I really enjoyed the falafel wrap with eggplant from here. The falafel itself was amazing, it was crispy outside and I really enjoyed the flavor, I think this was my favorite falafel I've had in the area flavorwise. The wrap as a whole was delicious although smaller than I expected. It also contained only very small amounts of the veggies- there were like a handful of thin strips of lettuce and the tiniest finger of eggplant. Despite this the wrap was still really delicious however I do think they are really skimping on the veggies. I also asked for my wrap to be cut in half in my online order and they did not do that. The menu is very vegetarian friendly. Vegan items are not labeled but there appear to be many options.
Overall a great spot. In the mood for Mediterranean food and found this place walking downtime Mountain View. The people here are very friendly and the atmosphere has a real cozy feel to it. Love the furniture arrangement. Ordered the Chicken shawarma wrap and Beef shawarma wrap. The meat was cooked well and was very flavorful. The sauce was a little too rich for me and overpowering. Overall it was ok. I'd come back and try other things on the menu.
Mediterranean Grill House had a BOGO deal on Uber Eats so we decided to go check it out! Ordered Dolmades and two falafel wraps for pick-up and food was ready within 20 minutes. Friend also ended up a side of potatoes! Some indoor and outdoor seating available. Dolmade (5/5): First time trying dolmade! It is essentially vegetables wrapped around a leaf - it was a nice refreshing way to start off the meal. Falafel wraps (5/5): This was great! I tend to find falafel wraps to be very dry but this had a good amount of tzatziki sauce and also hummus, which I appreciated because that usually costs extra. Everything tasted flavorful and fresh. The portion size was pretty big - ended up splitting the wrap into two meals. Friend liked the potatoes! Said it was well seasoned. Overall, with the BOGO deal, Mediterranean Grill House is great bang for buck. Would return!
Great place to eat outside on Castro street. You have to try the pistachio milk cake it is so delicious! The kabobs were just ok got the chicken plate with 2 sides and shawarma beef à la carte that came with pita bread. The bathroom is a bit tricky to find it's around the corner but it's good they have a clean bathroom. Overall nice place to eat and I would come here again.
Mediterranean Grill House shares a space with Sana'a Cafe, who provides coffee, Yemeni specialty drinks, and pastries. I came here on a Groupon. Their space is actually decently large, with good patio seating in the front. They are located near the end of the Castro strip in Mountain View, so parking is a lot easier to find here. Plate meals allow you to pick two sides (except the three meat combo plate, which is choice of one side): hummus (could use more lemon and seasoning, but has interesting smooth mashed potato texture), garlic potatoes (small pieces of roasted potato in a wet garlic sauce), baba ghanoush (smooth and good), cucumber yogurt salad (fresh chunks of cucumber with mild yogurt, surprisingly unique), tabbouleh (tastes like my favorite kind of tabbouleh with perfect ratio of bulgur to parsley and green onions, well chopped), and Mediterranean salad (so healthy and fresh). With your meal, you get some quarters of toasted flat pita bread and a side of tzatziki. You can also have the option to grab your own water and bus yourself. Depending on the meat you order, it can take up to 15-20 minutes to prepare, but time passed by quick while watching all the hustle and bustle of the Castro strip. - Chicken Shawerma Plate One of the better chicken shawermas in the bay! The chicken is really tender and seasoned well, and there are some bigger juicy pieces. There was basically more chicken than rice! - Lamb Kebob Plate Huge chunks of lamb kebobs over a large mound of moist rice. We like to request it medium rare, and they cooked it perfectly medium rare. I think they pair perfectly with the garlic potatoes and a salad. - Three Meat Combo Plate It comes with a chicken skewer, kufta, and choice of shawerma (I chose beef which had thicker pieces, though I liked the chicken shawerma better). The chicken kebab came as huge pieces of breast meat. The kufta was the best meat out of the three, as it had really good flavor and tasted freshly ground. The imported Dubai chocolate was a bit sweet for my preference, but it's not their product so that's fine. Tons of takeout orders were going out to locals and employees, and it smells good near their pickup window. I can see why they get good business, as the owners and employees are very friendly, hardworking, and passionate. I had an issue where initially, the food wasn't prepared the way I wanted, and they prioritized my enjoyment. If I still lived near Castro, this would be a frequent meal for me - I love how everything tastes really healthy and fresh, is seasoned just right, and with really fair pricing. I wish they had air conditioning inside for hot days - otherwise, the inside is a pretty cozy place to sit down! I hope to visit again soon to have some sweets and drinks, as well as the okra that was recommended. This is now one of my favorite Mediterranean places in the entire bay because of the chicken shawerma, kufta, fresh sides, and hospitality.
Found a good Mediterranean spot in downtown Mt. View. I think it;s relatively new. I don't remember seeing it before. I had the Chicken Shawerma Wrap, which was like a Mediterranean burrito. It was very, very good. The chicken had a great flavor, different thna Mexican, but oh-so-good. I am a fan for Shawerma Wrap. I will try the beef next. It is one my new spots whenever I am down there. Now for the pic.
I came here for a late lunch with my fiance. The interior is beautifully decorated and has both booths and tables. There are also a few tables outside. It was steadily busy the whole time we were here. Despite being busy, all of the employees were friendly and helpful. I ordered the kofta kebab plate with hummus and salad. My fiance ordered the chicken shawarma wrap with a side of falafel. We also ordered a watermelon mango refresher. The refresher was perfectly sweet and tasted like actual fruit. My plate was delicious. Everything was great on its own and even better together. My fiance enjoyed his wrap, but said he would order a falafel wrap next time because the falafel was that good. They were super light with a nice crisp. The side of falafel also came with some pita bread. We also ate everything with the spicy sauce (found near the utensils) and really liked it. Good flavor and spice. Before we left, we also decided to get some desserts and an iced adeni chai. The adeni chai had a nice cardamom flavor. We tried the honey comb bread, and it was delicious! We also ordered the rose milk cake, which we also enjoyed! I would definitely recommend coming here! I will definitely be back to try more of the food and drinks!

