everything tasted great! For my main, I ordered the beef koobideh and it was delicious! Probably one of the best in the Bay Area. It was cooked to perfection. It comes with basmati rice and a side salad. The portions are very big, enough to take home and enjoy the following day. read more

I ordered a Stew & Rice Sampler. Their way of plating was pretty unique - the trays were huge. The portion of the sampler was pretty big. I only liked 2 out of the 3 stews, but I liked all three types of rice. For the portion size, the pricing was not bad. The service was pretty slow because the restaurant was extremely busy at 1:30pm for some reason and there was only one worker. He was still very professional and nice though! My bf ordered a skewer platter, but his portion was a lot smaller than mine. His entree was plated more simply and tasted just average - we've definitely had better at a lower price point . Overall, I don't think I would be coming back here. However, it is worth trying out at least once. read more

I don't understand why this place is never full. Amazing food whether you dine in or take out. best Persian/Mediterranean in Mountain View. The ground beef kebab is cooked perfectly medium, with spices out of this world good. Rice with dill and fava beans - I cannot stop eating this. Had lunch at this restaurant today for the first time and it did not disappoint. Ordered the filet mignon and chicken kabob. The portions were generous. The meat was flavorful and very tender. I came around 8pm on a Wednesday night and it was pretty empty. Parking was easy with a small lot in front. I was seated immediately and got to order soon after. Food came out in about 30min. They had complimentary pita and hummus! Pita was warm, lightly toasted outside, and soft inside. The hummus were fresh and paired really well. Ask for their hot sauce which is a creamy dip you can use for your meal or pita as well. 8/10 Beef Kabob $21.95 - 2 large beef kabobs were decent. The rice was plain so I added hummus or the creamy hot sauce to pair with it. Half grilled onion was great but needs more veggies. Overall still lacking for the price. Definitely fill up on the pita and hummus as those were really good! read more

The service was prompt and courteous. They took plates as we finished without being intrusive. They asked about food allergies and when I said dairy, gluten, and eggs they confirmed it was a sensitivity rather than an allergy. They helped me choose my take home hummus. I will come here over and over. I have missed Mediterranean food and this hits the spots.

I've tried various meats and enjoyed them all; my favorites are the Pomegranate Chicken and Steak Shawarma. It's cool to see Döner Kebab on the menu, too. The different entrée types have varying portion sizes and levels of customization. My preferred type is the Plate, because of the balance of protein, carbs, & veggies. But I think most would like the options & size of the Bowl. On the more critical side, I do not think the Wrap Bites are worthwhile. The form factor & taste are good, but the portions are lacking. I'm also not a fan of the fries and wish I could swap with other sides. Some other thoughts on the menu. Entrées let you add on a lentil soup cup for free, so don't forget it! What you should forget about is the Dubai Chocolate... even if it's "cheap" relative to others, it's just not that good. The server did not like my $50 tip, stating 20% minimum gratuity, which came to be $90. After that insult and spending $590, the only thing we enjoyed was the pide. We will not go to any Meyhouse never again.
