    Manti & Köpoğlu

Turkish food has been my new fixation and Meyhouse was at the top of my list of places to try. It's located in downtown Sunnyvale, which means parking can be tricky during peak dinner hours. The seating is noticeably pretty comfy and the interior of the restaurant is cozy. For starters we tried the manti and kopoglu. The yogurt that the manti came in was incredible -- the garlic flavor was so tasty! Luckily they gave us bread so we could finish off every last bit of it. I wish they gave more than 5 pieces in the order though.. next time we'll just order two. The kopoglu was pretty good too and paired very nicely with their house made bread, which btw is perfectly fluffy and amazing for dipping. For the main I had the Adana kebap which was amazing and the highlight of the meal for me! Everything from the meat to the veggies down to the rice was incredibly well seasoned. The lamb was tender and very juicy. BF ordered Çemenli tavuk which was also super tasty. It had this great smoky flavor and very tender too. We were excited to take the leftovers home. Overall, highly recommend for date night or a girl's night. The service was also great and food came out pretty quick. Thanks, Meyhouse!

We stopped in at Meyhouse on a whim while in the area for the Wednesday music series, and I have rarely been so delighted with a decision. We started with the Girit cheese dish, and it may have been the stand out of the whole meal. 10/10 no notes. We then added the humus and Turkmen manti, which were both tasty. We finished with the lamb kebab (scrumptious), and the mashed potatoes. Now, the potatoes split the table in reviews, so enjoyment is taste specific, so move accordingly. Staff was attentive without being in our faces all night, and we had a great time.

Very beautiful restaurant in Sunnyvale. I came in a party of 6, and I was also excited to visit a Middle Eastern restaurant. The complimentary bread was very addicting. One of my friends and I totally devoured it. For the main course, I got one of the kebabs. I felt it was overpriced for what it was worth. Kunefe for dessert was excellent! It's a dessert that has grown a lot on me, and I love the sweet cheesiness with the crunchy, crispy phyllo crust.

A phenomenal dinner experience with plenty of good food. I visited on a Sunday evening, and it wasn't super busy. The ambiance of the restaurant was incredible: warm, inviting, and romantic. The service was also top-notch: efficient and speedy. We tried the tasting menu, and I'm so glad we did. Every single dish we tried was delicious, and we were able to try a whole range of dishes. The amount of food we got made the price worth it. By the time we were done with the cold and hot appetizers, we were already stuffed. They then brought out the entrees, which were so delicious we kept eating. And the desserts were the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Special highlights were the manti with garlic yogurt, artichoke with poached shrimp, lamb chops with dill-potato wedges, and the baklava. I highly recommend the tasting menu if you want to try a little bit of everything - the variety in the meal was really enjoyable. I will definitely be visiting again!

Had dinner here recently with two business colleagues. Although the interior wasn't quite as nice as the Meyhouse in Palo Alto, the food was excellent. My two colleagues had never been to a Meyhouse, so we ordered a bunch of different items from the menu to share. They were overjoyed with all of the dishes and so was I. Service was pleasant and efficient. Seating was comfortable. Food arrived quickly. Overall it was a great dinner.

