Super awesome! My car wouldn't start and I was stranded with a hungry toddler. I called my towing service that I pay for and they quoted me 90min +. I found Casis on Yelp and called them. They asked a few questions and said they should b able to jump the car. They had a guy there in less than 10min and my car was running. We followed them back to the shop where they were able to run additional tests and determine the issue. They are very attentive, honest, great customer service, and fast! Absolutely first rate. What impressed me the most was initiative. I went in to top up a leaky tire and, without my asking, they inspected at all my tires, and looked up replacements. I had spent three months online looking for these and even the dealership I bought the car from couldn't find them due to supply chain disruption. Most of the time, the old adage "you get what you pay for" applies. Cue today's experience --- slow leak in my front tire on my SUV. I don't feel like dealing with the wait and constant upsells at the mega-chain (NOT Discount) that I bought my tires and road hazard warranty from. Pull into Casis Village Shell and explain the problem to Charlie, who promptly removes my tire and finds the slow leak. He patches the tire while I waited without performing one of those BS "courtesy inspections" that the chains do in an effort to scare/sell you into something else even for a free warranty repair. I've had better. All I wanted was an oil change, and I got a coupon in the mail for $13 off, so I went in on a Saturday. I pulled up at 2pm (the coupon said they'd be open until 4), and asked for an oil change. Roger, the manager, looked at me like I was the most inconsiderate asshole he'd ever laid eyes upon. Roger: "Yeahhhh... you really should come earlier if you expect an oil change on a Saturday." Me: "Your ad says you're open until 4 on Saturdays." Roger: "Right, well, our lube tech gets off at 2. You should come back on a weekday." Me: "When are you open on weekdays?" Roger: "We're open until 7." Me: "Ok, I'll come in Monday after work, around 5:30." Roger: *looks indignant* "We take the last car at 4:30." Me: "But I don't get off work till 5." Roger: "Then you'll need to come in on Saturday." Fine. I come back next Saturday. I pull into the driveway at 12:30pm. Roger again. Me: "I'd like an oil change." Roger: "I don't know if I'll be able to fit you in today." Me: "I thought your lube tech gets off at 2." Roger: "Yeah, but there are several cars ahead of you that are considering getting oil changes." Me: "Considering it?" Roger: "Yeah, they might get them. I'll have to ask." Me: "Can you take my car anyway, in case?" Roger: *looks hesitant* "I don't know... do you want to wait for up to 3 hours?" Me: "Ummm... I guess if I have no other choice." I wait for less than one hour, and it's ready. Roger: "Well lucky for you, the other cars didn't get an oil change. But when we did a check we noticed you're a bit low on coolant. We added some, so we're going to have to charge you for that." Me: "I didn't know you were going to do that. I could have done that myself if you were going to charge me for it." Roger: "Well you have this coupon so it'll come out of that, so you're not really paying for it." Me: "Ummm... ok. So just to double check, what all exactly did you do?" Roger: *looks pissed* "Like I SAID, we added coolant, and we changed your oil. That's it." I paid and got out. I don't know if I've ever been treated quite as rudely by a mechanic shop before. Perhaps because it's in Tarrytown, and all the cars ahead of me were Lexuses, BMWs, and Benzes, and I drive a 99 Dodge Neon, they thought I was beneath them. The man who came in while I was waiting and inquired as to the servicing of his teenage daughter's Lexus SUV was treated a lot better. Whatever. I'm not going here again. 2 stars for having my car ready in less than an hour. read more

Long story short, they get to it waaay before the promised day, fixed it a low price (i did price radiators) and were very suggestive and understanding to the problem. If you're looking for a shop you can trust, this is the place. I've been bringing my car here for oil changes and repairs for about two years now, and I've always been happy with the service. They're very helpful and honest. I took my car in last year when my AC went out, and even though it turned out to be an electrical problem that they couldn't fix, they didn't just hand it back over for me to figure out. They took it to another shop that was able to determine the problem. The whole thing took about three days, and the car had so many problems I ended up selling it instead of having them fix it, but they didn't charge me anything for all the time they spent looking at it. I live in the area so I also get gas here often, and the mechanics are always at your car to greet you and give your windshield a complimentary cleaning. read more