I tried the chicken kebab, lamb kebab, chicken shawarma (marinated slices of breast meat), and kufta kebab (spiced ground beef and lamb), and all the meats were juicy and flavorful. I also tried the Veggie Delight Plate, a sampler of mezzes including creamy hummus, baba ghanoush, dolmas, falafels, garlic potatoes, Mediterranean salad (chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, peppers), cucumber yogurt salad, and tabbouleh (parsley and bulgur salad). My favorite components were the crunchy falafels with the tahini-rich hummus, eaten along with some grilled pita bread. Overall, the food here was fresh and flavorful, though the portion sizes were small for the prices.

Tried Mediterranean food for the first time, and it was a good experience! I ordered the kebab combo plate, which had a nice mix. The chicken was flavorful, though a little dry, and the kufta was solid too. The salad and potatoes on the side balanced everything out nicely. I also had the falafel wrap which was super fresh with lots of veggies. For drinks, the Adeni chai reminded me of milk tea but with a floral, sweeter twist, and the Mango Passionfruit refresher was nice and fruity.

Absolutely love this restaurant / Café. Such good vibes with fun decor that makes the place feel welcoming and relaxed. The food tastes fresh and homemade and the portions are super satisfying. The coffee is unique and delicious. Staff is friendly, which makes it an easy place to keep coming back to.

