Omg this was the juiciest kabobs I've had! My friends and I came for dinner on a Thursday night and it was nice and quiet with a few other parties around us. Servers were extremely welcoming and patient with us. Food was delicious! The hummus sampler was great! Our favorite was the one on the right, tasted very garlicky! The beef kabob was super juicy and came out hot, loved the flavor and the soft texture. Chicken was also so juicy and flavorful. We had a great lunch at Caspian Mediterranean Cuisine. They offer authentic Persian cuisine. They are located on El Camino Real in Mountain View next to World Market. There is a large parking lot in front that is shared with other businesses in that shopping center. We were warmly greeted when we walked in and were shown to a lovely table. It's got a very classy vibe inside with beautiful artificial floral trees and artwork on the walls. The menu has a nice variety of food. We decided to try the Kashke Bademjan, for our appetizer. This is an eggplant puree with caramelized onions, tahini sauce and mint. It is served warm with fresh pita bread. For our mains we ordered a Greek salad to share, the filet mignon kabob plate and the filet mignon & chicken combination plate. Our appetizer came out first. The Kashke Bademjan arrived warm with piping hot pita bread. There was also a small tray of hummus on the platter. The Kashke Bademjan had such a wonderful flavor. It was warm and comforting. I highly recommend trying this. The hummus was nice. The bread was fresh and hot...so delicious with both dips. Our salad and entrees came out next. The food was served on these circular large metal platters. I couldn't believe how big the portions were and how beautifully the dishes were presented. The Greek salad was also huge. The filet mignon kabobs were delicious, moist and so flavorful. I chose the whir me for the chicken and it was perfectly moist and bursting with flavor. Both my husband and I enjoyed it. Each plate came with basmati saffron rice with a grilled tomato and salad. The rice was fluffy, moist and flavorful. Very fresh and hot. The salad was a nice touch and the grilled tomato was so juicy. There was so much food that we didn't even touch the Greek salad. We ended up with a lot of leftovers, which we didn't mind. I could tell this was a family run business. So much love and detail was put in to each item we ordered. We had excellent customer service. Towards the end of our meal, the owner (the matriarch of the family) came by to ask how are food was. She was so sweet and hospitable. I really loved that. I noticed she went to every single table and checked on everyone. We will definitely be returning, especially for the Kashke Bademjan. My dinner here was pretty amazing. I am not usually on this side of town , but found myself nearby on Valentine's Day. For dinner , my wife and I chose to share an entree after we saw how much food was included on each plate -while spying on the table next to us. We started with a charcuterie board of pita bread and hummus. The pita bread was warm and fluffy, and the hummus was smooth and creamy. This was a good starter to get things going in the right direction. For our entree, we chose the chicken and beef kabab plate that came with a ton of fluffy basmati rice and a garden salad. Oh, and don't sleep on the roasted tomato- that thing went well with the meal. I liked that the chicken and beef were tender and full of flavor. Okay so this place was definitely amazing surprise. Went here on November 11th during lunch time around 12:30 p.m. with a friend. Coming into the space we were greeted with a big smile from the hostess and some very nice background music that was coming from the bar area. As we sat down we were handed menus and our server came to greet us and asked us if we had any questions and if this was our first time at the restaurant. We definitely said yes and he gave different recommendations based on what were the most popular dishes. As we were catching up we totally lost track of time and the waiter came back to us a few minutes later and asked if we were ready to order, we were not. And we really appreciate it that he said it with a smile and was like no worries I'll come back take your time. So when we finally decided to order we got the sampler of the hummus, my friend got the mixed meat kabobs plate, and I got the special which was the lamb shank. Let's start off with the hummus the three trios that we got the original was definitely our favorite followed by the mint and then lastly the one that was a little bit more sweet can't remember the name of that one but again the traditional hummus so so so good. The plates themselves were breathtaking as you can see in the pictures that I tagged along with this review. They were huge ample serving of rice protein and even the veggie on the side. Of course neither of us could finish the meal because of the amount of food that was on there and we were not sad about that because we knew you would have a delicious meal to have later on or as a snack LOL. Overall definitely enjoyed our experience, the food, and the soft ambiance in the restaurant. Took my brother here because we were craving Mediterranean/Persian kabobs and found this spot on Yelp, so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, there weren't many patrons, but the owner and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which immediately made us feel comfortable. Wow I can't believe I've never been here. This is probably the best Mediterranean place I've been to. The meat quality and taste is insanely good. My Fiance and I come here every now and then when we are craving Persian food. My Fiance is from Iran and his favorite dip is the mast o moosier it tastes very fresh and their pita is very soft. I like to order the Gheymeh and we share the chicken kabob. Both the steak kabob and chicken are very flavorful and tender, very well cooked and their rice is very buttery soft and fluffy. I would rate 5 stars but sometimes the lady that works on weekends can be a bit rude. We had an unpleasant experience one weekend when we asked to be seated in a bigger table because the tables for 2 are just way too small. She let us sit there but then some other guys came in and needed the bigger table...I assumed she didn't know we spoke Farsi and they started to say rude things but once she found out we could understand she seemed a bit embarrassed. I feel like when you work in these types of jobs you shouldn't be rude and talk about your customers because you never know if they will understand you or not. It's simply unprofessional. We live nearby in Mountain View but never thought to stop by. Swung by during an off-hour period at 4pm, but they were extremely gracious and attentive in their service. Food had incredible flavor, well seasoned and very well executed. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the food - while it may look like other Greek cuisine, the execution was what really set it apart. The yogurt sauce had more depth of flavor than other spots I've been to; the meat was tender and had great flavor. I called to place a to-go order and was told the restaurant had "run out of food." During business hours. WHAAAT??!!! What made this especially confusing is that I was sitting in the parking lot at the time and could see customers actively going in and out of the restaurant. Immediately after the call, I checked their online ordering system it was still fully operational and accepting payments. Customers could place and pay for orders without any indication that the restaurant was "out of food." I called back to clarify (this time speaking in Farsi). The response I received was that she "hadn't gone online to fix it yet." There was no apology. No urgency. Just attitude. If a restaurant cannot fulfill orders, disabling online ordering should be immediate very "common sense". Leaving it active while telling customers you're "out of food" creates confusion at best and mistrust at worst. Running out of food happens but not every item on the menu, & Poor communication and dismissive customer service do not have to. This is particularly disappointing because my entire family has ordered from here regularly. After this interaction, I won't be returning and neither will my family or friends. Loyalty should be valued, not taken for granted. I hung up the call rather than continue a conversation that lacked basic professionalism. I hope management reevaluates how situations like this are handled. read more

Qualityyyyy Persian food! We had the braised lamb shank baghali polo with the dill rice and we damn near cleaned the plate! The lamb fell off the bone--all we needed was a fork. I loooved the extra jus they give you on the side instead of serving it in a puddle of liquid. This was plenty to feed two, in addition to a side salad and tzatziki with some bread they gave us! The servers (owners?) were super sweet and gave us extra tzatziki and bread just because. You can tell they really care about everyone who comes in and they were very attentive. Came here on a Monday night with friends. This place is tucked away next to a world market, I honestly thought it was on Castro and glad it wasn't lol. There was no one there but it was nice cus service was super quick. The lady took our order immediately and brought out the food quickly. I ordered the healthy salmon option with veggies. It came out plated beautiful and plenty of food. Felt like the place was reasonable for what I got. I couldn't finish my food but man it tasted so good and so satisfying. I came for my bday and the lady brought out baklava with a candle for me and I thought that was so sweet. It tasted amazing.
