SAJJ Mediterranean is a good place to get consistent, filling meals at typically-reasonable prices. I'm happy there is a fast-casual chain with many halal options. Since I typically order takeout, I haven't spent much time inside the restaurant. But I do like the clean, tasteful aesthetic. I also appreciate the staff, both for their friendliness and promptness. I've tried various meats and enjoyed them all; my favorites are the Pomegranate Chicken and Steak Shawarma. It's cool to see Döner Kebab on the menu, too. The different entrée types have varying portion sizes and levels of customization. My preferred type is the Plate, because of the balance of protein, carbs, & veggies. But I think most would like the options & size of the Bowl. On the more critical side, I do not think the Wrap Bites are worthwhile. The form factor & taste are good, but the portions are lacking. I'm also not a fan of the fries and wish I could swap with other sides. Some other thoughts on the menu. Entrées let you add on a lentil soup cup for free, so don't forget it! What you should forget about is the Dubai Chocolate... even if it's "cheap" relative to others, it's just not that good. Finally, if you plan to come here more than once, it's worth creating a free account. You can get some good discounts, including frequent Buy One Get One (BOGO) deals on the entrées. This review is late but for the first time in my life I have tried Sajj. I have been meaning to try the one in Sunnyvale but cannot afford it. It wasn't until later in May I got to try it. Very fabulous. Thank you very much to my workplace for providing it. You have made this guys lunch a more better one. The sauce is to die for. Has a very good smell to it. Unlike the Sunnyvale location this one is more up to date with their prices. It was well worth it. Sajj has options for just about anyone's taste. If you want Vegan they got it. I am a huge fan of CAVA and am constantly craving it between visits to SoCal, so have been wanting to try this spot for a while. There's a good amount of seating inside the restaurant, and you order at the counter to BYO bowl or wrap. I got the salad bowl with chicken shawarma- pretty generous portions of toppings and meat. I especially loved the eggplant and cauliflower hot toppings, and the lentil soup that comes complimentary with each meal! The garlic sauce and hummus added so much flavor to the bowl and the whole meal was so filling and refreshing. I do think it's fairly different to CAVA in terms of the food options, but similar in terms of the restaurant style. I love coming here from time to time because of the Costco gift cards. It is basically like getting 20% off. I usually choose the couscous with chicken. Then I add mostly all ingredients. I might vary the combinations from time to time to alter the tastes. Sometimes we'll order fries and they are made fresh. So they are very hot and toasty! I like it here because usually the portions are usually pretty good. Sometimes you'll have some leftover for another snack the next day as well. You also get a cup of soup with the meal as well for the cold days. Although the soup isn't scalding hot though, it is good enough for me The staff is also very nice and accommodating. Food was like Cava for the Silicon Valley. Chipotle like service with Mediterranean flavors. I ordered the Chicken Shwarma bowl. You can customize your bowl to fit dietary desires. For me, being pre-diabetic, it was important to have salad. I liked the fresh veggies along with the cauliflower and eggplant which was the star of my bowl. I was jealous of the two guys who got 2 avocado scoops on the top of the bowls which costs extra. I was too cheap to pay for it.