After reading the high marks of Meyhouse, I thought it'd be difficult for this restaurant to meet my expectations. It did not. It WELL EXCEEDED them! Meyhouse had it all: the gorgeous establishment, the levels of flavors, and the utmost fine-dining experience you rarely find nowadays. What I'm talking about is this.... Aside from the obvious stuff like your server being courteous and responsive with ordering and delivering dishes, our Meyhouse server made sure to *time* our courses to our eating pace so plates didn't arrive too quickly. He also watched our wine glasses like a hawk, but from afar and respectfully, so he could glide over to refill our glasses without interrupting our conversation. Some times I didn't even know he came over; I'd just notice my glass was refilled! Same with finishing a dish or needing water or looking up... anything! Also, between courses, someone not only removed our plates and utensils (including the ones lying on the table, which were unused), but also they came by to clean off the table of crumbs before bringing new plates and utensils, and then the next course. (They did this twice, and our jaws hit the ground twice too.) Because we were there for a special occasion, our dinner lasted 3 hours and there were times we had paused eating because we were just talking, so staff sometimes came by to see if we needed our plates cleared. If we hesitated to answer because we weren't sure if we still wanted to eat some more, they smiled and slowly backed away almost as if embarrassed for getting it wrong. They were adorably sweet. We appreciated their proactiveness and attentiveness! We ordered 2 desserts to share, and there was a mix up where someone brought them out too soon -- without the candle for the birthday boy. I was disappointed by this because I asked our server to please be sure to include a candle, but I looked over and saw that he did a "double take" at our table, hustled to the kitchen, and swiftly returned with a lit candle on a complimentary scoop of ice cream. He even sang! So even though there wasn't the expected candle on our dessert, he did some quick thinking and fixed the error with an additional dessert -- and song! It was brilliant. Honestly, I'd sing Meyhouse's praises over and and again. They did everything right! **Random Things to Note** - Reserve time for parking. There's a lot across the street, but on weekend, it can be tough and take some time, so plan for that if you have reservations. - Corkage fee is a steep $35, so be prepared if you bring your own bottle! - If you order dessert, and you should also order Turkish tea. As a tea connoisseur, I think it compliments the desserts so well. (It's the temperature, the flavor, and yes, the cute little cup and saucers!) - I loved every dish (and bite) I had, but if I could only choose 1 dish, I would choose the eggplant with yogurt appetizer. It is seriously the dreamiest savory cold appetizer I've ever had!

Wonderful service and the food is so well balanced and light! Highly recommend the köpoğlu (eggplant) and any of the kebaps!

Shout out to Mert, the assistant manager, and Bonnie, whom I spoke with on the phone for their friendliness and warm hospitality. I booked their tasting menu for a celebratory meal for my parents and they were kind in assisting me for this special occasion including prepayment. Communication was easy and they were enthusiastic and seemed to care to ensure my parents enjoyed the meal. Photo is from my parents who commented that they enjoyed the food and from the photos they sent me seemed to have a beautiful variety of flavors and offerings. Thank you Meyhouse!

Food taste amazing Great service Ambience is very cute with the music and special food and drinks Only thing that I should mention it's a bit overpriced, I think if plates can be $10 cheaper, I would go more often; but it's worth it for special occasions

Enjoyed another meal at Meyhouse. For lunch we ordered from the prix fixe menu: Köpoğlu (roasted eggplant with peppers and tomatoes), Adana Kebap (has a $3 surcharge, ground lamb), and Baklava for me and Ahtapot (has a $9 surcharge, grilled octopus), Locum ($7 surcharge, tenderloin slices), and Kunefe ($2 surcharge) for her. Everything was cooked to perfection, except for the Turkish rice which was somewhat undercooked. Our server quickly rectified the situation by giving me another bowl of rice which was better, but had some uncooked grains. Bathrooms are clean and have electronic toilet seats that were warm on this very cold day.

Came here January 3rd 2025 when they opened at 5:00 p.m. the place was empty but not for long. the $20 kardies guvec tasted delicious with shrimp in a tomato base covered with cheese in a baked dish. The shrimp was to die for fresh and tasty with the tomato base sauce accentuating the taste. The d$38 dollar veggie alinazic presentation was excellent with sliced squash tomatoes and beets along with cooked onions. Not something that I would order but the wife loved it. Not sure if any vegetarian dish is worth $38. The $38 Adana with a single kabob of minced lamb rib together with rice and mixed vegetables. A bit pricey for what you got, but the lamb was delicious if the portion was on the small side.. The bread rolls came complimentary with the dinner and was so good that we ordered two servings of them. So delicious and so addictive, I couldn't help eating them stuffing my mouth and raising my blood sugar.