I love this place ... it's kind of how I'd imagine a neighborhood service station from the 50s would feel. The owner, Scott, is usually around ... and most of the staff have been on board for a long time too. It's the kind of place where people recognize you and greet you with a smile. But of course the most important thing is that they do terrific mechanical work (on my Japanese and German cars no less) for a VERY reasonable rate. And even though their business is brisk, they've always been able to see me pretty quickly too. When I stopped by to have a break light replaced this morning, Scott fixed it himself - and then refused to let me pay for it. He just shook my hand and said, "We'll just take care of it next time." I received a quote for a blower motor at a different auto repair shop for $1,000. Xavier at Casis Shell quoted me $649. It ended up costing $218 because it didn't take them as long to make the repair as they expected. He could have been dishonest and charged me the original estimated amount; but he didn't. Wow. Casis Shell is fantastic. Excellent service. I can't state enough the attention I received from Javier and how he goes above and beyond. I ordered new tires from TireBuyer.com and had them shipped here for installation. I called in advance to make sure they knew the tires were coming. Javier was on top of it. FedEx has indicated a Thursday delivery. He called me first thing Friday morning to tell me they hadn't arrived. I was hoping to get them installed before hitting the road to Dallas on that Friday and he remembered this from our conversation the previous Monday . Eventually he called Friday around noon and said the tires were in and to come over whenever I could. I got there about 30 minutes later and he had them installed and balanced in under an hour. I had been looking for a new mechanic I could trust since my car was now out of the service contract. We went over all of the service the dealer had been telling me I needed for the last 10k miles. He could have said "Yeah, you need that and I can do it cheaper." He didn't though. He pulled up the factory maintenance schedule and showed me none of what they told me was necessary. That's an honest and ethical business owner. I had him quite a few basic services and the prices were extremely reasonable. I will be going back! read more

The orange gas light had been on for a while and I was going on fumes so I had to pull into the first gas station I came to this afternoon. I was flabbergasted when a gentleman named Charlie came out and started washing my windshield before I could even get out of my car. I opened the door with a question on my lips and he pointed to the FULL SERVICE sign at the pump I'd parked at. What??? I haven't even seen a Full Service station in 15 years!! It's so nice to see gas stations like this still exist. Pulled up to the self-service pump today and two friendly gentlemen came out and began cleaning my pollen-encrusted windshield and rear window....And I wasn't even at their full service pump (can't believe that still exists..so retro cool!). Ended up having them patch a leaky tire from a nail while I shopped next door. They called me on my cell 15 minutes later and BOOM...done. And the gas is $.20/gallon cheaper than the Shell station in the Westlake mark-up zone. I will be back!!! read more

If I could give them 10 stars I would! On a very gloomy and rainy Saturday morning me and my friends were in a hurt to make a 5k run. We unfortunately ran out of gas up the street and we quickly maDe our way to the shell station over on exposition. As soon as we arrived with sheer panic on our faces, two mechanics stepped out and asked how they could help. They immediately offered to let us borrow their gas can and even drove us back to the broken down car! They were like angels!! These guys are the best and represent what customer service used to be - like being part of a real neighborhood where people know each and are always helpful. We just had a real ordeal with our Honda Fit. In the heat of the summer, while we were on vacation, a mother rat put her nest of baby rats in the engine area of our car and they ate through wires! Horrible! Had it towed to our Casis station garage and they discovered this but treated it with good humor and facilitated the transfer to the dealership because we needed to have it serviced there to file a claim. The techs at Casis Shell are AWESOME. Seriously. Never, ever thought I would say that about a repair shop/ gas station since I have had a ton of bad experiences at other shops and became generally jaded when it comes to mechanics. The techs are always really nice, and having my windows