I ordered the chicken tikka masala, the crazy curry fries, and a mango lassi. I was fully knocked out. The chai at the register is also so delicious and free, you should definitely grab some if you can! It's piping hot and perfectly spiced. The chicken tikka masala itself comes with a delicious flaky naan that's similar to Chinese scallion pancake. It pairs perfectly with the dish itself. The crazy curry fries were also so good and saucy. I was so happy that we were splitting this dish six ways, because I would not have any space to try it had I gone individually. My friend got the Tikka Burger, and he was knocked OUT. It looked so amazing and smelled divine. We also got the yogurt dip to share, and it was so savory and creamy. I'd recommend this to anyone in the area who wants to try some amazing Pakistani food.

I ordered to go as I needed to go somewhere, and smelling it the whole car ride got me so excited to try -- and it didn't disappoint. While you're waiting for your food, they have complimentary chai near the cash register. The inside has ample seating and there's also lit outdoor seating as well too. The parking lot is on the smaller side, but there's also street parking as well! About 10 or so minute wait for the food. Happy with my experience overall!

Every sauce is parting, the flavors are not there. The place inside is also strange. You have some guests at a table going into the kitchen and coming out. What? It's a small, no-frills place with a very basic setup--but honestly, the food is what truly matters here. We ordered chicken seekh kabab, chicken tandoori, chicken kadhai, along with garlic naan and butter rotis. The chicken seekh kababs were juicy, but they had a very strong and slightly off-putting turmeric flavor. It felt like there was a bit too much turmeric, which overpowered the other spices and slightly ruined the overall taste for me. However, the chicken tandoori completely made up for it. It was juicy, spicy, and perfectly charred--exactly how a good tandoori should be. The highlight for me was the chicken kadhai. Usually, I find chicken kadhai to be too tomato-heavy and overly tangy for my liking, but this one was perfectly balanced. The flavors were rich without being overpowering, and paired with the soft garlic naan and fresh tandoori roti, it was an absolute delight. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. Despite the simple ambience, the quality of the food shines through. We'll definitely be going back to try more dishes from the menu.

There was plenty of outdoor seating, and the service was speedy. You order on a kiosk, which makes for a streamlined ordering process. The food is always solid - I love all of their thali selections. This location was much more peaceful compared to the Palo Alto location. I stopped by on a Saturday evening, and there were only a couple tables that were occupied. I will say I feel like the portion sizes here are noticeably smaller than those at the Palo Alto location. This might be because all of the orders are packed to-go, so maybe there's less space for food? For instance, the thali from the Palo Alto location includes a side salad, which was not included in my order here. The other sides (pickled salad and daal lentil), along with the entree, were also significantly smaller here. The prices are the same, so I do think the Palo Alto dishes are more worth it.

Anything he needed he got for us and was very nice! They also have a self service station which is convenient. Food quality: 5/10 I've had better indian food in the bay. The seekh kebab wrap was okay...I thought thr naan was a little too hard and the kebabs were slightly overdone and not moist. Chaat cafe has the best seekh kebab wrap I've ever had. Biryani tasted mostly like a pulao and the chicken was slightly underdone. The nehari was good, but it was on the oilier side and I've been more impressed with it at other indian resturants. The seekh kebab dish was also okay - but as with the wrap, it was overdone and not moist. Saag paneer was ok too - personally too oily for my liking. Side of naan tasted not fresh and got hard very quickly. Chai was very watered down and the sweet chutney was also very watered down. They also charge for raita which should be included with the biryani. Ambience 8/10 - just an average looking place nothing special. Overall, the place is just....ok. Just my honest opinion.

While the presentation of the biryani was nice - the flavor was rather flat and blah. The Goan curry was harsh - you could taste the spices were raw and had a bitter after taste. The waiter said that this was a spicy dish - not at all ! It was so mild. The fish portion was rather small. The aloo gobi was slightly overcooked and a little too salty. The butter naan was great - fluffy and tasted great. Unfortunately we won't be coming back to this place.