This place have literally everything and yet soo good! Food wise they have the best falafel and kebabs in the area, plus their specialty coffee is exceptional. Try the Sanaa latte or the Adani chai you will thank me later! Its also one of those places where workers remember you and they know your exact order perfecting it for you. They are so friendly and would randomly upgrade your order for no extra charge which is so sweet! This place is really good spot for chilling, working or coming with big group. Fantastic food. Great portions. The chicken shawarma was maybe the best seasoned I've have in a long, long time. We went tonight when it was pretty rainy and the indoor seating got pretty filled up quick - def would recommend coming early to snag a table. Also the food took a little while to come out so maybe not the best place if you're in a hurry but if you can wait the 20 min, you won't regret it. It's so good!! read more
10/18/2024 Mediterranean Grill House 650 Castro St Ste 110 Mountain View, CA 94041 I went there for lunch around noon on a Friday. It's on Castro between Church and High School streets. There is street parking and an underground lot behind the Wells Fargo shared with St. Joseph Church. There is an order counter with a menu board above. I ordered the Lamb Kebab, medium rare, plate with Hummus and Garlic Potatoes. I was given a number stand to place at my table and waited a short time for my meal to be delivered along with 4 quarters of Pita bread and Tzatziki sauce. It's a clean table and chair interior for about 30 people. There is dining outside also. My four large lamb cubes were mostly medium rare, lightly salted and with Mediterranean spices. The long grain rice was very good, soft and moist. The Hummus had good lemon and Tahini flavor and the garlic potatoes were soft and mildly flavored. The Pita bread was warm and soft. Everything was delicious, quality was very good and quantity also, I took most of the bread and Hummus home. Service was prompt and helpful. Definitely repeatable. Your clothes and hair will acquire the grilled meat odors, the grill and dining area are not separated, be warned. read more

Only place in town where you can get the latte without sugar and even with coconut milk optionally and their special Sana Latte has additional spices. Fancy turkish-style coffee is also offered. (others usually have sweetener or sugar in the milk already) read more
Stopped by for lunch using a Groupon. Service was slow. Wasn't even sure if anyone was working with all the furniture piled up getting ready for a tea and coffee business opening. She finally came out and initially told me that in order to use my $20 Groupon, that I would need to spend an additional $20. Really!!! After explaining to her my 15 years of experience with Groupons, she backed down. I even showed her the "small print" and there was no mention. Nice try though on her part to attempt to get more money out of customers. The kebab I got which was beef and lamb was ok. A little dense and rubbery, but ok on flavor. Not as good as dish dash in SVL. Rice and hummus were standard. If you're in a rush, and don't have time to go anywhere else, then this would be a good choice. read more

The coffee and pastries are so good! I love this place in the morning, specially on these cold days, it's such a cozy atmosphere inside and the sun comes in to warm you up along with a yum cup of coffee and warm pastry. Ordered take out for the second time, but first time I'm reviewing. On the plus side, it's filling. Fairly generous portions. We had the veggie delight plates, which weren't all too delightful. One of the big issues is that the falafels were pretty rock hard - not pleasant to eat. Not too tasty either, but that impression may have been colored by the petrification. The Mediterranean salad was kind of just there, the dolmas were probably the best thing, and the potatoes weren't bad either - though my wife didn't care for them. The pita bread was fine, but the hummus and babaganoush were just okay. We were quite hungry, but it didn't really hit the spot unfortunately. As I recall, the previous wraps we had here weren't bad, so maybe it was just an off night or their veggie offerings are not their forte. read more
Feeling super hungry and too tired to cook after my shift last night. My husband decided to treat me to Mediterranean Grill House. What a wonderful treat this was!!! We were greeted with a warm and welcoming smile from the owner Aleah (?). She was very helpful helping me select my meal as this was my first visit. I ordered Beef Shawerma Plate with cucumber salad and hummus. Everything was so incredibly delicious and the hummus was the smoothest I've ever tasted!!! The dishes are so reasonably priced as well!!! Aleah also gave us two pieces of Baklava to take home. The interior is simple...but very clean. There is a beautiful mural on the far wall and wonderful paintings along the ceiling. Overall one very enjoyable dining experience....not super fancy....just super good!!! The customer service is on point. Very polite and friendly. The food comes out fast, portions are large and filling. The inside decor is very nice. One of my fav places to get mediterranean food in the bay area. The host/cashier was super friendly and patient! read more