cleaned when I stop for gas (or getting full-service) totally rocks, but that's not the main reason I love them. I have never been able to trust mechanics, especially now that I have a BMW. I know mechanics will try to gouge me any chance they get...not only because I am a chick that knows very little about cars, but because of having a BMW, but I have not had that experience at all at this shop. Casis Shell is around the corner from my job, so when I was having car issues and didn't know of any other mechanics in the area, I figured I would give them a shot. I needed a tune up and they thought my O2 sensor needed to be replaced, but to save me money, told me I could just get the tune up and see if the issue with the O2 sensor went away, as sometimes the need for a tuneup will cause the issue I was having. If the issue didn't go away, the sensor would need to be replaced. It sounds small, but they could have just told me it absolutely 100% had to be done, and they didn't - they were honest and charged a fair price. Furthermore, they were right - after the tuneup, the O2 sensor issue fixed itself and I ended up not needing to replace it, even if I did, the price they were asking was not that bad at all. This week, my radiator light started coming on and on top of that, my husband thought my car had leaked oil in our driveway, so he wanted me to take my car in ASAP. I went yesterday around noon, but the techs told me they couldn't get to my car that day, as they were really busy, so I could make an appointment or leave it overnight. I made an appointment to bring it back in the next morning. I didn't know what the light was, and the techs politely told me it was the light for my radiator. Before I left, they checked the light for me and the manager, Scott, checked my fluids and topped off my coolant to make sure I would be good until the next day. No charge, just being kind. I couldn't believe that even though they were super busy, they took the time to help me out and make sure my car was good until the next day - I couldn't be more appreciative. I brought my car in today and dropped it off. I was dreading the bill...my car likes costing me an arm and leg randomly. When they were done checking it out, they let me know that my car was totally fine - the oil might have come from one of our guests' cars and I didn't have a coolant leak, it just needed to be topped off, hence the light. I went to pick up my car and the service fee was a little over $20, which was expecting to pay $100 or so. While I was checking out, Scott told me he noticed my blinker was not working and that it wasn't the bulb, but the LED strip. I knew about it, but also knew the part alone (without labor) cost $250 and had kind of put it off when I thought something major was wrong with my car. Scott told me he would look into it and see what he could find for me. Not even an hour later, he called and let me know that he found the part I needed and that with the part, labor, and taxes all together, it would only be $190. I was floored and we set a date for me to come in based on when he thought the part would arrive. These guys totally made my day today. Based on my experiences with them, I've decided that if I move on from my job (which is walking distance from the shop), I will continue to go to them, and make the drive from wherever I am because they are totally worth it. My husband (who doesn't typically trust mechanics when it comes to my cars) loves these guys as well and totally trusts whatever they say needs to be done (or not done) after he had talked to them during my last repair and based on my experiences from taking my car in this time. I even recommend them to all of my employees and coworkers. It is rare to find quality mechanics that charge a more than fair price that actually care. I was in a rush and had to use the full service pump, and because I was in a hurry, only got gas. They charged me $3.15 pet gallon of regular when the price was actually $2.77. Never. Ever. Take your car here. I came in for some routine maintenance and before I came, I called earlier to get a price check. They said $650 - I thought that was fair. I went in there and Bam! I get a bill for $950. ON top of that as I was driving home, mar car over heated. I had to take it back and when I did, they said my radiator had busted. Since they felt guilty they offered to fix it at $400 instead of their usual $600. Google radiator repair cost and EVERYBODY says it should be around $400. More bull shit. As I have read around the web, this is a con that mechanics pull - fix your car, break your radiator, oops more money for you to spend. Long story short my car still has problems from ROUTINE MAINTENANCE - IT WASNT EVEN BROKEN BEFORE. The worst mechanic, hands down. read more