Service (3/5): I ordered at the cashier counter, and the guy gave me a number tag to place on my table. It was mostly self-service, I got my own water, hot milk tea, and utensils from the front station. Nothing special to mention about the service. 3. Food (3/5): - Chicken Biryani (2/5): This was my first time trying this dish. Personally, it lacked flavor, the rice was quite plain and there wasn't much chicken either. For $17, the portion felt small. The Indian spices had a strong aroma, but the overall taste was pretty bland. - Mango Lassi (4/5): I liked the mango flavor, it smelled good and wasn't too sweet. Overall: It wasn't a great experience for me. Maybe next time I'll try some curry if I get a chance.

I was the newbie here and my friend has frequented this place a lot so I leaned on him for recommendations. In short, this is comfort food full of flavor though it might take a little time to get your food, it's all made fresh! L O C A T I O N Off of El Camino Real (I know that's not really descriptive as El Camino is VERY long) and Lawrence Expressway (now we're getting closer), in a shopping area with a Big Lots and 24 Hour Fitness. The plaza is called Lawrence Expressway Plaza. Lots of parking so easy to find one near the entrance. I N S I D E Fairly cozy with booths to sit in. There's also a few outdoor tables for seating if you'd want to eat al fresco. They have a water and tea station which is nice as well as serve your own plates and utensils. M E N U Fairly extensive with Tandoori dishes, curries, vegetarian faire, biryanis, naans, wraps...my head was dizzy from all the choices. But I went with the recommended Bangen Bhartha, Chicken Biryani, and a plain naan. ~ Bangen Bhartha ~ The description: a unique blend of eggplant, tomatoes, onions, cream and spices. And indeed it was. You can taste that they grilled the veggies which reminded me of a Filipino grilled eggplant dish. I love a good grilled eggplant and this went great with the plain naan we had. ~ Chicken Biryani ~ The description: Tender pieces of chicken cooked with basmati rice and spice flavoured sauce garnished with raita. That raita though....man I saved what I had after I finished that dish and used it on other food I had in the house. I love a yogurt sauce. It also complimented well with the chicken biryani. Again full of flavor but beware of stray chicken bones and hard pieces when chewing the rice. It is a bone in chicken that they cook which helps with the flavor of the dish not so much for your teeth. Also complimented well with the bangen bhartha. ~ Plain Naan ~ The naan was plain and I had to have the plain one as much as I'd love the garlic one as I do have garlic sensitivities. But it was crisp, chewy, sizeable and complimented our eggplant dish well. S E R V I C E Basically you order at the front, they give you a number. You sit down, they bring you the food, you get all your utensils and plates and drinks. Very bare bones in terms of service but kind of what I expected. Food did take some time but again I think that's due to them freshly cooking everything which can take some time. Then afterwards, you bring up your number and pay. Easily paid by credit card. O V E R A L L It was delicious. I would definitely come back to get everything I had again but I would probably venture into their tandooris or wraps to try it out. The menu's very extensive so grab a friend or two to be able to try out more stuff!

Local Pakistani artwork adorning the walls. Delicious grilled meat smells wafting around as well. ***FOOD: we got chicken 65, naan and samosa chaat sans yogurt. *chicken 65-3/5- this was almost beetroot red in color. In my naivety I hoped it was some natural food color using beetroot. But I later learnt from them that it was not. It left me appalled at the liberal use of such toxic artificial colors. Colors aside, the chicken itself was delicious. But I will make sure to ask them beforehand next time and order something that doesn't have colors. *naan-5/5- this was amazing. Hot from the tandoor. It wasn't charred at the bottom. It was light and large. It was clear that it was made by someone who knew their craft. I will come back here just for the naan. *samosa chaat-3/5- this made me sick, I had an upset tummy for a few days after. It was hot day so I m assuming they had problems with their chutney or maybe it was the samosa with the potato filling. Upset tummy aside, the chaat flavors were decent, not the best of the lot but decent nonetheless.