Well, I stand to be corrected. I was invited for a nice Birthday lunch by a former colleague and friend. My first inclination upon seeing it was Turkish was really not fair. I had gone to two establishments in the bay area that had Turkish food that was not the best presentation, so hence I was like " No" ;-) kidding, but nonetheless I was apprehensive. Well, I was wrong in coming to Meyhouse!! We had an outstanding waiter by the name of Burak. He explained everything very well and picked upon my apprehension. They gave us plenty of time to make up our minds and served us this wonderful made bread with sesame seeds on top...wonderful. I decided on the Ege Salatasi withChunky tomatoes, peppers, onions, cucumbers, garlic-oregano croutons, white cheese, capers and south Aegean olives. Imagine a Greek salad taken to another level. Why I liked this so was the combination except for the Feta was so much like a Spanish salad that I have had growing up as a kid . The dressing on it was perfect. I loved this. My friend had the Mercimekli Karniyarik Oven roasted half eggplant stuffed with green lentil, dried mint, tomato sauce and brown butter served with garlic-yogurt. What did I love about this place, the ambiance, our waiter's kindness and patience. The great food, the yogurt that was mixed with tons of garlic. like I like it) the music in the background that even though was Turkish sounded so much like Spanish flamenco. This is a WINNER for me. Anytime I am in downtown Sunnyvale or Palo Alto and I am craving some Turkish food, this will be my new Go To place!. I hope and trust it will be yours as well.

This place is nestled in an industrial neighborhood and is probably really booming during the work week. We arrived around 1PM and there was a larger party of maybe 12 and another party of 4 and us...party of 9. There is patio seating and plenty of indoor seating. There was plenty of parking as they have a parking lot dedicated to their restaurant. Their menu is substantial. All the usual suspects of falafel, kufta, chicken and beef kabobs, humus & pita, etc. We ordered the following: 1. Sword fish plate: which was served with rice and vegetables. The fish was perfectly grilled and a great sized filet. 2. Falafel pita & falafel plate: the pita came with fries the plate came with veggies and rice. Both of the guests of our party that ordered these were quite happy with their order. 3. Beef kabob: these were large cubes of beef, that were seasoned well and grilled perfectly. You get a full skewer on a bed of rice and a side of vegetables. 4. Kufta kebob: which I ordered, and it was a large sized kabob that was bursting with flavor and juicy. On a bed of rice and a side of veggies. I wish they served basmati rice or a long grain rice and that the veggies were just grilled without the sauce. I felt the tomato sauce it was covered it overpowered the natural flavors of the array of veggies on the plate. 5. My mom ordered a 3pc lamb chops plate, and it typically comes over a bed of fries, but we substituted it for rice, and it came with the same side of veggies as the rest of ours. She said it was good and the size of the chops was decent. 6. I got there kind of late so the first half of our party ordered appetizers that we didn't get to try but I ordered an order of fried calamari and I must say my favorite part was what I think was a kalamata olive aioli. It was delicious! Will need to replicate at home. All in all, we were pleased and left satisfied and more importantly full. I'm sure we will be back!

The warm one was interesting, still enjoyable to him but not as much as before - beef souvlaki plate with fries instead of salad: I loved this! I asked for no lettuce, and the server said I could switch out the salad for fries instead. The beef was so tender and flavored well, super savory, and I absolutely LOVE the olive dip that comes with this dish. The fries were okay! I enjoyed dipping them into the olive dip. - swordfish souvlaki wrap no lettuce with fruit: option to get fries instead, but we got fruit. My mom liked it! I tried some of the swordfish and it had a nice light flavor, quite tender and very nice. I've also gotten the grilled branzini before, which is a whole entire fish. Warning that you may need to use your hands to eat this directly lol I really enjoyed this dish too! When we arrived, they mentioned we could sit anywhere we wanted. There was both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outdoors so it was a tad warm but they provide shade. There is a tent as well with a plastic surrounding but as for any restaurant with these plastic surroundings, I always find the plastic smell so strong and offputting, so we sat at the tables instead where they have umbrellas providing a lot of shade. We sat next to a bougainvillea bush which also provides us shade and some entertainment as little birds hopped back and forth inside the bush and then out of it to nearby tables, looking for food. So cute! Parking can be found in the lot behind the restaurant, but the entrance is still found around the other side of the building, on the side of the outdoor seating. You can also park on the side of the street in front of the restaurant, but there's less shade. We arrived at a 3pm on a Friday with almost no one else there, so once our whole party was present we got service immediately. The food takes some time to cook but as mentioned, it's delicious. Overall a really cute restaurant!
